Yes! I love seeing the smile in someone's eyes while wearing a mask. We really communicate with our eyes now, more than ever.
Glad you got a morning laugh today.
@lovendures I am one of those people with a natural "resting b.... face". It's been nice being able to just let it rest under the mask instead of forcing a happy look.
Wow, okay, @deetoo and @lovendures! A whole new perspective on masks. At some point, psychologists are going to come out with studies on the many reactions to mask-wearing.
After hearing that COVID will be controlled by this Fall where people can go out, I was wondering will we expect herd immunity by then? Even though there are anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, and anti-vax areas, do you see these people and places negatively affected even after COVID is no longer a concern?
Climbing up here on the roof on this beautiful night.
OMG, Joe Biden tonight!
He was so humble and he spoke to us in a whisper, like a spirit guide speaking into our hearts, to our consciences. I teared up a few times. A friend commented that she didn't think it was possible to feel cared for by our government. He really really cares, doesn't he.
And what the hell is wrong with Ted Cruz? Falling asleep? Intentionally closing eyes. I'm going to answer that question: He was under attack because he is sponsored by dark forces and evil was under attack tonight. When Joe Biden was talking about gun control and the cameras focused on Ted Cruz, all I could think of was all the money Ted Cruz gets from the NRA and Kremlin representatives. And how he knows his sponsors are watching him closely during the speech. And his dark money consultants were working out how they were going to spin his response to Biden's speech.
But Ted Cruz aside, Biden's speech was wonderful because he comes from the heart and I believe him. I know he cares mainly about doing the right thing. There is no ego there. Only care. He wasn't to relieve suffering.
So I know tonight that for a little while I can sit back and look up at the stars. He's got this.
@dannyboy said he wants to keep Google out of his life. I would like that too.
This made me remember that long before the Internet and that gigantic company ever existed, my post-college love and I would use that name to express the magnitude of our love for each other. We'd say, "I love you a google!"
Am I the only one who ever used that term that way?
A google is just the largest number that is imaginable. It was coined by a nine year old math genius and it's a 1 followed by one hundred zeros: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
I just know that no one is going to want to"like" this post because too dumb. But I don't care. It's the rooftop lounge and I wanted to remind people that the company called Gooxxx stole a perfectly good word.
@jeanne-mayell I seem to recall hearing that once upon a time , long ago, in a land far away!!! Everybody knows tho... that really the answer is 42!!!!! ;-)
remember "I love you a bushel and a peck and hug around the neck"?
@jeanne-mayell well, technically they didn't steal that word, because the mathematical term you're referring to is actually "googol", not google.
