@unk-p Mea culpa. Your distaste of Tiger and golf triggered how I feel about people who piss me off, but I don't have any hard feelings about Tiger, who always looked so sad to me. One side of my family is hugely in love with golf, and I always balked from that. And I don't like golf courses. I even wrote an op-ed piece in our local paper several decades ago clobbering our local country club and their precious polluting golf course, which would have had my father rolling over in his grave. I don't write that kind of attacking columns anymore. But I wanted you to know that I agree about the negative effects of the golf world.

@Unk-p, You care deeply about so many. I know you wish all people and animals good will. May good come from his accident and from all accident which happened that day and all days.
I knew what you really meant and that you would never wish anyone harm. I think what irks you is what many of us don't always talk about - is that the news these days tends to be just a way for many of the networks or news orgs to make money and sensationalism. I will definitely pray for Tiger, his prognosis on his legs is not good, he broke two legs and shattered his ankle. That doesn't bode well for his golf career. But perhaps the Universe wants him to do something else with his life now? We shall see.
Going back to the point, if we could all imagine a world where news organizations only told us about important news and threw in some positive ways we could all affect one another can you imagine what our world would be like? Instead of what (for example only) Kim Kardashian or someone else had for dinner or did that day, it would be focused on important things and people who were making a difference. If that were the way our country was I bet the former occupier of the White House would never have been there to begin with.
@liln22 I will pray for your kitty! It wasn't until I had my own pet years ago (my dog Ibbles) that I realized how they were family too. ??

@unk-p @jeanne-mayell @moonbeam @journeywithme2 @paul-w @triciact thank you and everyone else who kept my cat Cinna in your prayers too!!! I truly believe they helped both her and our family who love her. We made it through the 24 hour watch and she is doing better so I'm cautiously optimistic. We still have another week of medicine (which she does not like!) and a follow up appointment. However, last night she finally ate a full meal and kept it down so I can breath abit again. To top things off, her carrier and travel stuff was in our garage and the cold weather warped our door and it was stuck. I ended up having to go get another carrier before we could take her in and was just thing after thing. She really is a sweetheart. Each night before I go to bed, she jumps up on the bed, looks me in the eye and then flops sideways so she can be caught in a hug. She often will come lay her head on my shoulder and just snuggle up. When I was away for some weeks in the hospital a few years ago, she wouldn't hardly eat or come out to anyone. When I got home and was on a walker to get around, she would walk with me up and down the hallway to make sure I got everywhere OK. She just truly is special soul. Thank you all again. She is doing better but we are taking one day at a time until we get through this next journey with her. ❤️
@liln22 that is so great to read. ❤️ Sometimes cats become even more amazing than they already are. I call it a 'soul-cat' ? an extra special link when an animal is so tuned into you (and you into them) that they understand and comfort you as if they were a human friend. Losing them is like somebody tears off a piece of your soul.
I am rooting for you and Cinna. We need a win on this forum when it comes to sick cats. ❤️ Go Cinna!
@liln22. Will continue to hold you and yours in prayer for continued improvement and recovery. As a vet tech for 30 years... most of mine are special needs and others throwaways. It can be such a dichotomy of heartbreak and incredible joy and connection.

@unk-p, no worries. I watched the Tiger Movie, and that's the extent of my Tiger knowledge. He always looked like a tortured soul to me, even when he was able to perform like the gods.
Tiger always looked "lost" to me--- even at the height of his success.
This is not an urgent request but - this whole week I've been running our statewide conference virtually. On Tuesday evening I ended up in the ER - trying to teach my daughter how open a can of spaghetti for my daughters to heat up in-between sessions, I grabbed the stalled lid and pulled - a stupid decision but one made in the moment. I elected the medical glue instead of stitches because I'm a baby, but my finger is really messed up. I almost sliced the whole tip off!
My career as an international finger model is over. But anyone who is willing to send some healing energy to the finger to continue healing and not experience any infection, I'd love to accept that light.
Again, NOT an emergency. Just a request for those with the desire.
I was trying NOT to be that dad who went viral and made his 9 year old figure out the can opener herself :P
