but I picked up on that frenzy in the collective and in the supermarkets, and it made me anxious that I too had to do all that, and I had to let it go or skip the holiday.
My wife has forbidden me from entering stores between Thanksgiving and Christmas for this exact reason. I get groceries at Aldi on my pay weeks but anything we can't get there ends up on her list the next week because she doesn't care.
Your WHOLE post here is exactly my problem with this season.
Coming off of some heavy meds and illness. Made some lifestyle changes particularly with my diet.
Got my flu and covid shots yesterday. Tonight I am battling some nasty stomach upset. Whether it is the shots, the meds, or anxiety I don't know.
Can use any healing light folks can spare. I do see light at the end of the tunnel but I am still in the damn tunnel.
@ghandigirl On a side note, I got flu, covid and rsv vaccines on one day. My arms hurt and I felt crummy for a day or so. Hang in there.
@ghandigirl I hope by the end of today you will be feeling a whole lot better! These shots affect each of us differently. My husband goes on as if nothing happened, while I'm down for a whole day!

Speaking of scaling back the holidays, taking time for our own good health contributes, in a larger sense, to the health of mankind. We may not be able to do much more than vote, donate to food pantries and run toy and clothing drives, but doing these things with a contented heart goes a long way to changing the trajectory of our society, I think.
We are the ones daily choosing to create a more respectful neighborhood, town, state and country by our words and actions. I don’t fear for the future of our country or of democracy. When we live our simplest, most satisfied, loving lives, I believe we heal what is wrong with the world.

I cant say much right now, as i cant sit up long or use my phone. But I please ask for your healing assistance to help this be a permanent fix.
They finally found the csf leak in my spine and I've had a targeted blood patch a few days ago.
I hope to talk to you all again either later this month or in the new year.
