Thanks for the information, @bluebelle. I saw that trajectory you are talking about, and it is scary. It seems like your governor is quite proactive, but there are so many unknowns. I live outside of DC in Northern Virginia, and know that it's spreading here. Once you do all that you humanly can, it really is in the hands of a higher power. I am keeping all of you in my daily meditation and prayers.
The friend I mentioned has a sister who lives with her family in Northern California. They are Trump supporters and believe we are overreacting to this whole pandemic thing. So much so, that her sister is sending her daughter, off from college spring break, to Seattle for a few days to visit with a friend. As if that is not crazy enough, after her daughter comes home, then she, her mother and fragile father (cancer patient) will fly to Mexico. When my friend asked her sister how she would know her daughter was not contagious, her reply was "we will trust that she will be smart." Can you imagine? The father ends up in ICU when he gets a cold, and his lungs are horrible after septic shock 4 years ago. But this family just pretends everything is okay and believes God will keep them healthy.
Well @deetoo - the good news for them is they may all get to meet their god soon.
I used to live in NoVa, and right now am missing my small town...
Apparently IQ45 has tested negative for COVID-19. I wonder if it is actually true.

HA!!
As if he would ever tell the truth. In this shitty timeline we're in, everything he says is OPPOSITE.
I'd believe Mike Pence really is Race Bannon before I'd believe one word about Twitler and the coronavirus.
Governor Inslee of Washington just tweeted that is only a rumor that the state is going to quarantine or lock down.
https://twitter.com/govinslee/status/1239033160190443520?s=21
The PM has annonce that anyone who has recently arrived to Australia must quaratine up to 14 days. Also all foreign cruise ships are banned in Australian ports.
www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/15/all-overseas-arrivals-in-australia-must-self-isolate-for-14-days-amid-new-coronavirus-rules
I am absolutely devastated.
When my daughter showed me footage and twitter photos, I just simply burst into tears. My heart is shattered for our citizens who fled Europe and the UK on the last planes out as lockdowns went into effect. And they came home to this.
4-6 hours wait for luggage and 2-4 on average for customs. 9 hours for many people in line packed like sardines with people that will be contagiou because of where they just left. Many had no health checks performed when arriving because of the lines. If you were lucky and arrived at Chicago O'Hare, you might have been given water, hand sanitizer and a snack, after a few hours of your wait. If not, like at Dallas Fort Worth you were out of luck. Many were not even given instructions on how to self-quarantine as they should have been.
My thoughts are still swirling. People of any nation, fleeing for their lives at the last minute is simply horrid. Yet, to know that this is happening to people who are Americans arriving home to their own country is simply mind boggling.
I mentioned in the past about my friend in Paris who heard a rumor France was going on lockdown the day before it did. Well, she was able to get on one of the last planes out of Paris and arrived safely in London. But, I don't know yet if she was able to make it out of London and back to her home in Boston. I know not what her status is right now. She is traveling alone and is in her 70's. She is in poor health and receives innovative and experimental treatment 6 months a year in Paris for a degenerative condition. She uses a walker. She is a beautiful soul and I consider her family. I can't imagine her stuck in London right now and yet I can't imagine her stuck dealing with this arrival nightmare either.
I just can't even...
You must look at what just happened in the links below. to get a feeling for what I am describing.
My empathic traits are working overtime. This is not the only Coronavirus issue I am emotionally dealing with tonight.
My family is fine. We are all healthy. We are so blessed for that gift right now.
The burden however that my husband will bare tomorrow and for the foreseeable future during this 'time of the virus", is gigantic. Tomorrow, because of what the world has learned about Covid-19s, he will announce and implement the most difficult decision of his life. I can honestly say it will likely save lives, potentially many lives but he will be devastated, as will many others.
Everything changes tomorrow for the next unknown amount of time.

Game changer folks.
A study posted Sunday by Belgian and Dutch researchers shows that between 48% and 66% of the 91 people in the Singapore cluster contracted the infection from someone who was pre-symptomatic. Of the 135 people in the Tianjin cluster, between 62% and 77% caught it from someone was pre-symptomatic.
So a high percentage of people are able to transmit the disease without showing symptoms. Sometimes never showing symptoms.
Stay home.

Hi, I am in Central NY. There are no confirmed cases in my county "officially" as yet. Of course that is due to the vanity of very little testing going on. I am certain we have cases cooking here, just as everywhere.
Our county has announced that they will be closing schools in one week (so as to give people "time" to find daycare --for schools full of children and for meal delivery to be set up for those children who depend on them as well as the virtual education and distribution of tech to access them). They will be closed until April 15... (who knows, that may be extended).
On an astrological forum I frequently read for mundane astrology I found a helpful, interesting post of which I will paste below. I normally don't share stuff from there as I find much of it that is r/t Trump to be contaminated with confirmation bias. However, this really made me reread for a few times and motivated me to look up transits. So here it is and feel free to comment. To me it felt dire but also hopeful and seemed very realistic. It is by a man with the screen name "Circular Thinking" and he is relatively new to me.
'Astrologically, I like to keep things simple - there is currently a quadruple conjunction involving Mars/Jupitor/Saturn/Pluto which is immensely potent energy - all ruled by Saturn - which is about to shift into its other domain - Aquarius, the sign of distributed and collective authority and responsibility, as opposed to top-down, centralised authority. It is the 'CORONA' [= 'crown'] virus - the final erosion of the rotten structures of governance from the top - the toxic narcissism, shameless lying and corruption of Trump (who cut funding to the CDC, and in the early days of this pandemic prevented the CDC from informing the public about the outbreak, insisting they only report to the administration); as well as the utterly inept and incompetent management by a range of other leaders around the world. Pluto/Capricorn is cutting the rot from the top, ruthlessly, cleaning and disinfecting the fetid stink of corruption at the top of organisational structures.
I expect that as Saturn ingresses Aquarius, governance will move more and more to committees, made up of experts in the relevant fields, especially scientific experts - i.e. people who know what they are talking about and don't manipulate facts to suit their agenda ('fake news' and all that bullshit).
But most of all, each of us have to stop looking to a central up-top leader to tell us what to do, but rather educate ourselves, network, mutually support, and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the individual parts we play in keeping each other safe from this.
Yes, Neptune is still in Pisces, so there will remain a lot of delusional nonsense, silly fairy-tales and disinformation - but more importantly I see the influence of Neptune as symbolizing the 'tsunami' nature of this viral contagion - the shape of the event in time - the exponential nature of the numbers etc. - there is a massive wave sweeping over societies - it's coming and we will all be affected - some extremely badly, possibly fatally. There is also much long-term disability for some survivors of serious disease (lung fibrosis, which is essentially permanent reduction in lung function).
Batten down the hatches, don't panic, but wise up to what's happening and prepare yourself and your lived ones for the inundation.
As many wise Capricorn might say - GET REAL!!"
(would like to point out that Saturn doesn't power away into Aquarius until 1/2021). We, as a people will change but it is a process, it takes time and of course, these events will shape us. Not to forget, this is global- for Americans I think it will be seismic, being so used to these kinds of things happening "places more distant").
My intuition says if there is a decision made into changing the way we vote it may cause some confusion/glitches and there being some delay in the actual results. There is the possibility of some prematurity in declaring victory... but things should straighten out in the end. However, the elderly people manning the polling stations will not be seen as a good idea to continue during this time.
Just came across this interesting piece, thought I'd share:

@rowsella and all light working friends
Yesterday morning while half awake-sleep I saw this huge tsunami going across United States. It was like energy but a very high wave of it tearing across all states. It was the virus and what is about to hit us. I live in the middle of US and around me everyone is acting like no big deal for weeks. In the dream I just kept looking at everyone and yelling at them to wake up.
I live couple hours from Chicago O’Hare airport. Now seeing pics at the airport last night and the unbelievable lines of people all stuck together. Maybe the Ides of March? Trump stabbing everyone in the back making them rush home to complete chaos in the middle of a pandemic. Oh my is all I can say...
I'm not saying this to be judgmental in any way, shape or form, but as someone who has lived in Europe (Italy in fact), I would have elected to NOT rush home, knowing that the US is less prepared than most other countries (Of course this wouldn't apply in Italy, as it's on complete lockdown anyway), and knowing that medical care is better in most other countries too. I'm so sorry that Mango Mussolini just spouts so much bullshit all the time that people are not able to make informed decisions. It goes back to what I've been saying all along - this is malevolent incompetence, meaning it's all part of a bigger plan to have as many Americans in jail or dead as possible.

It's certainly difficult to ignore that it could be more than just terrible bungling.
Great quote my husband just shared with me:
Your grandparents were called to war.
You’re being called to sit on your couch.
You can do this.
It's been hard to estimate the effect of a basically incompetent president and incompetent administration in dealing with this crisis. Frankly, I don't think there are any smart people left in the administration and we are experiencing government by the D list. They resent the educated, they mistrust science and they are completely consumed with covering their own asses and the mammoth ass supposedly in charge. Malevolent? I don't know. At the very least, there is a basic disregard and indifference for the peoples' health and welfare. When I hear about concern for the cruise industry, the travel industry, and the hotels, the disconnect is crystal clear. I could puke. Sorry. I'm in a funk and will go clear my head and my mouth.
I'm in a suburb of the Bay Area. My partner works with the public but his store is owned by a major corporation that has vowed to keep paying its employees if they have to shudder their stores. (And I desperately hope that his store does shudder because he's exposed every single day he goes to work, and we live with my MIL who is mobility impaired and immune compromised.)
Lots of people aren't so lucky. I'm seeing reports in my various FB and Tumblr spaces from retail and food service workers that they have just been let go from their jobs with no warning. Many of them live on the margins as it is. Many of them do that work because few other options exist in the US. Basically if you're not able to telecommute, i.e. a privileged knowledge worker or a tech worker, and you're not employed by a major corporation that is stepping up, then good luck. This is the United States turning its back on a majority of its citizens. I cannot even imagine what the massive number of firings is going to result in for all of us.
If you're already making minimum wage then the firings hurt even *with* unemployment because you'll get even less. Some utility companies and internet companies are stepping up to help ease the burden. But the US is a sociopathic culture and a vast majority of middle class people and politicians... just don't care what happens to anyone else.
Maybe this, and the low local production in the US putting us at risk of shortages in times of crisis, will be a boost to bringing production back. We really need that. Our chickens are coming home to roost. This is what happens in a culture that shuns both production and a social safety net.
I am hoping that hospitals hire people. They will need transporters and clerks and food service people. Also the many urgent care centers may need counter people to check patients in. EMS needs drivers I bet. Even for those stores out there--they will need people to do deliveries. With schools closed, there is a big need for daycare. Even people who are working from home will need some help with their kids. It is almost impossible to concentrate with toddlers around for instance. There is a great app called NextDoor for neighborhoods and people can advertise. One college student in my neighborhood has and she has gotten more queries than she can handle (for daycare)--on lady asked if she could handle a 10 year old, a 2 year old and a puppy.
I agree @rowsella
I think if someone is young and healthy and can't go to their regular work (because it's closed or has cutback on staff), it would be good if health orgs in the community hired them on a temp basis to work the service jobs that support the health professionals. My only concern would be making sure they get trained in necessary infection control protocols.
I'm looking at you red states!
And Bluebelle to deetoo:
"I will keep you and yours in my meditations and prayers, too. Thank you for thinking of us."
DITTO to both of you and absolutely everyone here! ?
I know it's not just my family that's going through far more than COVID-19. But I will say sharing informational links and even humor has kept us going through so much the last few years!
Great posts it parallels so many of my husband and my experiences with the "red hat society" on his side of the family. The ones with fake colds, fake viruses and fake news fake news to both of us .??♀️
My husband has a phone chat with the closest bro every single night. He now says he can see why climate change might be a problem but he's not really sure about the rest of it yet. Slow strides to the finish line I guess!
I really like articke with all of its "sinusitis" germs parallels as it works its way into community viruses, COVID-19 and why we need to stay in, away, and flatten that curve!
Really said in simpler terms with easy to understand similation graphics of germs in communities.

@dee Well I guess the Senate is going to sign the 14 days paid leave bill. Great if you're Apple. What about small businesses who won't have anyone to work AND possibly no business BUT they have to pay employees?
