I wish I had known this before but pressing a cold pack against one's sore arm from time to time does seem to help and reduce the inflammation!
@tgraf66 pretty much my experience !! I was waiting for the J&J because it's a one stick and I am an Epi-pen person... I decided to look up a local pharmacy starting to give vaccines the first week of April on 4-3-21 and I was able to make an appointment for the J&J vaccine that I got today. In 15 days I am considered fully vaccinated and by day 29 its been comparable to the Pfizer and Moderna and works on the variants also. My daughter and SIL got theirs on Monday (her- Moderna) and Tuesday ( him Pfizer). I am greatly relieved for us even as we will continue to wear masks and socially distance. I have felt no side effects at all thus far. So happy for us all ☺️
39% of the US population and more than 50% of the ADULT population has been partially vaccinated against Cold and 25% of the population has been fully vaccinated. Great news. The only concerning news is that it won't be long until we will be out of people who want to be vaccinated.

Received my 2nd vaccination Saturday at 1:27 am.
I had a headache for about one day and a low grade fever for a few hours but that was about it. Only a small arm ache now. It was Pfizer.

I just wanted to report that it's been four weeks since my second Moderna shot and whatever lingering side effects I had are all gone.
Both Pfizer and Moderna are talking about a third booster shot and I definitely want to get that when it comes out. I waited four weeks to (finally!) get a haircut and it was heaven. Even just a little bit of the old ordinary life stuff is thrilling. I'm still masking and distancing, but I feel so much more protected and also like I'm doing my civic duty.

The numbers in my county right now are actually higher than they were in late January. People are DONE complying, and many never took it seriously in the first place. Three major outbreaks have all tracked back to youth sports, and the UK variant seems to be the major factor right now. Interestingly, the state health department also says more than 40% of my county has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine ... who's left to even catch this?
I've had both of my Pfizer shots - zero issues whatsoever. My husband got the J&J ... the day before the recall. He's fine; no issues there, either. My 16yo daughter had her first dose of Pfizer, and gets her second in a little more than a week. No problems for her. Hopefully my son can get his this week; his college has been vaccinating anyone on campus, and moves to off-campus students this week.
Anecdotally, a friend of mine is currently covid positive - and she was fully vaccinated. (Can't remember which she had, but it was a two-shot.) She feels okay and knows she won't be hit as hard because she's more protected, but she said it's likely a variant that her vaccine didn't cover. Four of the five people in her family tested positive, after a year of doing everything right. She said it was probably from her son's baseball team. She is a nurse, and even with this in her family, she is still urging everyone to get the vaccine to protect from hospitalization, serious illness, and death.

I had my second shot Saturday and have been doing really well, only had minor side effects for a few hours really. I too will get a second dose when it is available.
I think we will be hearing more about these variants infecting those fully vaccinated unfortunately. My site got rid of mask mandates and I expect there to be more cases of the fully vaccinated getting the virus because of the variants. Thank goodness most of the stores I frequent still require people to wear masks. Saw a clerk at Sprouts chase down someone who entered without one a few days ago. The clerk gave him a disposable one and the man did accept it. That was good. I worry about some anti-maskers causing havoc. At least he didn't confront the clerk.
My mom and I got our first dose of Moderna Tuesday last week, and the next day, I woke up feeling tired while my mom had body chills and a fever.
Me and my wife had our 2nd shot of Pfizer yesterday (4/21), some soreness near the injection spot, and fogginess the rest of the day, into this morning. Feeling like like that's fading now...
Smooth getting it done, it was at a local arena-when I went, they let me do drive-through as it was slow inside. The state of NM is running this pretty well, hope that more people will get it done!

I have begun hearing about "false positive"s for women who have received a covid vaccination and then had a mammogram.
Here is what I discovered.
Yes, the vaccinations appear to produce temporary enlarged lymph nodes which then result in false positives for some women. So you might want to speak with your doctor if you or a loved one is due for a mammogram. Many doctors are adding covid shot questions to questionnaires and asking patients to reschedule a few months after their shot for an exam.
Something to ask your doctor about if you are due for an image.
