Hi Vestralux! You are indeed correct about the tolling of the statute of limitations (essentially "freezing" it). I haven't read the '73 memo but I heard a legal commentator mention that it includes tolling of the statute from crimes committed by the president while in office. Additionally, even if the statute isn't tolled, continued wrongdoing "refreshes" the crime, making the statute of limitations run from the LAST criminal act. So, I'm hoping he's sunk. Not that we should hope for bad things to happen to people, but whatever.

I sincerely hope the '73 memo did incorporate tolling for the statute, plus you make a great point about new or ongoing crimes. Speaking of, there's reasonable speculation that the reason DT is presently waging racist attacks on Rep. Elijah Cummings may have to do with the latter's effective strategies to investigate the Administration. Cummings is chairmain of the House Oversight Committee, and has been building "damning evidence" against Kushner.
Alternately, Tim Wise makes an excellent case that DT is very strategically attempting to emulate David Duke's old campaign tactic, which was to overtly race bait (which, duh, the man was an outspoken KKK Grand Wizard), and when his opponents then called him out for being a racist, to appeal to his constituents by saying essentially, "See how terrible they are? They're calling all of you racists!"
Subtext: They don't understand you or your needs and problems, but I do. Lowest common denominator politics, but it's a tried-and-true technique. In fact, Wise says that DT remarked back in '92 that David Duke could actually win the presidency that way (despite claiming after Charlottesville that he didn't know who Duke was).
To the Epstein case, I suspect that he's the essential link in a veritable trove of money laundering evidence, which Deutsche Bank, in its dying hours, may help prove. There's no doubt in my mind that he kept meticulous records, and that he would have gathered and stored evidence for potential blackmail. If Heidi Fleiss had a little black book, Epstein has an underground vault—flash drives with video, audio, banking transactions, the works.
I'd say his case will go well beyond sex trafficking, which on its own is notoriously difficult to prove in court (not to mention retraumatizing for victims). His crimes likely include operating offshore tax shelters and other financial schemes. He helped the rich become wealthy by hiding their cash, cleaning their cash, and who knows what else.
DT was in the casino business (however unsuccessfully), and that's a well-known money launderer's game. He's still doing it with real estate. The guy is a con man at the end of the day, just like Epstein. They're too interconnected for it to be coincidence.
Whether or not these things will be proven depends on two things: whether or not a very powerful person or persons involved with Epstein successfully thwarts the investigation, and whether or not the FBI and DOJ still have enough good people in positions of power to see justice done. I earnestly pray they do.
He is getting punished 3x what he is doing to others. Think of his uber-masculine persona that he has to project. His psyche cannot bear to be kess than the ultimate alpha male with unlimited virility, intellect and strength. Pair with that the fact that his body is failing him, his mind is deteriorating, and his invulnerability is disappearing. For the average person, that has to be a personal hell, but for someone with his desperate need for a perception of perfection, his inner thoughts have to be vompletely unbearable. He is currently in a personal mental hell that we could never imagine, nor survive.

Interested in hearing the details. Did he do it himself? Was he murdered to protect secrets?
If he killed himself, what a coward to escape his fear and anxiety so easily when hundreds of pubescent girls he abused have had to live with theirs for years. If there's any karma, he'll come back as something helpless against his abusers, maybe a hog raised in a factory farm, for a few dozen lifetimes.

With all the powerful people involved mixed up with him, I wouldn't be surprised it there is a lot more going on here than meets the eye. Also I would think there would have been a suicide watch on him with constant checks.
