i know you guys are just getting started on Jan predictions. I see several double entries. Maybe they are a result of cut and paste
@tybin I've posted more predictions today to add to a large group of randomly shared predictions made by our team during early January, plus whole year by month predictions by Baba, Dannyboy, and me.
We should have the whole Team's predictions by the end of January -- Bluebelle, CC21, Lovendures, Tonya, Teri, Andrew Posey, Andy, Baba, Dannyboy, Seaholly, Caroline, SeaLion, Earthangel.
Looking like the U.S. is on the edge of something major.
Thanks for catching that repetition error. Have corrected it.
@lynn, weaker is relative. If power exists in a certain lens, I will take the white male lens because, well, white male. Do I have more power or less power if I take that and share it without reservation? One theory says don't share it, or you will lose that power, but I think sharing that power actually gives more power. Just in a profoundly different way. One is based on control, and one is based on legitimacy and influence. One requires a zero-sum game; the other does not. Our best moments always tend toward not embracing the zero-sum game. Right now, I would say the US ( gov't ) has embraced the zero-sum game to such a degree as to undermine itself. The world as it is today. Looking forward, it may look bleak, but I suggest if the lens is changed, or maybe thinking back 20 years from now, maybe it's not so much the US will be weaker, just its power metric shifted.
In the end, power is neither there to be given or taken from anyone; we just are. I find power these days either comes from respect or adulation. When everyone arrives at that point, then a better world will be well underway.
The funniest prediction of the night: Vance seems rather surprised that people don’t like him (Baba)

I hope so. We need change more now than ever.
@carmen The blatant execution of Alex Pretti today? Minneapolis shooting: Tim Walz condemns ‘federal occupation’ as victim identified as Alex Pretti – latest updates
I think this is a turning point.
Getting a vision of a vast forest at night. Stumbling in the dark, trying to find a way out. And then I see an opening between the trees, with blinding light spilling out. Then I opened my eyes and I could see. Kinda feels like we are at the stumbling in the dark part right now.
@journeywithme2 Alex Pretti was an Intensive Care Unit nurse at the Veterans Administration hospital. As such, he most definitely was a tax-payer. And some of the taxes that he paid were actually used to murder him. For disagreeing.
How very north korean
In our January predictions, February was described as a turning point, and it cannot come soon enough.
The young man who was killed was the same age as my son, who is also a nurse caring for the sickest patients. Nurses always want to help others, as is the case with my son. According to Heather Cox Richardson—who is meticulous in her research—Pretti’s ordeal began when he tried to help a woman who had been knocked down by Border Patrol agents. (what are border patrol agents, the most brutal of the worst, doing in Minneapolis?) He was then sprayed in the face with pepper spray, leaving him struggling to see. As he tried to recover, multiple agents jumped on him. He fought to keep his head up while being beaten, and then nine—no, ten—shots were fired into him. Afterward, the agents scattered, as if trying to escape the reality of what they had just done to an innocent man. The woman closest to the event (the one dressed in bright pink) began screaming, no no no no, and then just screamed in agony.
We are beyond sick. Exhausted. Heartbroken. This truly feels like a turning point, though one that comes at an unbearable cost.
I am praying for this young man's soul, and for everyone who loved him. I have never seen anything as horrific as what I saw today. I urge people to read Heather Cox Richardson’s account—and to spare yourselves the videos. https://youtu.be/2501T81PR38?si=Tt608oA--NbrJ5wZ. (HCR: What we Know so far)
May angels accompany his soul and bring comfort to his family. May he be remembered, honored, and never forgotten.
