"Simpler times" rings true; this is what we desire. No more rat race.

The good news is that simpler times do exist, here and now. I live in a community in Colorado that, in my eyes, combines some of the best of old-fashioned simplicity and progressive living. My city is big on education, families, libraries, and gardening. It's moving towards city-provided, affordable Internet service, has several high-tech, medium-tech, and design firms, plus microbreweries, recognized across the nation, and is forward-thinking, for the most part.

Lots of bike riding (kids in my neighborhood are always out riding bikes and skating when the weather's good), a cute, thriving old town, some neighborhoods with huge, old trees, and lots of open, natural spaces everywhere. A drive-in that's doing really well now that the theaters are closed. A city park with a little train for the kids to ride and a lake with paddle boats. We have some vegan and vegetarian restaurants, a lot of amazing ethnic food offerings, a vibrant geek/nerd community, and active retirees. As a whole, the community supports and embraces LGBTQIA individuals (some of my and my kids' very best friends identify as LGBTQIA), and we have safety nets for people and families who can't afford health care, housing, or food.

It's not a utopia and there's much room for improvement. Traffic can be awful. I would love to see commuter trains on the tracks that crisscross our city instead of just freight trains. Racists, homophobes, and small-minded people definitely exist here too, sadly. But despite exceptions, overall the majority of the people are goodhearted, aware, and helpful.

So I feel these communities that some people feel nostalgic for do exist, and perhaps they can serve as examples as we move towards a world with new (and hopefully better) priorities. We can merge nature and technology, new with old, in ways that meet today's needs while continuing to make progress without having to return to the negative, discriminatory, and unfair sentiments of days gone by.

My heart feels heavy and I don’t even know how to express all of the grief and sadness that I feel. The weight of the collective is quickly reaching its limit. I meditated today and got the following:

I saw T panicking and in a car. He wants to leave and go to Russia where he thinks he will be welcome. I see large numbers of people outside the gates of the WH bowing their heads down and their arms are crossed across their chests. It is silent and judgement of T’s actions has come. I see yellow arrows of light in the air shooting upwards.

I asked my guides what is coming. They said that every decision that T makes brings him closer to the end of his power. What is currently happening is what is necessary to wake people up and consciously decide that this is not what they want and to turn towards a better and kinder future. What can we do to help? Keep sending light, show kindness in adversity and help others.

I am thinking of all of you and sending light to all those who are suffering and are afraid. Things will get better, but we have to get through this first.

@baba You wrote: What is currently happening is what is necessary to wake people up and consciously decide that this is not what they want and to turn towards a better and kinder future....  I have gotten this too--that there is purpose in all of this.  So sad that this is what it takes, but it seems to be.  May George Floyd not have died in vain.

The following is what I got during today’s meditation:

I see the WH. The sky is pink (either dawn or dusk). Behind the fence there are police in riot gear dressed in black. In front of the fence, I see protesters handing the police flowers through the fence. The police start to visibly relax. Beyond that group, there is another group of people surrounding the area facing outwards. Their arms are linked and their heads are bowed in meditation and they are sending light as a group.

I see Erdogan smiling and laughing. He releases damaging info. on T that makes T. afraid. This also angers the Russians. I heard late June as the time frame.

As an aside, I have repeatedly seen large crowds of people in front of the White House during my meditations over the last few months. I kept thinking that it might be spirits and but under the current circumstances, I get the feeling that I was seeing real crowds of people.

Stay safe and stay centered folks and keep breathing!

Um, Jeanne? I have a rocked-out, authentically retro 1950's kitchen. Thanks for killing my buzz. Now I have to redecorate. ?

I wasn't around in the 1950's; I made my entrance during the calm, idyllic '60's, but it's interesting what you said-I read an article last year about how the '50's is the most glossed over, romanticized decade of the 20th century.

Tomato aspic and salmon mousse. Yum

What's wrong with frozen peas? ?  At least they're not gray like canned peas.

"Fools Rush In".... ???

The good part of the ' Fifties...

Motown! And Jack Kerouac and the Beats....

A much simpler time, and not all bad actually. The pre-tech 'Sixties were the bomb though ?

@polarberry, I have a semi-retro early 50's kitchen.  I have a red and white chrome kitchen table with red vinyl and chrome chairs, as well as a vintage 50's cupboard and a red chrome step stool w/seat. The kitchen is white, black and red.  I was trying to achieve a 50's diner feel.

I was born in '52.  When I was in my 20's I wore a lot of vintage clothing -- 40's-early-50's.  I strongly believe that I lived during WWII because I've always felt nostalgic for that period, even as a small child.

On the surface it might appear that life was much simpler in the 50's, but tell that to people of color or any disenfranchised group.  That's a sanitized memory.  And growing up I did wonder why our life didn't even remotely resemble the 50's TV show  "Father Knows Best"!  That told me everything I needed to know.

Tomato aspic ... NOT!  ?

THANK YOU so much for these meditations of yours - I adore hearing them. I just posted something in the great turning thread (before reading these meditations from the past few days) that I felt that the whole race war that T was stoking and thinking he could use to possibly create martial law and stall the election will actually backfire on him and his minions. ?

When it was announced that the Secret Service took Trump to an underground bunker last night, I got an immediate vision of Saddam Hussein hiding in the hole he had dug for himself--in all of their similarities.  And, then I saw Val Demings as Biden's VP choice.  I had seen her in this position back in January as well.

@baba Thank you for your visions.  I always enjoy reading them.  Not sure if it was your vision or Lawrence but there was a vision of the WH going dark.  The NYT reported that the WH turned off the lights due to the ongoing protest.

LOL!

To quote Jack Nicholson in Terms of Endearment, "I was just inches from a clean getaway!"

I don't love or hate Kool-Aid. I haven't drank it for years. My mother, God rest her, could never resist a stock-up sale on anything. When I was a kid, the sale price was ten packets for $1. My brother and I were allowed to pick out the flavors. Then the packets would go home to be rubber-banded together for the next ten years until they crystallized to the point of being valuable gemstones.

My mom was pretty progressive about food and healthy eating, even back then, and she hated Kool-Aid. She would gripe about the food coloring and the amount of sugar it called for, so we were only allowed to add less than half the amount, so it had all the appeal of cheap, watered down floor cleaner. We tried to tell her that it was the sugar that made it so good, but she wasn't buying it. ?

My kids never cared much for it so I got lucky.

Baba! I thought of you last night when I saw the photographs of the White House. For the first time in recorded memory, they'd turned off the exterior lights. Am I making this up or didn't you share a vision with us sometime back about seeing the White House go dark?

That, along with your prescient description of groups of people outside, encircling the White House at night... Just wow!

Feeling very grateful for your presence here with us. ?

Thank you @VestraLux I did indeed see the White House go dark several times during my meditations and also repeatedly saw large groups of people in front of the WH. It did catch my attention over the last day or so that these things are actually happening and I feel as surprised as anyone about it. I have gotten in the habit of writing down what I see during my daily meditation so that I can refer back to it, but generally write things down and let it go and don’t think about it much - almost as though the information just passes through me.

@baba

Beautiful. That's when you know it's really coming from a higher source. (I'd forget most of what comes to me if I didn't have a practice of writing it down.)

@jeanne-mayell, we have a HIT. Not sure if you move @baba's visions to a predictions page, but wanted to be sure you saw it.
