Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has a GOP challenger in her next election. I have read so many negative comments about all over the internet that I get depressed. When people say she's popular and then I read the filth people post I get scared. I personally have always seen her being around for some time in government. Can someone reassure me - will she be reelected?

Like AOC, I'm also from the Bronx. I have every confidence she will get re-elected. Remember, she had to primary an incumbent Dem before winning her main election.  Her constituents love her. Not a lot of Trumpkins in the Bronx.

Short answer: no worries. According to the Cook Partisan Voting Index, AOC's district is rated as D+29, which means that in any given election, a Democratic candidate would be expected to take around 79% of the popular vote. She's only attracted so many haters because she's become the national avatar of progressive politics.

One other thing to remember when you read a lot of negative comments, Rep's have  whole slew of Bots, people who regularly go from website to website to slam Dems and people of color.
