@enkasongwriter. It is a tricky issue. When I think about your question, I see the federal government working at cross purposes with the public's health. So Covid is a moving target that jerks back and forth. There is no unified effort. Those working on the front lines and the governors of states who are using science to work through this virus are doing what is necessary. But Donald Trump and his followers including some of his governors are working at cross purposes with what is necessary to contain the virus. So we get a zig zag movement of progress, back sliding, and it is hard to predict how soon it will settle down. We have to learn as a culture that the thinking and forces that Donald Trump and his enablers represent are toxic for us, even deadly. When enough people learn that, we will begin to work towards the public welfare, rather than the riches of a few. Overall, many people, not all, but many will be moving more out of the cities to more space and land, so no matter how it goes, they will be able to breathe freely and safely.
It is as if you are asking me when a patient will recover from an illness when the patient just gets up and starts partying.
But eventually, probably next year, we will be out of the pandemic danger.
Consider that what is happening is showing itself to be necessary for our people to let go of an old paradigm and move towards a more beautiful world.
That moment when you read that your Governor/State Department of Health just put a stop on a team of university experts working on COVID-19 modeling. Apparently the joint university modeling project showed the only way to have a good outcome on re-opening the state was waiting until at least the end of May. This was after 5 different models were used with different timeframes.
The modeling team of about two dozen professors at Arizona State University and the University of Arizona was compiling the most robust public model in Arizona of COVID-19. Now they can't have any state data to work with. The new model the state of Arizona is now relying upon is from FEMA and is not being released to the public. So, no transparency. Of course why should that even be a thing?

As some of you may know, yesterday as the Mad King toured that Honeywell factory in AZ, which is producing N95 masks for the federal government, he and other officials wore safety glasses but did not wear masks.
At one point in the tour, as T was attempting to talk to one of the factory workers, you could barely hear him as the Guns N’ Roses’ cover of the James Bond theme song “Live and Let Die” blasted in the background.
You can’t make this stuff up. I don’t find that to be a coincidence, do you?

Now that blue states like New York and California are falling from the peak, I think that the red states will be the second wave in the coming months. Someone on another forum posted that the southern states will be worst than the blue states. I feel that COVID-19 will be Trump's demise.

About the valet testing positive: it wouldn't surprise me if T insisted that no one working in the WH wear masks around him. When I first heard about it this morning, the visions that @baba posted on 5/6 under "The Great Unraveling...Great Turning.." thread immediately came to mind. I don't know why, but I got this cold chill. Almost like some sort of floodgate is opening up at the WH.
I feel very sorry for the regular WH staff -- butlers, maids, ushers, valets, etc. -- who have worked there the past 3-1/2 years. Can you imagine going from Obama to this Mad King?
