Britney Spears will be in the news.
I just happened to think of her and all that she has been through today and am sending her light and protection.
@baba I have also had her on my mind, but hadn't thought it through until you mentioned her name. Something must be about to happen. Thank you.
Her odious ex-husband released a memoir disparaging her. Hopefully it won't get any worse for her. She seems to be someone whose entire family has taken advantage of. Very sad.
@lynn I respectfully disagree with you. I had a sister with bipolar, it is horrendous, so I suspect he is telling his truth. He has been maligned for a long time and waited a long time to speak out. I love Brittany but I think he is telling the truth about being scared for her now, I am too. His fears for her and his children are real. I pray for her.
I am not sure if anyone has talked about this as I haven’t had much time to be on the forum lately, but several years ago there was discussion that a blonde woman would take down Agent Orange. Do we think Virginia Giuffre could be the blond woman with her book release? The snippets I’m seeing are horrific.
I am not getting anything regarding the blonde woman, but I find this interesting:

@anya I don't do Apple News for many reasons, but I do get the Atlantic, so please tell us what the title of the story, what magazine it is from and who wrote it. I think you are posting an Atlantic article, but which one? Or perhaps, @kateinpdx or @freya can tell us?
@spirit20 I believe @anya is referring to the following article which is not a direct reference to a prediction of a blonde woman; but is an interesting twist on the consequences of fish lips’ thoughtless actions.
MOSCOW IS PLANNING TO CREATE ITS OWN USAID
As a Ukrainian, I’ve seen firsthand how Russia has learned to emulate American soft power for authoritarian ends.
OCTOBER 22, 2025
For decades , USAID was one of the greatest tools America had to promote democratic values in Russia. The agency extended humanitarian assistance while fostering political reform, and in doing so endeared the United States to Russians even as it undercut the Kremlin’s authoritarian ambitions. It was a supreme example of soft power: working “through attraction and persuasion rather than coercion,” as the political scientist Joseph S. Nye Jr. defined the term. Then, in 2012, the Kremlin expelled USAID, a decision that seemed to confirm just how effective it had been.
So effective, in fact, that Moscow has now decided to create its own version. The Trump administration shut down USAID on July 1; one week later, a Russian-government official revealed that the regime planned to establish a development agency modeled on the one Washington had just dismantled...”
I don't know what effect 'the blonde woman' will eventually have on T, but she sure knocked the 'Royal' out of Prince Andrew, who is no longer welcome for Christmas Dinner at the Palace, and may be losing his royal digs as well due to "Nobody's Girl", Virginia Guiffre, who has wielded more power postumously against the princes, politicians and businessmen who abused her than they ever would have imagined.
In the last few days my spouse who has a wicked spidey sense and a psychic classmate of mine have both said something is coming and to stock up on food, toilet paper, medicine, etc.
Neither could pinpoint what they think it is, but my classmate said it could be a bad wave of covid (so grab your masks too if you are so inclined).
To be fair, you don't have to be psychic to say that right now! But, my spouse doesn't usually say something like that out of the blue, but has been right every time she has.
@kateinpdx I have been seeing a call for a general strike in the country, and if that happens, I can only imagine the retaliation. Maybe this is what your spouse is sensing. I will plan accordingly as well.
@kateinpdx between the federal employees out of work, the SNAP being held back, military people (here in Ga. Reported their checks shorted by hundreds) not getting fully paid, the change of seasons and higher utility bills and groceries and people getting sick with flu /covid/RSV/Noro virus and food borne illnesses... it is prudent to stock up where we can and hunker down. Help each other every chance we get. Keep sending out Light and Love.
Random Prediction on tariff-related Inflation
Back in January, when Trump was threatening massive broad-based tariffs, I predicted an unprecedented surge in inflation. But for six months or so, I haven't been feeling those extreme inflation concerns, at least not for say, end of 2025 and early 2026. I noticed for example that I wasn't worried that we couldn't buy some new appliances we've needed later this year. A few months ago, the media was saying to hurry up and get what you need before the prices shoot up. I didn't hurry. So I thought about why I didn't hurry this morning, and realized, I'm not feeling bad tariff-related inflation any more.
That said, I’m not saying inflation is going away. I can already feel it in food and restaurant prices. Some retailers, like Walmart, have raised prices in anticipation of higher costs. If you’re looking to save, it might be worth shopping around — for example, stores like Home Depot haven’t increased prices across the board the way Walmart has, and there are huge differences in prices because of that.
Insurance, however, is a different story. Home and health insurance premiums have jumped significantly.
On the Shutdown:
@tgraf66 — your post on the shutdown was excellent! You never cease to amaze me with your knowledge.
Before reading about it, I threw cards. It’s a complex situation, and instead of one clear answer, I saw multiple timelines. Predicting the future is harder now with such erratic energy in charge. Trump’s fear-driven tactics cloud the picture.
My reading suggests the shutdown will last much longer, becoming the longest in U.S. history within days, and going up to Thanksgiving. The cards show several scenarios—around 20 more days or even longer. The longer it continues, the worse it is for Trump. A short shutdown wouldn’t hurt him much, but if it stretches to 34 days or beyond, it becomes a lose-lose situation.
If he doesn’t end it soon, he’ll lose followers who depend on jobs and benefits. If it drags into December or January, it will damage the GOP’s midterm chances and his standing with the base.
Right now, Trump appears firm and in control, but he’s inwardly anxious. He’s trying to force Democrats’ hands, but they hold the advantage if they stand firm, and they should stand firm. He can blame them all he wants, but most know he and the GOP control the budget. Johnson seems like a soldier following orders rather than making decisions.
My cards point to something breaking in about 20 days. That length won’t hurt the economy or GOP much, but it will only end if Trump yields—a defeat for him. I hope Democrats don’t back down.
It could also go longer; if it reaches January, the damage to the GOP deepens. I’d love to hear others’ insights—and if the shutdown continues another week, I’ll ask the Read the Future group to weigh in.
@bluebelle @tonyaW @seaholly @lovendures @Andy @higgimic1020gmail-com @tgraf66,
@jeanne-mayell Thanks Jeanne! Yes I have this sinking feeling that they will keep dragging it out way longer than expected or that makes any logical sense. (I was watching something that showed how Epstein would often blackmail almost everyone and that is how he got a lot of money from people. I kind of think Trump blackmails half the GOP too. Besides just scaring them with primaries, I bet be blackmails, with the full force of the US Government and intelligence agencies to do so. Just my opinion though.) I really appreciate everyone's input and feedback!
@jeanne-mayell P.s. It is definitely a lose-lose for him. It may be the only way for some of his base to wake up though. I also hope the dems do not back down.
@higgimic1020gmail-com Very interesting you are thinking that, because I was telling my husband today that I felt Epstein made money blackmailing people while pretending he was this financial genius. I have no doubt he was good at finance, but it was the blackmail that kept wealthy people in his orbit. The fact that you are bringing up this topic when I was just talking about it today probably means that something is coming out soon about it.
As for political blackmail, we observed that in the last administration when he successfully primaried those who opposed him.
It is interesting that MTG has been opposing some of his policies, although carefully never mentioning his name.
