Honestly I feel I am becoming immune to all his stupidity.  This circus just goes on and on.

@yogagirl,

Imbleachment.  I love it.

This morning someone referred to T's daily briefings as "Open Mic Night."

And Joe Scarborough said this about the Mad King's insane medical ramblings:  "The President was talking about things that you actually would expect to see from Dr. Nick on 'The Simpsons.'  It would be funny if it weren’t so tragic."

On another topic:  yogagirl, what are Kentuckians saying about Mitch's vile statements about not wanting to financially help New York?

It gets curiouser and curiouser ...

We have all probably heard about the big cats, some of the tigers and lions at the Bronx Zoo testing positive for CV-19, but now there are reports of two domestic cats in NY that have tested positive as well ...!?!!

Before we donate our beloved little fur babies to NASA for a space shot or lock them out of the house, the acclaimed Dr. Anthony Fauci has definitely stated that it is not possible for the virus to be transmitted from animal to human.

He suggested that if you are a CV-19 + human, to wear a mask around your pet and not to handle him/her alot .... be kind to felines!

This new weird development begs the question : WTH? do cats and bats have in common that makes them susceptible to human viruses? ??

Interesting article in the Guardian today :  "Coronavirus has been detected on particles of air pollution by scientists investigating whether this could enable it to be carried over longer distances and increase the number of people infected." "

The Italian scientists used standard techniques to collect outdoor air pollution samples at one urban and one industrial site in Bergamo province and identified a gene highly specific to Covid-19 in multiple samples. The detection was confirmed by blind testing at an independent laboratory.

Leonardo Setti at the University of Bologna in Italy, who led the work, said it was important to investigate if the virus could be carried more widely by air pollution."

Read the entire article here: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/apr/24/coronavirus-detected-particles-air-pollution

It would explain a lot wouldn't it.

It's not a virus that originated in humans. Most viruses originate in animals, and many others are literally in the environment - dirt, etc. (e.g., Marburg). SARS-CoV-2 (COVID19) originated in bats, and crossed over into humans either from the bats or through another animal first (e.g., pangolin). Viruses that cross from animals to humans are able to cross back into the same or other animals.

My source for this level of info is the book The Hot Zone, I think from 20 years ago, but some facts don't change.

Why I'm getting the feeling that mother nature is responsible for engineering this virus in such a way that most of the things that we deal with everyday is twisted into a vicious irony of nightmares? If that study was accepted by the wider scientist community, then it's a horrible realisation that she just weaponised air pollution with the virus!

@goldstone Thru the ages viruses and infection have vectors from ranging from water to animals to insects and humans ....carried on and in the environment...the difference here I feel? Is that man hastened the process to spread wider and faster through pollution of our environment and we are the creators of our own destruction.

True, I think the biggest factor of why we're in this situation we're in today is the collective human mass of hubris that has been growing over centuries. That most people outside of this community thinks that humanity can control their own destiny and they are untouchable, which explains why some awful people commited such acts because they thought they can get away with it.

The virus instead exposes the fragility of our nature and how we're not so special in this blue planet.
