Yes, Saturn in opposition to Chiron can certainly be a major impact both emotionally and physically, and will constantly feel restrictive until lessons are learned and old karmas are released. We can transform the energy though (much of it from past lives that we continue to pattern) into grounding a different paradigm and more beneficial structure. Look at how your Moon's nodes might aspect this opposition too ... *
Chiron in Virgo (purity) is about cleansing out the residue of past wounds and being healed on the most intrinsic level, because you are a healer, and will manifest this very strong and empathetic energy through your tenth house Sun (public recognition), and the third house (all things communication; writing*).
Coyote, I really have to emphatically tell you that this time would be the time to seek out a skilled Reiki master to do one- on -one sessions with ... let your intuition guide you to someone there in your area. (Even with the CV isolations, you may find someone who can safely come to you, or go to nearby).
The wonderful self -meditation that earthangel described, and Jeanne's guided light virtual meditation are really beneficial as well, and self motivating, but I feel so strongly that you will benefit from a Reiki master who can be there in person with you.

And really, what should I tell them? That I'm coming from this background of a complex medical condition and need healing? That old wounds need to be cleared out? I need to unwind restrictive energy?
Question. The bright light that's bathing our body and our multi-colored chakras; Can that bright light be any color? I'd envision it as a generalized mix of gold and silver: luminosity.
@coyote Yes, Sometimes it’s white/silver, and sometimes more gold for me. I’ve never seen another color, except to say that oftentimes the color inside the spheres I envision begins as smoky/gray that is cleared away by the dominant cleansing color.
In other words, when the dominant color is filling the sphere, it’s pushing out a negative smoke-like air and replacing it with the positive empowering color. If the smoke doesn’t clear right away, I sit w it until it clears.
I read up some more yesterday about each chakras function and archetype. Going to study it more as it’s a lot of info to absorb, but fascinating all the same. It advances my understanding and how I was taught. And there are various interpretations of chakra healing that are shared among healers. I’d say if it resonates w you and you feel calmer and cleansed afterward, then stick w that.
p.s. I had my first reiki session last year and it was a good experience. Def cleared out stagnant emotions.
It's so wonderful that you are taking the first steps towards that balancing and healing my friend. I have the distinct impression that you are gonna have some unexpected and very positive results ... I know the sessions can be expensive depending on who you go with (Reiki Master Level best for you*), though try the first session and schedule more if you are pleased with that person's ability. (There are different levels and some are novice, or general practioners, while others are expert and specialists, much like a medical physician).
And yes, those are perfect questions to put forth, and the Reiki Master will be able to sense it all as it comes from your auric energy field too ...

In respect to belief and practice understandings, it is so important that we all learn and work through whatever source of light and learning that we are intrinsically drawn to or synchronisticslly guided to learn.
For those of us as elders here that began our experiences (as i know both Jeanne and I have in the 70s -decades then and years now) our views, our practices and our belief systems can change, grow and transform tremendously over time especially when time is many, many decades.
My focus and practice in energy work and multicultural healing practices 5 decades ago was based on the absence of ego and a complete belief that one should give abundantly without asking for financial recompense in return.
Once the "New Age Movement " swept over practices and the media and even Costco had an entire aisle of books on everything from Chakra Healings, Acupuncture, and working with Archetypes, a lot has changed.
I studied so many different systems, teachers, techniques and practices both in person and after the creation of the home computer, the Internet, the World Wide Web, and finally Windows so one could actually easily find things to read, besides esoteric books, that I truly feem like an ancient grandmother and have a hard time giving advice when my own gifts and practices have so developed and changed since lates 60s-early 70s.
But as someone who has used all three levels of Reiki, as well as Healing Touch, and Energy Healing with many, many names and creators, and early shamanic works, energy cleansing ( we sat in homemade energy pyramids in the 70s) astral travel classes/practices etc etc etc, i am grateful when wonderful members like yourself and others join us and share experiences so very, very much.
Far too often, many of us just naturally (or even perhaps too desperately as much is needed now) we want to help others, raise them too quickly to places they are not yet ready for, had enough life experiences to relate healing to, and talk and write in ways that are probably challenging to even understand much less relate to.

You all bring me to tears knowing how much harder in many ways it is today even with so many millions of practices and practioners out there due to the very challenging energies of this very challenging time.

@Michele and @Coyote In my further reading, I discovered that my interpretation of the high heart chakra is inaccurate. This chakra is where Intention originates and where selfless, unconditional love is also an attribute of a healthy & balanced Higher Heart chakra. It allows us to be open to giving and receiving unconditional love. Also, dream function is highly developed with an open and balanced Higher Heart. The ability to connect to your dreams in your waking reality is one key component.

With any energy work, I think it best to let the practitioner read your energy and work on it empirically, without having any pre-conceived notions.

Coyote, the local reiki master I suggested to you off line has an instrument that photographs the colors of your chakras. When I got my reiki certification with her during several all day sessions, she took photographs of our auras. It was amazing, truly. There was another woman getting hers done with me.
She was a very physically robust gutsy person with high sexual energy, by her own admission, but it was obvious anyway to me from her voice and well, I could feel it. Her photograph showed a lot of strong red light coming from the root chakra. My photograph showed a lot of white and lavender light coming from the third eye and crown chakras. It was amazing and I was surprised. I consider myself pretty physically robust being Tauras and having a history of running marathons and triathlons, though not in the past twenty years. But the photography reflected spiritual energy more than anything and the other woman's photography reflected the physical. I don' know how that camera worked.
Robynn, the reiki practitioner, is an impeccable person. If you go to her you might want to have that photography done because it may reveal something that will be helpful.
With someone as high level as Robynn, I don't think it would be a problem to tell her why you are there. Certainly you can ask her in advance if that would bias her. She usually sits with people for 15 to 30 minutes before the session just listening quietly and empathically to whatever you want to tell her. I find those few minutes before I get on the table to be a healing session itself.
When I did Reiki I and II with her (the training), we worked on another student together and Robynn's hand went across mine as she reached towards the recipient's chakra. I felt intense heat pulsing from her hand. I will never forget that. She said that the person's need was drawing the healing energy from her. When she works on me, she will comment on areas where she feels intense heat and that my centers are pulling it from her.
I have felt that same heated pulsing being drawn from my palms during Zoom Circle of Light meditations that we do here live on Mondays and Wednesdays when we put someone in the center of our circle for healing. I'm not doing Reike, just sending healing to them. But I can feel them pulling the energy that I'm channeling. It is powerful.
I believe that is Kirlian Photography that you are speaking of ... fascinating, and wish it were more available ?
