@matildagirl   D-S started out his governership seeming more or less sane and reasonable, but he's totally lost it in the last year or so.

Ambition I guess, he wants to be President and he thinks this is what Trump followers want and what's a few dead bodies here and there. They are old, poor, a drain on the budget. Two birds with one stone, what's not to like.

Possibly I am maligning him and being a bit cynical.

Regards to all

Nope.  I agree with you that he is doing it for power--- but I also think it is backfiring on him.

Received my Pfizer booster today.  I had a Rite Aid appointment set and they called me right before I left for work to let me know that they didn't have any Pfizer in stock and didn't know when they would.  I got on our district health department website and found a 9:30 a.m. appointment for today so I took the day off (I already had the afternoon from my night class earlier in the week) and got er' done.

So far just like my first and second Pfizer shots I'm feeling not much - a slight fatigue (the only thing I really had with the second dose) but that could just as easily be my fall allergies which are in overdrive right now.  Either way I got my groceries for the week and am in the house and in my Pajamas until Monday morning.  Light and love all!

@dannyboy

I am so happy for you!

You know, I feel like I did last spring. Celebrating each one of you as you report on getting your boosters.  I can't wait until I can get mine later this month.  I am looking forward to all the possibilities it provides. I embrace hope (and love, kindness, joy, compassion, light workers, gratitude and sound science).

@unk-p I have 3 former students working at this rite aid, two who were in my high school musicals.  They would have expected both the song AND the thong. ??

I will say my booster shot arrives on the news that an entire vein of my wife's extended family (unvaccinated, "Big Lie" believing, "Biden has Dementia" swearing, MAGA wardrobe owning) has tested positive for COVID-19 today.  My mother in law gives what we affectionately refer to as "the report" whenever anyone calls her but today she sent out a text thread to me, my wife, my brother in law and sister in law (both sets), to give the news.

I'm recognizing how terrible I am for making good on my promise from a few pages back in this text thread about not shedding or sparing any energy worrying about unvaccinated people in my life if they get it.  Losing the one friend this past summer in particular put me squarely in that position.  The best I can muster for them at this point, especially given how nasty they've been to us the last few years is a "Don't end up in the hospital".  I just don't understand how people can choose this particular hill to (potentially literally) die on.  I'd rather send that energy elsewhere.
