Regarding legislation coming out of the post-shutdown Congress, I hear lots of “They did WHAT?” (DannyBoy)
I immediately thought of this when I read your prediction. Probably because that was exactly what I said when I heard about it!

The renown historian Heather Cox Richardson (HCR) subdues worries about redaction. There are many copies, not just the ones actually handled by the FBI. Basically, she says the videos and paper trails are not only international but have the kind of trackability historians utilize -- and that works in real time as well.
Her blog post is here: https://youtu.be/A8ECpStaspE?si=qXizJo9ytg_Jigji
At this point, the public will never stand for a coverup.
HCR's points about world politics in the 19th and 20th centuries, being impossible to reinstate in the 21st century, makes much sense. We may have some very bumpy and even horrendous times ahead, but T and the dark have lost, ultimately.
We are the transition era, as painful as that is, the Energy of politics is not with the dark. The Energy of world politics has built exponentially to the Light. I'm not saying the horror is over. I AM saying don't give your energy away. The reality is what it is. Never hide from it, but please, imbue your energy with trust rather than defeat. Yes, the redactions have certainly occurred, so instead of plumping that energy, deflate it with thoughts of--there's plenty of unredacted stuff that WILL be found and leaked or just outright seen. If a dark prince can be de-princed, so too can a dark pres.
We are the Light.
@tesseract, thank you for this link and for your wise words. I love HCR. She's brilliant. She always clarifies things and calms me.
I know we're entering the Great Awakening, but for the past week I've been hearing "the Great Unraveling." (One of my spiritual guides often displays her cheeky sense of humor as she's communicating a truth to me.)
If anything, this administration has revealed the government's weaknesses, as well as our own. But also, if we allow it, our individual and collective strengths. In the midst of all of this, I have remained hopeful. I've always felt this was not the end of the story.
This is a Great Awakening in more ways than we can possibly imagine. Very painful at times, but ultimately, transformational.
I found Heather Cox Richardson's info on Epstein tape redaction reliable & assuring. Thank you @Tesseract, for posting. HCR does her homework on everything she posts. I trust her.
When I read your question, the children's book Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day came to mind. Just change the name Alexander to Trump and change the word Day to Month.
Whatever he is plotting with regard to the Epstein files, but it isn't going the way he envisioned and it will ultimately not go well for him.
This month is not a good month for him. I think that there will be many terrible horrible no good very bad days ahead as well.
@journeywithme2 Yes, and it fits the loneliness I got when I read her after her first outburst. She has no alliances in the House, and would have to work very hard to win reelection. Although she actually could win if she didn't quit and had enough of her own money left. She represents the breakaway from Trump that we've been expecting and hoping for, the people who believed his campaign lies that he'd help the common American. It's too bad she's leaving, unless of course, she is replaced by a good democrat, which would be good.
Her stated reasons for quitting are left wing politics, i.e., concern for the poor who don't have enough to buy food or healthcare and middle class who don't have enough to afford healthcare and a home. But the rest of her politics are so far right that I had to turn her off as she spoke. She just spouts right wing policies and truly does not seem to understand what she is advocating or how it contradicts her more left polices.
@jeanne-mayell I saw some speculation (unfounded, of course) that she may be trying to prepare for a Presidential run or, failing that, to be chosen as a running mate for someone else. I don't think she will do either, but it won't matter anyway.
She's got plans. I don't know if they involve higher office, or some sort of podcast or money-making venture, but I think she wants to be the leader of a "true MAGA" movement. T has betrayed MAGA in her eyes (not that WE ever thought he cared about his followers) and she wants to be the new leader.
@jeanne-mayell And cagily enough, she is quitting exactly one day after her congressional pension becomes fully vested. There are some good Democrats running against her. The skinny around town (Rome,Ga) from MAGA's now trash talking her are not good. You are correct ...she has very few supporters and alliances anymore. She may lay low.... but she is a person who constantly reinvents herself... and is already busy planning her next moves I am sure.
But the rest of her politics are so far right that I had to turn her off as she spoke.
Me too, Jeanne.
Here's what AOC had to say about the "retirement" of MTG:
“She’s carefully timing her departure just 1-2 days after her pension kicks in and after making millions of dollars insider trading stocks for weapons manufacturers and others while in office.
She is saying a lot but her ACTIONS have not backed up the rhetoric.
For all her talk, she’s STILL voting with them to gut healthcare and advance self-dealing corruption schemes.”
