@jovesta oh my, I feel you! I have been extra grumpy & sensitive for the past two days. My back was spasming from the stress. Everything I touched - I screwed up because I was so out of sorts. Around 3pm I gave up, meditated for awhile & fell asleep for about 2 hours with my dog. Woke up & the world was not solved- at least I felt a bit more grounded. This pandemic is such a sad hard marathon.
That is the least whiney rate I have ever heard. What a lucky daughter you have and yes, we do understand. Sounds like you need a bit of self care and your daughter gets a good night of sleep
Hope tomorrow is more peaceful for you.
@jovesta I feel you, I know how hard this time is especially when you have small children. I’m so relieved mine as just about grown. You are good. But dear @jovesta please let me teach you how to really get a good whine and/or rant going. It’s quite a good way to purge, at least for me. Peace and be well.
12,000 mink have died from Covid-19 on farms in Utah and Wisconsin.
First of all, I didn't even know that we had mink farms in the US. Who even buys mink fur anything nowadays? I'm really sad to hear we have mink farms. WE HAVE MINK FARMS!!!!! UGH!
Secondly, 12,000 mink caught covid? Good Grief! That is a huge number. How many mink are on these farms for goodness sakes?
Thirdly, Didn't everybody see Ghostbusters when the fur coats turned into real animal spirits?????
Fourth of all, we can make fake fur anything now...why do we need to buy mink fur...anything???
Fifth d*$m point. I had to stupidly go and read about the idiotic mink farm industry. Mink oil? Seriously? That is a thing, for polishing leather boots? So we kill cows and make boots out of them and then we kill mink and use their oil to grease our cow boots? And this oil doesn't even last long before making the leather hard??
This is one industry I hope goes bankrupt from Covid-19. Revenge of the mink.
I apparently posted this in the pets thread (brain malfunction, I guess). It belongs here in this thread, so here it is. @jeanne-mayell, if you would be so kind as to delete it from the pets forum? Thank you. :-)
Hallucinations Seen as Another Troubling COVID-19 Symptom
Of course...how do we tell if it's a Covid hallucination or just the normal workings of the Orange One's mind? ?
(This is not meant to treat this actually very serious issue lightly, but sometimes the jokes write themselves...)
@lovendures I feel like same way. There was an incident back in April in the Netherlands where the farm culled 10k minks. It’s heart breaking to say the least.
share the love and light
Thank you, guys! I slept in and woke up with cold symptoms. I love how my body predicts this stuff. It's like my spirit senses something coming and throws my mental balance off to get my attention. I can feel the fever getting ready to hit. My empath abilities come in handy sometimes!
I am isolating so that my kids can go to school. Dad just has to be Dad! No hiding today! He is making fun of my hypercaution saying, oh no Mommy has the Wuhan Red Death... I don't think I do. I had it in March.
Oh dear!
I am glad you are cautious. Be careful! You might want to get tested just in case since some are able to get it again. Hopefully you feel better quickly.
Yes, he needs to be dad for sure.
Thanks! I want to see if it hangs on tomorrow. Sometimes I get 24 hour bugs... with covid blurring up our vision of our normal patterns, I am trying not to forget that we still can just get a little bug. If it hangs on, absolutely I will talk to my doctor. But the good thing is that I have personal experience to draw from and this does not feel the same. But I will be isolating and being careful no matter what.

I know many of us have friends and family who are Orange nightmare supporters. I personally don't have my own facebook page, but if I did I would post this article in the Washington Post.
I didn't know where to post this... Covid or The great unraveling. I read this story today of Tony Green, a man who is gay, has a partner and they live in Dallas area of Texas, conservative and voted for Trump. Tony's father in law was his best friend. This is tragic and sad, but he is trying to tell his story so others don't make the same mistake. He called the virus a "scamdemic". This story will stay with me forever. I feel compassion for all the people who have had to learn how real the pandemic truly is and how the Orange nightmare has fooled them.
@lovendures and @jeannemayell
Yes, it was so heartbreaking to me too. I will put him in my prayers and healing tomorrow during the meditation and otherwise.
I still haven't been able to attend a meditation session. However, I would like to ask for your prayers for a dear friend of mine who died yesterday from Covid-19. He was a Honduran doctor who served on my team at our medical clinic in Honduras. Eduardo was in his early 30's - just starting out. He loved his people and served them so well, and helped us immensely with setting up medical referrals to specialists in Honduras that otherwise would never have happened. I, and many, will miss him forever.
As of a few months ago, Honduras only had 20 ventilators for the entire country. So much sadness. What a world we live in.
