@journeywithme2 I once learned from a wonderful indigenous person that her people view bee stings as blessings. They believe it helps the stung person gain new wisdom. This is because bee venom, or "gift," carries the bees' knowledge and wisdom. From an indigenous perspective, the person who was stung should try to discover what new knowledge the sting brought. I'm also sending healing prayers and light to your body. I can see that there are plenty of other things currently making your body feel uncomfortable besides the bee sting and its "gift." I hope you feel better soon.

@joy Thank you very much! Yes.... being of Scottish ancestry... I deeply believe in the wisdom and knowledge of bees. One Scottish custom is kin ,usually the head of the household, of a newly deceased person telling the bees they have gone.  I also know of reports of bee venom being used in treatment of arthritis. I was sad that my little friends were inadvertently  killed by me and... I have a history of being allergic to venomous insect stings... more specifically yellow jackets, big red wasps and bald-faced hornets so I did experience a bit of swelling and itching at the sites of the stings. Benedryl taken in a timely manner was done to prevent further complications. I am working on processing and stepping back to "breathe" from the other things currently in the news that are overloading me.

@osyn1  I can tell you that what we focus on we create more of. Thought becomes word becomes deed.

When you wake up each morning see yourself as blessed, tell yourself you are always in the right place at the right time with the right people doing what is right for you. Tell yourself I am healthy and all of my needs for safety, shelter/home, good health, plenty of food,  and financial abundance enough to share generously is manifested in Divine Right Timing and I am blessed with enough each day. Think it, see it, believe it, manifest it. The Universe is a place of plenty... you do not take away from others to have yours as you wish. I call in blessings for you as your realize and begin to practice and manifest the way you want your life to be.

Thank you very much for the good vibes... and... see those good vibes for yourself as well. 😊

@journeywithme2 Healing energy sent.  Google ST36 and press it for a couple of seconds to balance digestion/immunity.  If you can tolerate weak black tea with a bit of steamed rice, that may help too.  I read that roiboos can calm digestion in hot weather, so maybe a bit of that if you have any around will balance things out.

Peace

  • @journeywithme2 Yes, dearest one, breathe deeply. Take in all the fresh Love that is coming to you to uplift, empower amd heal your body and let go of all old stress and old fears.           The bee queen stands for wisdom, purity, healing, immortality and the bee people for ideal cooperation and commitment to community. They won't eat each others like wasps usually do when winter and darkness and cold and hunger is coming. Only the young wasp queens will be able to survive winter time as the wasps won't care enough for the whole wasp community, so all wasps will die except for the young wasp queens which survive winter in a shock-like condition or a cold-induced paralysis.                             Instead, bees under the lead of a bee queen are going to warm each others at the perfect temperature in order to let all bees survive together and they keep their honey together during winter time, caring deeply committed for each others until spring time.                  Do you get why you probably might react more allergically to a wasp-type animal's sting than to a bee sting? Let the bee queen's wisdom tell you what you need in your life right now to become and stay healed and secure and safe and comfortable, and most of all fully able to survive during a cold phase because you are part of a Loving community, dearest one!

I thought I'd share something that may help others. I am working on forgiveness. Trying to look backwards and forgive myself for the past is not working.

Instead I made a list of things that I am doing/handling well and wrote a shorter list of things to work on. Staying in the present is self care. Setting goals is forgiveness. Being willing to improve is self love.

.I think I've cracked the code.

How do you cope with Insomnia? Is insomnia connected  to intuition?

Tonight I am reminding myself that I will not be awake forever. Also, the more typos I make writing posts the closer I am to nodding off. This is why I so often write.

Is insomnia made worse with panic for you? How do you cope?

@ghandigirl Thank you very much for your Healing Energy.  As a female of a "certain age"? I often get insomnia .I find many things can cause me insomnia.  My go to is chelated magnesium and box breathing to turn off "monkey mind" as well as music at times. Solfeggio HZ for sleep - lots on YouTube as well as NSAIDS when the chronic pain is a contributing factor along with a heating pad. You have to try different things at different times and find what works for you. Hugs and sending Sleep vibes.

@ghandigirl    Well, I don't usually have trouble *falling* asleep.  When I do, it is because my mind is going over plans, thinking of problems, and working out solutions. (My brain adores solving puzzles and problems even when it's stressful.  🙄 ) When that happens I remind myself that there is time to think about things tomorrow, and that at present I have the opportunity to turn it off and take a nice relaxing break. (The Scarlett O'Hara method  😀 )  Usually that helps.

A bigger problem I have had is that even when I fall asleep easily, I would wake up at 3 AM and be unable get back to sleep.  My doctor prescribed trazodone and that has been a miracle.  Usually I fall asleep and stay asleep until morning.  And I don't wake up groggy.  The first time I took it I slept for 12 hours straight and woke up feeling renewed.  After I spent a few nights catching up, I sleep around 8 to 9 hours. Trazodone can help people fall asleep too, but for me the continuity of the sleep was the big problem.

I am not a fan of medication in general, but I think this has been a boon to my overall health and wellness.

@ghandigirl I rarely have insomnia, but of course panic and anxiety can be the best ways to get insomnia or make it way worse, especially when you are not feeling grounded enough. A wonderful exercise against this is the Savasana yoga exercise, especially if you start with relaxing tense muscles at the fore head region, go with your mind slowly through your body, relaxing it region by region and finish at the feet region. For a general instruction please look below. If you do Savasana in your bed its very easy to fall asleep afterwards.

Regarding medication, Melatonin retard helps wonderfully with insomnia in case the body is now at an age where it no longer produces enough melatonin to be able to sleep through the night. The advantage of melatonin is also that it is a substance that occurs naturally in the body and does not lead to any addiction at all, unlike some other sleep medications.

The following Savasana instruction is from https://www.masterclass.com Savasana-pose-explained

How to Practice Savasana

Mastering the art of final relaxation can be very beneficial for your overall wellness. Here is a step-by-step guide to practicing Savasana:

1. Lie on your back. At the end of your yoga practice, lie down on your mat. Spread your legs to the width of the mat, allowing the feet to splay out. Tuck your chin in towards your chest to make the back of your neck long. Bring your arms to your sides, palms up.

2. Support yourself as necessary. If you need to cover yourself with a blanket to be comfortable or adjust your clothes or hair, do so. You can also cover your eyes with a towel, shirt, or eye pillow to avoid visual distractions.

3. Focus on relaxing tense muscles. Starting with the toes and working your way up the body, relax all of the muscles in your body and allow yourself to sink into the earth. Let the ground support you. Focus on releasing tension held in the jaw and between the eyebrows.

4. Meditate. Mentally release the practice you just moved through. Release thoughts of the past and the future and what’s about to come next. Just surrender and be.

5. Release your breath. After settling in and taking a few deep breaths for tension release, let go of taking long, conscious breaths. Let your breath return to its natural state.

6. Stay a while. The suggested time in Savasana is five to fifteen minutes. If a thought arises, observe and accept it, and then just let it go. If you feel the need to move, remain still in your entire body.

@joy  Yes, that exercise (Savasana) is a very good one.  I was not familiar with that name but I have practiced it (or a variation of it)  from time to time.  I taught it to my son when he was little.

I learned it in a yoga class.

We were told to - as we went through the body parts, starting with the toes- was to place attention on each part and really notice the sensations in it and be conscious of it how it felt, then let the part relax and "go to sleep". We went through toes, feet, ankles, lower legs, thighs, abdomen, back, chest, fingers, arms, shoulders, neck, face, and scalp.  Any place there was tension was given extra time to settle down.

I should probably do this exercise more often.

@ana Indeed, Savasana usually starts with your toes and finishes with your forehead. If you follow this sequence, you will feel increasingly relaxed without falling asleep. This way, you can make sure that you'll still be awake when the meditation phase begins. However, if you would prefer to fall asleep during Savasana and do it in order to fall asleep at home in your bed when night time is coming (...not during a yoga class 😉 ), then it's best to start the relaxation process with your toes and finish with your forehead — you may already be asleep in your cosy bed at home by the time you would relax your forehead!

@ana When I was in High School, I found the "How To Increase Your Psychic Ability. It work very well. I started to see spirits, and had partial out of the body issues. Scared me and I stopped the psychic stuff.

Magnesium chews.

No caffeine after 1:00.

Unplug an hour before bed at least.

Sleep in a dark room.
