The Vaccine - Many issues to discuss

I am happy to say that i was able to convince a loved one to get the vax.  She was resistant, but she is not a right-winger.  Her resistance was based on an old hippie distrust of Big Pharma, and the fact that the vax was rolled out under Donald Turnip's admin (which is actually the most logical reason i have heard of to be distrustful of it).

The way i convinced her was w a combination of facts, and a shameless amount heartstring yanking. I explained to her how much i loved her, and how horrible it would be to lose her.  And that since almost everyone who isn't vaxxed would probably get the virus, then she would too.  And that she would end up in the hospital (she has been a smoker since age 10).  And that once she was in the hospital, no one would be allowed to visit.  And that would mean that we would have to say our goodbyes now, while we still could.

And then i called and begged her, everyday, for 3 weeks, until she finally gave up and got the shot!

@unk-p Have you been hearing ambulances this whole time this surge has been happening in Houston? I've been hearing or seeing ambulances 3-4 times a day for the last month and I live in Westchase.

@lovendures thanks, Love.  But i was just putting that out there so that if anyone else is having trouble convincing their people to get vaxxed, they can feel free to steal my technique.  It's so hard to get thru to some folks.  None of the other ways i have tried have worked.

@unk-p Your technique made me laugh out loud and feel so much heart for both of you. What a great technique for loved ones.

The Covid-19 culture war has a new front: country music. Numerous artists are taking a stand about concert pandemic precautions including requirement of vaccinations, often along partisan lines.
