Regarding Lawrence O'Donnell, my heart sank when I heard his original report. Not because I doubt its veracity, necessarily, but because I knew he was overstepping journalistic standards—to say nothing of MSNBC's reporting policies—in order to take a half-calculated risk. Maybe he was rushing ahead in order to be the first to report news we're all waiting for. After all, journalism lives or dies on the power of the scoop. But I don't think that was it.
To me, the greater incentive for O'Donnell to risk reporting the unverified account of only one unnamed source is this: He's a pugilist who despises a bully, a liar, and a racist—and in all his years of reporting, America has never seen worse. (After Drumpf's gone, may we never see the likes of him again.) So, I think O'Donnell's number one intention was just to scare the living daylights out of the president and his eldest children. And given the legal warnings, I KNOW he accomplished it.
Unfortunately, he's made the fight so personal that, in the short term, he will have lost some measure of credibility for himself and his colleagues at MSNBC. Which of course, the right wing is just loving... For now.
The Thing Is (and please forgive my caps lock for emphasis):
The man's tax returns have replaced the Mueller report as the lone bastion of the "right fight." And I think that's a mistake. I believe the returns will be released, but they aren't accurate or honest, and they are far too complex to describe in an easy soundbite. Besides, way back when he was a candidate debating Hillary Clinton on stage, Drumpf told the world he believes that cheating on his taxes makes him "smart."
We don't need to see the names of two Russian (or Saudi or any other) oligarchs as co-signors on the man's loans. WE ALREADY KNOW everything we need to know to bring him down. It's just a matter of willingness.
Drumpf isn't a businessman; he's a con artist with a boner for the mobster class. He doesn't create businesses to build wealth. He does it, again and again and again, to attract other peoples' wealth so he can GUT the business (e.g., in bankruptcy court), and then walk away scot-free, having already funneled its resources far away with the use of tax shelters and other schemes.
Beyond that, THE MAN IS A MONEY LAUNDERER.
Since 2006, he's paid for properties entirely in CASH—golf courses, Scottish estates, a freaking winery in Charlottesville, VA! WaPo says the dollar figure for Drumpf's cash property purchases comes to something like 400 million dollars. You don't need a business degree or a dozen Russian co-signors to know that's bald face corruption.

He sold five condos in Trump Tower to his dear pal, a big time Russian mobster, who then used those purchases to launder money and hide assets.
He sold a Palm Beach mansion to a Russian oligarch for $95 million, a $54M mark-up on a property the guy never even occupied.
He sent Ivanka to Azerbaijan to build a fake hotel (in an obviously unnecessary place for a hotel) in partnership with Azerbaijani oligarchs tied to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. For crying out loud!
As a matter of record, the man has been in bed with more dirty dealers than you can shake a pee tape at. Casino crooks in Vietnam, racketeers in India, smurfs in Kazakhstan. And on and on.
Plus, how many of his own advisors did Robert Mueller help indict and convict? Right.
From inauguration campaign corruption to clear and mounting breaches of the emoluments clause. From "catch and release" to the Steele Dossier. From Danske Bank, Deutsche Bank, to the Panama Papers. Seriously, you could get carpal tunnel just trying to type .001% of this man's known crimes in a single post.
So, I'll stop. Point being, the question isn't when or if his tax documents will get released. It's whether and when Congress is going to act to remove a known multiple felon from the White House.

It’s frustrating when everyone like O'Donnell have apologized, but it's ok for Trump to lie and break laws every day and never apologize or is held accountable.
It really shows how divided America still is, and he calls other countries shit holes.
I believe, as frustrating and slow as it has been, that Nancy and the Dems are going about it the right way. Also the more that gets uncovered, the more you will see Trump mentally lose control, which he already is showing.
Karma will prevail and I hope all the other corrupt Republicans like Barr and McConnell go down as well.

I'm not Lawrence O'D, so I can't say for sure, but I don't think his report was just about standing up to a bully. On the very day he made the report, Deutsche Bank had filed a report with the court stating that they had some of IQ45's income tax returns, and that of some of his children.
In May the courts ruled that Congress could obtain financial records from the bank in their probe of Rumpus. Being who he is, and what he's trying to hide, Drumpf filed an appeal to keep the records from Congress, saying they had no rights to make such requests.
I find the timing interesting .On the day that the courts get notification that these records do indeed contain some tax returns, Lawrence drops this bombshell. I think it may have been intended to let the public and Congress know so that there's more pressure on the courts to do the right thing, and make these records available to Congress for their investigation.
@VestraLux and @Cindy. I certainly agree with all you've said. I don't think we have heard the end of it, infact I think this is the big beginning.
On another note, someone on twitter stated that the hurricane is headed on a course to Mar Logo. If it hits and does substancial damage with out fatality I will renew my faith in God.
On a lighter note. Dump, Jr was inPikeville Ky last night holding a rally for Americs most hated Governor, Ky's Matt Bevin. To say the crowd was Sad is an understatement. One observer said the rally could have been held in Hardees! Less than 200 people in a predominate Republican county. Boo Hoo!
I will say that normally I would be quite agitated with regards to what looked like a breakthrough being walked back. But, for the past couple of days, I've still felt calm. What I believe this is telling me is that the information is accurate, the information will come out, just not as soon as we would have liked.
In my opinion, Trump's team flipped out on this, not because it was false, but rather it was true and they truly think they can keep this under wraps. They would threaten to sue, because they feel MSNBC won't be able to provide a document proving otherwise (because Trump's team thinks they will be successful in keeping this document hidden from public view).
Holy cow. Even as an avid member of the Twitterati, I missed this. There were multiple posts this week speculating that something was wrong (seems like such an inadequate term after 900+ days of insanity) with the orange one: someone noticed he went silent for 72 hours and the tweets couldn’t possibly be his because of the big words and compound sentence structures; others posted new video of him using slow, halting speech. And of course, I ignore his voice and only watch his hands now.
His left ear, too. If you look closely his left earlobe is twice the size of the right and has some weird fleshy growth on it.

I did a little more research into this and it turns out that, as they age, incidence rates for mini strokes (transient ischemic attacks) as well as for every type of dementia is higher than average among people with Axis II personality disorders. In the case of Chairman Drumpf, I think we can safely assume he has at least two: narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder. That's my professional armchair opinion, at any rate. Had to share.

When I saw T speaking slowly and somewhat slurring his words a few days ago during the “space force” talk I had a strong feeling that it could be what I had seen. I also saw that this becoming public causes him to have a meltdown and this then gets inquiries going.

Sometime last year, there was a prediction that trump would go silent in April which obviously didn’t happen then. But my recollection was that he became unable to speak.

With "a whimper" is an excellent way to describe how I've always seen his departure. Goodness knows he's made plenty enough bangs for a dozen lifetimes. But the man has Uranus conjunct his sun, directly opposite his fire sign moon, which makes him not only fiery and provocative, but highly unpredictable, so who knows?
[Incidentally, Elizabeth Warren also has Uranus conjunct her sun! But hers is at 0-degrees of Cancer, which is a very different animal. She uses all that spitfire/they-never-saw-me-coming energy for good.]
Prophetic timing is a slippery baby in the bathwater, that's for sure. In the last year, I've clearly heard or visually seen certain months or dates with visions that eventually came true, but only after those dates. And more recent dates have come and gone without any revelation, though I still sense the energy building for those particular events, so I'm not ruling them out even if I got the timing wrong. The latter predictions involve Drumpf.
I was contemplating the issue of confused timing earlier this week, and it occurred to me that, because he is so deeply parasitic (an energy vampire of the highest order), he actually appears to be supported by all of the negative news and attention he gets. The fact that he receives untold kilowatts of anger and animosity and disgust doesn't deter him; it feeds him! And I think this may be keeping him in place longer than he otherwise could be. It's like a timeline distortion trick.
But the man's body and mind are clearly deteriorating, so I want to believe there's only so long this can go on. But he's a son of Uranus, which means anything is possible where he's concerned. He doesn't just distort reality; he subverts it!
But he can and will be stopped. And I think that requires more than congress or the courts, but the will and action of the collective.
We can actively turn our emotional attention away from what disturbs us about him, which inadvertently feeds him (we can choose to observe his actions more impassively). And we can focus clearly, directly, and mindfully on the positive emotional outcome we hope to see (truth and resolution emerging, his departure, people dancing in the streets, a more progressive government, etc.).
I think I will start doing my part and will no longer pay attention to news about him or his cult of MAGAs.
During meditation today, I found myself looking back in time to our present day and saw the words folklore and mad king. Then I saw his orange, angry face imposed on a tiny cartoon body as he floated up and away. Several times I saw his face surrounded by a different costume and a tiny body as the air lifted him up. Each time he wafted away in the breeze with his angry face talking and blustering. He was as weightless and inconsequential as a dandelion blowing away.
@bluebelle, I wish I knew you in person and could call you on the phone so you could hear the sincerity and amazement in my voice. Not three hours ago while I was busy doing something with my hands (I tend to get my clearest visions and impressions while showering or making coffee or cleaning the kitchen, etc.), I flashed on an image of our current leader the way he would have looked as an adolescent. That immediately turned into an image of King Joffrey Baratheon from GoT. The words "mad king" came to mind (not for the first time), which made me think of all the historical mad kings Drumpf resembles.

But I laughed a little because it quickly came over me that we look back at these figures more as caricatures than former world rulers—shameful figures in the extreme, sensational stories in history. He's done horrible things, but he'll be like that.

Speaking of, last year I posted a prediction here somewhere about the Russian president. I had a sudden and powerful vision of him meeting his end "like Julius Caesar." I saw him sitting behind a dark, ornate oak desk in a very grand room. It was night. He heard them before he saw them and tried to stand up in an attempt to defend himself but failed. He saw his attackers as "betrayers" (so either men close to him, or men sent by those close to him, I assume). I got the sense that he was caught off guard in the moment, but that he wasn't surprised by his fate.
I'd forgotten about it for months but it's been coming to mind a lot this week. I have zero idea about timing for this, but I wonder whether anyone else here sees anything regarding his future. And Russia's.
Today I saw Trump and Ivanka in a boat ( Melania in the back seat ) on turbulent waters sinking and begging for help. Their hands were reaching out to us, but noone was there to help. I also saw him with severe mental and physical ailments and trying to hide them.
