Newsom got a near super majority, about 64-36, so it was definitely not "too close to call." But it did "end with yes."
I was feeling discouraged the day I got this prediction (early October) which is probably why at first I wrote down "too close to call" but then after a minute, I got "ends with a yes." I admit that earlier in the month when feeling people not liking Newsom, I didn't think it would pass. But I have always liked him.
So in the end, Newsom's popularity has skyrocketed. He is an American hero. And the money he's raised is so great that they are going to be able to help other states do the same thing. He did it even with so much opposition, including the iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger publicly saying it was a terrible idea. Now media are saying Newsom's plan brings hope for beating back authoritarianism.
