...a thin attempt to distract from Epstein, garner “sympathy” as an aging guy with a health condition.

Given that he's always lied about his health situation in the past, it's unlikely that he's spontaneously turned over a new leaf in that regard. I believe that the Epstein issue is causing far more damage than is being let on, and with all of the very public MAGAt defections/hat burnings in the last few days, the puppet masters who control him are getting antsy about further progress/support for their ongoing agenda. I suspect this is a way to begin the process of transitioning him out of office within the next six months, with the hope of preventing anything from actually being made public.

However, I also think the lists and other evidence will still be leaked/exposed, and if the Orange One were to be removed and Vance installed, his first order of business would likely be to issue a pardon to the Orange One so no actual investigation could/would be done. That would still not protect the other high-placed people from prosecution, although the DOJ could stonewall or slow-walk any investigations to "favored" supporters.

@cc21 The more pressure that is on him I feel his health, both mental and physical declines at a rapid rate. It is going to become so evident that they cannot hide it anymore.

There is a tradition of lying extremely effectively about the running president's health status going back to Cleveland in the 19th century. For example, Wilson was one who lied particularly effectively to the public about his health. After probably suffering several strokes and others vascular events, he was actually unfit for office from day one - yet he led the USA into and through the First World War. However, of course it was not only the president lying about his health as he maybe was much too ill but it has been always an extremely effectively working team around the US president. Which possible serious health status could there be for any US president to end his presidency before it is supposed to be over? I cannot imagine even one health status except for death.

@joy Unless he's taken down by his own inner circle. I wouldn't put it past them to use his health issues to do that, either directly or through leaks or other ways of destroying him. He's served his purpose at this point, and he's diminishing before our eyes. Don't think the sharks that surround him don't see that.

@lynn That's a really interesting and valuable answer for me. Thank you so much! I understand it much better now. I think your answer explains why declining MAGA support is extremely relevant, even from the perspective of other countries media. In the past, the support team always remained loyal to previous presidents who faced serious health challenges, like Ronald Reagan. Therefore, the key question here might not be whether the current support team will be able to hide serious health issues, but whether they will remain determined to do so.

Frankly, I am more concerned with the ethical shakiness of the Supreme Court.

Anyone else feeling frustrated and impatient for positive change?

In keeping with the title of this thread this prediction is completely and utterly random. I was standing on the patio last night, and as I turned to go into the house, the state of Texas popped into my head and the word "bankruptcy" immediately attached itself to it. I then heard the full sentence "Texas will declare bankruptcy" in my head.

I have no idea if it's even possible for a state to declare bankruptcy or if it would be allowed if they tried, but there it is. 🙃 I also don't know if it may just be the thought that the administration in Texas is morally bankrupt, but when that sentence popped into my mind, it was definitely the financial meaning.

@jeanne-mayell I watched this video on YT. It was very interesting and a testament to those in our society who remain forward thinking. I also noticed that many of the examples they gave were from Canada. One other thing... The music from the string quartet perfectly exemplified the idea of working together effectively interdependently,(not to mention it was absolutely beautiful.) I subscribed to the YT channel as I expect they will post more updates on the groups highlighted. Thanks for sharing!!

@osyn1 To me it feels like something has already shifted, but it’s not as solid as I hoped.  Glad I am not alone.
