@suspira44

I can relate to your experience.  When Bush attacked Saddam in 2003, I was immediately against it.  (I felt that Osama Bin Laden should be captured first.  As there was no sign in was in Iraq, why open a war on two fronts?)  Of course, people questioned my sanity and asked why I was so unpatriotic.  I told them I was very patriotic, but I was also strategic and logical as well.  You can't win a war if you are fighting multiple enemies on many sides.

To demonstrate my point, I refered to a similar situation from World War II, when Hitler attacked Russia even though he had not yet conquered all of Europe.  He threw his best army forces in the battle of Stalingrad, and they were very close to winning.  But a combination of Russian stubbornness to refuse defeat, the arrival of winter and subzero temperatures, and the fact that the German troops were so far from their established supply lines ultimately spelled their doom as millions dies and at least 110,000 German soldiers were captured and rounded up into prison camps (Note: less than 5,000 survived to the end of the war.)

Some saw my point once they realized that I was protesting the timing of the attack, but others still refused to go off their attacks of me being unpatriotic.

What we need to remember is that Trump and his supporters will continue to attack us and others as ferociously as possible by lies and slander.  They believe that if they condition us by repeatedly attacking us over and over, we will one day believe them (very similar to a way an abuser will condition his victim.  Tell them that it is all the victim's fault, that the victim is worthless, etc., and eventually the victim will believe them).

Well, Trump and Trumpers, you are going to have to do better than that!  Because we will not back down.  We will continue to seek the truth and reject the darkness, and no amount of bullying, gaslighting, etc. will ever make us back down and accept your darkness.  Yes, you will discourage us.  Yes, you will yell and scream lies and slander until you are blue in the face.  But just as we have no hope of making you realize the truth, so to as there is no hope for you to succeed in making us give us.  Our light will continue, and nothing you do will ever extinguish it.  Light will always win.  End of story.

That is only why I have my family and close friends on FB. I do have the news sites and some pages that are against T. I like going on CNN and seeing how dumb T supporters are they never have factually things to back up their statements. I don’t engage with anyone I just let everyone else do it and it’s hilarious how dumb they are. I don’t even post anything about T to my page. I don’t want to give my self a headache and if a friend or family supports him I just mute the persons page so I don’t have to see any of their postings.

If there was ever any more evidence needed that Donald Trump's mental state is unraveling by the day it is this latest move. The assassination of Iranian General Soleimani in downtown Baghdad by a US drone strike is going to come back to bite us with a vengeance. I can't think of a more short sighted, counter productive, and poorly conceived idea. The Secretary of State's claim that it "disrupted" an imminent attack is transparently ludicrous. In one stroke we have turned the populations of two countries against us, driven Iraq into the welcoming arms of Iran, and given Iran every reason to go full speed ahead in developing an atomic weapon.  Not to mention a lot of Americans will probably die as a result of this.

I've been seeing a lot of social media posts about "they attacked our diplomats" justifying this assassination.  Convenient they "forgot" about the missile strikes earlier in the week that precipitated the protest/attack on the US embassy in Iraq.

Now, for those folks (who NEVER play the tape forward), what do they think will happen?  Ho Hum, they killed our general and an Iranian general on our soil.....we better just do nothing....

Yeah.

How did that work out in Pearl Harbor?  How did that work out on 9/11?

If  General Richard Clarke (the current head of US Special forces) flew to Syria and Iran blew him up in his car, how do you think Americans would react?  We'd want swift retaliation.

Iran may not be able to hit us with missiles, but they know that they can hit Americans throughout the world with terror attacks.  Trump just unleashed this.

You hit the nail on the head. School yard bullies always assume that human nature doesn't apply to other people.

The Pentagon "gamed out" a hot war with Iran - they can do some real damage to us. The war game estimate tens of thousands of American casualties. Let's hope cooler heads prevail.

My take is that Trump has some major insecurity in the manhood department.

BREAKING: A Whistleblower told the FBI that Trump’s Deutsche Bank loans were backed by Russian state-owned bank, VTB Bank. VTB was proposed lender for Trump Tower Moscow and allegedly funded the Rosneft Deal. New docs show deep ties between Deutsche + VTB.

I remember someone predicted that the Deutche Bank would give up Trump info. I tried to access the news website but apparently it crashed from so much traffic.

@rosieheart

I'm afraid no one cares. I don't know what will make people turn against him, I really don't. And I feel sorry for these women who come forward, they're called liars and it isn't right.

********************************************************************

[Moderator note: This provocative  post and subsequent responses to it were moved from the HITS Thread, following a post that we had a hit in a prediction that another woman would come forth about Trump. I moved it to this thread so people could weigh in here.].  Here's that post:

From Roseheart: From the October 9, 2019 predictions for January 2020:

  • Another sex scandal affecting Trump. (Jeanne Mayell)

This is a hit.  An Ex-Fox reporter has just (Jan. 3, 2019) come forward with a story about Trump hitting on her before he was elected.   See the link below:

@lenor

This fits a few predictions and lends more credence to the optimism of some of the predictions for Trump's unraveling. It also lends credence to the March and April shake up I felt, along with a few others, would happen this year.

I totally understand your disappointment at how successful the GOP has been at shielding Donald Trump from his crimes, including his crimes against women. It is so disappointing.  But people do care about his abuse of women. Women on both sides of the aisle care.  And women's opinions matter. When one woman comes out, it emboldens more, especially someone from FOX. This man has abused hundreds of women and at some point, the Epstein leaks will happen and we will learn about his encounters with fifteen year olds.
