This not a hit but an encouragement. We just back from New Orleans and the vibe was so potent. Everyone was friendly and nice. Even the homeless people were nice. One thing that really bothered me was not only the homeless, but it was also the homeless that looked like tourists dragging their suitcases. They were clean and well groomed. Gave money where we could, especially the ones with dogs. Is this who we are as a nation? 35000 people at the Superdome waiting to be picked up only to stay for days when the roof pulled off and the levies broke. No water, no food. The homeless. so, but the grace goes I. The WWII Museum and the film they had on the Japanese interment was just like today. One of the people said they looked back at their house, and neighbors were taking their furniture out. The internment camps were at least better than we are subjecting people to now. Same thing, people are being taken and losing everything they own. Yet we have a government trying to whitewash history. My father flew 37 missions over Italy in WWII. His tail gunner was killed by shrapnel. The history needs to be taught. My father deserves that. The resilience of the big easy is what we all need. Sorry, this is so long, being an empath I felt so much there. Working for 20 years in downtown Atlanta I got to know the homeless. Each one had a story, each one wanted to be recognized, and each one was special Society failed them.
