I am curious to know what prayers people use and ways to connect to spirit for healing, gratitude, grounding etc.
Personally I use a mixture of everything. I started my spiritual curiosity through Christianity, so my prayers tend to have a Christian leaning and influence to them. I frequently use prayers to God, Jesus, Mary and the Archangels. Sometimes I use a rosary or I light a candle to help me connect more.
Other things that I do are: daily affirmation cards, meditating using various different types of relaxing atmospheric music, but more recently I have been learning more about energy crystals and grids. I also sometimes listen to ancient Indian mantras.
I find it is also helpful to use Angel Oracle cards. I use some Doreen Virtue ones to do readings for myself and my family or sometimes I use them to just ask simple questions to the angels. Sometimes it isn't necessary to use them because I will receive an answer outside of using these cards, but it is nice to use them as tools to help understand certain questions / situations further.
I am also not ashamed to admit that I have used prayer request services online through difficult times, and I am really happy to say these have helped me and my family many times.
We all go through incredibly difficult times in our lives, and this has been a difficult year for many and still is, so I thought it would be helpful for people to share the different things they use that they feel have helped them. You never know, what you share may also help somebody else, so please share away!
Wishing you many blessings in love and light.
@luminous I was taught Buddhist philosophy and scriptures growing up and it has helped me with my spiritual growth and Journey. I’ve always done a lot of chanting and meditation as a kid and have continued that practice. My mantra and chant of choice is Om Mani Padme hum. When I chant this I do it for about 10-15 minutes either silently or out loud and create different musical tunes from it. There are days I would incorporate my steel drums or chimes along with my chanting and the meaning of Om Mani Padme hum is so incredibly deep that I feel like I don’t need to ask or pray for things since it’s healing phrase that’s full of magical and ancient wisdom. Aside from the chanting I also do different variations of meditation everyday. Meditation connects me to a powerful and peaceful realm that is kind, empathic and forgiving. It helps me stay calm, listen effectively and look at myself and the world with kinder eyes. I love gratitude meditations and it also gives me such joy to give back and do more things to care for others and our planet.
share the love and light
The way that I focus the intention of prayer is to simply go deep within my soul's consciousness and feel aligned with Spirit, through meditation and sometimes just letting go of whatever I'm doing or thinking of or dreaming about, if I feel that Spirit is calling.
I long ago gave up ritual, and don't prescribe to any religious structure (been there, done that throughout many former lifetimes), though I do ask for specific Angels to help or to offer guidance.
The Archangels, the leagues of Angels in the many dimensions, and our personal Angels know no religion per se, though many religions recognise them.
I sometimes chant the most sacred Universal word 'HU' to connect with all that is, with the Divine, in deep meditation ...
The Ascended Masters and Angels and all of our guides are accessible, even though we may all see and connect with them through different filters. They hear us, I am certain of this ....?
Speaking of being full of magical and ancient wisdom, the Dalai Lama is such a one ... I would love to see him one of these fine days in person.... it seems that just even his photograph can lift the vibrations ?
And Luminous, thank you for the blessing of starting this thread ..
I love the healing and attuning vibes of pure crystals and stones! I surround myself with French crystal and natural crystals, and have a special hunk of smooth pink opal from the Andes that I put to my forehead when meditating sometimes... it always radiates a tingly cool (temp-wise) vibration and is a conduit for healing and clarity.
Sacred sage, and myrrh crystals as incense are wonderful clarifiers also, and just smell sooo fine...
