@parizienne

It is great all three of you were able to tackle the house together. I am sure that made you feel much better.  I always feel better when I make needed progress in my house.  That stuff can start to wear on you as it piles up.  I am 3/4's finished with cleaning out our office.  It has been a problem for some time now.

You have had a great deal on you plate so if I may, tell your son it is time for him to step it up a bit and take some of the burden off you (assuming he is able to help of course).  Have him be responsible for cleaning and doing dishes or cooking part of the meals.  Think of it as a time for him to further develop life skills.  Challenge him to plan a meal, buy the ingredients, cook the meal and make sure her doesn't leave the kitchen a disaster. He will appreciate it late and in the mean time it will unknowingly give him more of a sense of purpose while at home.   Re-introduce him to all the appliances and make sure her uses them.  Including the iron and vacuum cleaner. A guy who is able to cook, clean, do laundry and clean the bathroom is a keeper.

You may have already been doing this of course, but if you are carrying a bigger burden with work (even if you weren't) , having him share more home 'chores"  and developing some more skills as well will benefit everyone.  Right?

@charmandernat. The doctors cannot hold him there. He wants to get back to campaigning.

@lovendures Great suggestions, all. Yes. We are working on these things. He suffers from depression which has intensified due to the pandemic and not working. He is a tender soul, and he wants to do his part more than he has since the pandemic began.

I suffered from post-partum depression after he was born and didn’t know what hit me. I learned staying at home all day was making it worse. I went back to school and earned my teaching credential and started working again plus therapy and some medication helped me tremendously over time. I think he may be wired similarly.

He’s just had his medication changed, so that should help, too, until he gets back to work for sure.

@dannyboy You may be on to something with Pence. I think he and Mother (Mrs. Pence) we’re seated right in front of Senator “the hugger” Mike Lee (Ut). Bill Barr and Tiffany Trump were next to the Pences.

There is a rumor circulating on Twitter that Rudy Giuliani was bragging about not catching it while McEnany and Barr and someone else whose name I forget did catch it. There are stories refuting this all over stating that Barr has tested negative for four days. I guess time will tell.

Pence already tested positive for covid once before, didn’t he?

@parizienne

What a blessing to have him stay at home with you both during the pandemic and not alone by himself.  You don't need to worry about him being on his own and wondering about his state of mind. He can navigate this tricky time with your guidance, how fortunate for everyone.I hope his medicine change will be beneficial.

Nobody said being a mom in a pandemic is easy did they? Nor being a teacher.

I hope now that school has been underway for a little bit, you will find some time to breathe.  I bet your students love having you as a teacher. Something tells me you are tuned into them and care a whole bunch about their needs.

Best of luck for the school year, with your class and at home.

Hi I'm new here.

My intuition about the covid19 virus hit me with urgency as soon as I saw it hit China in Januray this year.

Being that I have health problems myself, as well as other family members, I decided to follow this deep sense of urgency to buy masks, hand sanitizer, and surface  cleaning wipes.

At the time my family thought I was nuts, but then when we got to late February they were completely on-board with me.

Like I said in one of the other forum threads I posted in, I consider myself quite spiritual. I guess I'm here to be with like minded people, because it feels quite lonely to have these thoughts and feelings/experiences and not have anyone else to share these with and talk to.

Below is a screenshot of a few items I bought in January this year to show I'm not crazy lol

(Okay...well maybe a little. ? )

Edit: apologies forgot I can't post images yet.

Update on Michigan.

Our Republican controlled house and senate were doing victory laps about the MI-SCOTUS decision stripping Whitmer of her powers.

Until yesterday...

When the state health department invoked their constitutionally enshrined pandemic powers and put all of her restrictions back into place -- and in a few cases stricter restrictions.

I'm certain there will be another fraudulent petition drive, but when I did a quick scan in Whitmer's direction the most impressive wave of giggles came over me.

It was a great Monday evening :-) And whether those giggles were her, or me projecting my own mirth onto the situation, it was good to laugh again!
