I thought the same thing. As a matter of fact, someone I follow elsewhere agreed and feels it will definitely be disrupted. Which would actually explain why we were all so unclear about the election.  One thing is though that I feel T will be gone. I think they are already in the process of going after his family to push him to leave. Ivanka, Jared etc. The information that comes out at the very end of March is going to explode in April. Additionally, the stock market falling is going to contribute to his downfall.

I have a feeling we may even have a "panel" of folks on both sides who will be in charge and I feel that Nancy is one of those people. I don't think what comes out only exposes T and that there will be others complicit eventually tied to it.

Thoughts on my feeling?

Incredible. I'd bet the organizers wouldn't even consider cancelling it. I can't imagine a more toxic thing to be doing right now.  Note,click on the 'view details' on the linked page to see the conference description.

This event ended 3 days ago.

Yes I noticed the date after posting but decided to leave it out there. It's an example of the cavalier attitude so many have.

Yep!  I don't believe labeling it changes anything, unless it does.  Perhaps with funding.  No clue really.

But you lose credibility when it takes this long to state the obvious.  I understand the term pandemic should only be used for the extreme cases but if not "this", when?  The "this" has been breathing fire for awhile now.

This pandemic will be studied for decades. When it was labeled will be one of the things written about I am sure.

A thought struck me a minute ago.  Perhaps WHO delayed labeling this a Pandemic because they are fearful countries and people will give up trying to control things if they believe it is out of control.  WHO is once again telling the world it is not too late to get it under control, to not give up.

We have already seen there are those in the everyday public who are fatalistic about catching this and are not taking proactive because" I am going to get it anyway".

and...as so many I know are saying "it's' no worse than the flu...the flu has killed more people and no one got in a panic about that" *sigh*  Fatalistic or Prudent or Oblivious seem to be the defining groups I encounter.

agreed - I follow a tarot reader who said the same thing. Wondering if we are talking about the same person.

In trying to look on the bright side, things seem to be so in flux and shifting so quickly that I am hoping things will look differently as November approaches.

I see your point.  China is actually getting it under control but only because they're an authoritarian state.  A free country like USA would have a difficult time getting the masses under control.  And even here in USA it's not like we have millions affected but WHO wants to prevent that from happening.

Just got back from having lunch out with my sister.  Our waiter spotted my hand sanitizer and put out his hands, so I shared.  Then he spontaneously remarked, “what’s with hoarding toilet paper?  I can’t find any anywhere" -- followed by "would you like to know our specials for today?"   Such is our new normal!

@tiger-n-owl, Good idea about a remote viewing for December 2020.  I don’t think I’m particularly adept at it, but many in this community have that skill.

@laura-f, I agree with not expecting a positive response from the Christian organizers.  Many of the attendees probably sincerely believe that because this is a religious conference, God will protect them.  That song from the band, The Police, just popped into my head: we are spirits in a material world.  While I believe that’s true, we were also given a brain, and are expected to use it.  Spirit doesn't want me to be blind, stupid or reckless with the decisions I make – especially if those decisions can potentially hurt other people.

Also, laura-f, thanks for reminding me about early/absentee voting (in VA).  I’d totally forgotten about that option.  Duh …

@triciact, about your feeling that

we may even have a "panel" of folks on both sides who will be in charge and I feel that Nancy is one of those people ...

  -- I totally agree.  In fact, didn’t some of us predict something like that?   Either later this year, or early next year?

well - I spoke to the woman going to the meeting.  It is in Knoxville.  She told me she plans on staying in the hotel.  Apparently it is a group from this larger group that just returned home from Israel and will be attending the conference .
management here is listening to my concerns but not committing to anything.  I am lucky in that I can just not come in without pay because my husband has sick leave and PTO.  I am concerned for the rest of the people here.

i feel like this is happening around the country as well.

my kids school district is preparing to go on-line.  We are scheduled to drive to SC tomorrow without visiting my MIL and compromised step daughter.
Ugh! hate to disappoint my son...

thanks to you all for listening and caring.  These are challenging times.

That's a charitable assessment. I think the WHO just didn't want to upset moneyed interests by labelling COVID-19 a pandemic early on. Kind of like how for decades, the IPCC watered down its climate change reports.

@ghandigirl

What I want to say is this...thank you for the medical and spiritual info.

I have to say this covid19 has pulled me out of a major depression.

Like other uncontrollable things it gives me a choice between fixating and deciding to live my new life wholeheartedly.

Oh Ghandigirl! This is the close I have come to wanting to cry with happiness in a very long time.

I have always believed that really good things tcome even as the result of really challenging things but this is a one of a kind new thing!

One of a kind just like you dear lady!  You hang on to this and keep it going.  Way to go with these new realizations put into action. ???

This is what we are facing in my sector..... People aren't getting tested...they do not know where they caught it from ..not being in the "known factors for exposure"  they are getting sent back home.. and... are exposing others. The misinformation... the attitudes.. *sigh* not good!

I love how many people in this country are in denial of this virus. They scram fake news or Democrats Hoax. People are not taking it to seriously. In Italy they had 200 deaths in 24hrs.  That’s a lot of deaths. I understand that they have a large population of older people but still it’s sad. I hope people in this country start waking up.    Not everyone who gets this will die, but let’s think about the older generation and or people with comprised immunity. This country is too much into the me mentality.

I've seen more well known remedies like thyme and elderberry discussed in this thread, but here are some less well known herbs that are great for dealing with respiratory illnesses:

  • Lomatium Dissectum: Traditionally used by Native Americans to treat respiratory illnesses.  There is evidence to suggest it helps ward off a cytokine storm in lung tissue: Lomatium Dissectum Inhibits CXCL10
  • Pleurisy Root: Also a Native medicine used internally as a remedy for lung infections and other problems, such as pleurisy and pneumonia.
  • Grindelia:  Another Native medicine used in herbal therapies to support the respiratory system and assist in the normal production and elimination of mucous. It also provides soothing support to the respiratory tract.
  • Wild Cherry Bark: A common ingredient found in cough syrups and is an effective remedy for respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, laryngitis, asthma, pertussis, colds, flu, and chronic lung congestion

Of the above four, I feel like Lomatium is the most important one for this illness.  Hope this helps.

From a friend just now who lives in Paris:

We are rumored to got to Nationwide code 3 lockdown tomorrow night.

She is pretty dialed in so it might be more than a rumor, though I expect there are plenty of rumors circulating. This would be something.

From someone who has followed  this pandemic from the early stages, my mind is still blown that Italy has done just that and France may be next.

An excellent Newsweek Op-Ed from a different doctor in Italy:

Young and Unafraid of Coronavirus? Good for you, now stop killing people.

I'm waiting to hear confirmation from my primary doc, it looks like I will have to bow out of no less than 4 creative performing projects that take place in April and May.

@frank

and your post made me remember mullein. Mullein tea is good for lung congestion and has some anti-viral anti bacterial properties as well.  https://www.rxlist.com/mullein/supplements.htm

You can find it at Vitacost, Amazon and other online stores.

@lovendures  Friends we have who are visiting Israel told us today that the country is going to require that anyone who visits must be quarantined for two weeks when they first get there. I confirmed it here.

Airlines in Europe have been keeping their flight schedules so they don't lose their flight slots and the result has been a lot of ghost flights. So now the EU is letting airlines suspend flights that are mainly empty.
