The United States will be booed at the Winter Olympics in Italy. (Bluebelle) Random Prediction made 1/30/26.

Not sure how this comment will land, but I want to say it: As you know many of the 2025 and 26 prediction hits describe America moving through a dark and painful period, and while I go through unspeakable grief each time another dark event happens, this Olympic booing event makes me want to say something.
I love America deeply. I love this country the way one loves a mother—imperfect, formative, and profoundly one’s own. Every time I return from another country, my heart swells with love for this land and its people. That love is why this moment at the Olympics is so personal.
Our athletes work extraordinarily hard and compete with dedication and integrity. Any booing reflects global anger toward political leadership, not toward the American people or the athletes themselves. I do not blame those in Italy who reacted—I grieve what led them to feel that way. Those Americans who made most of the predictions, including the predictor of this particular event, love this country deeply as well.
I was disappointed that NBC muted the booing for American viewers. I want Americans to see and hear these moments as they are happening (not via social media where people will claim it was fake)—not to shame us, but because honest witnessing can be a wake-up call. Shielding us from how our country is currently perceived only delays the reckoning that meaningful change requires.
In spite of NBC's decision, these painful moments are bringing what has long been hidden into the open. In that exposure, something necessary is happening. America has faced reckonings before, and each time it has eventually found its way back to its deeper values. I hold faith not in those in power now, but in the conscience of the people and in what this country is still capable of becoming.
I am not sure what this is about? Only that I have a growing conviction that March 13th 2026 is going to be a significant date in America. Something important will occur.
@jeanne-mayell Totally agree.
The world is booing us and also rooting for us. They're booing us BECAUSE they're rooting for us. And we need both right now.
@lynn thank you, I love your perspective.

I love that, Lynn. It's so true.
@jeanne-mayell Got it. I'd heard that too. In any event, I still think the world is rooting for us, and folks understand the difference between us and the current regime. And frankly, a little self-reflection on our part isn't a bad thing, so if there's some booing at some point ahead, we kind of have it coming, lol.

You are not alone in your feelings: @baba made a prediction last month that something big will happen on March 13. It was posted in the latest predictions for March. Then another prediction, perhaps (correct me if wrong) I think it was @bluebelle who wrote that the Ides of March (March 15) would be a date to watch. Of course, the Ides of March has become a symbol of betrayal when in the year 44 BC, a group of Roman Senators turned and killed their colleague Julius Caesar because he had declared himself Emperor which meant the end of the Roman democracy. So perhaps these dates are about a betrayal.
