@Febbby23 - Beautiful sweet dogs. You can feel warmth and kindness, and gentleness emanating from them.  Bandit is pretty, a delight, lively, also the Mother, maybe the watch dog, and Summer is more thoughtful, quiet. Summer knows she's alone now, and while she can't express it, she is feeling the loss.  She feels your loss too, as do I, dear Febbby23

Although she feels safe and protected and loved, she definitely  needs a lot of love right now. She may react by sleeping more or showing less interest, at least that is what my cards are telling me. She will soak up anything you provide.

@jeanne-mayell Bandit is worried about Summer being alone.  I got that instantly.  I'm wondering @Febby23 if Bandit was a protective pack leader?  Summer doesn't feel as phased as Bandit seems to think she should be.

@jeanne-mayell we have been extra attentive to Summer and she’s getting both shares of love.  I know she’s feeling the loss of her sister and I’m watching out for anything out of the ordinary.   Thank you

@dannyboy you are so right. Bandit was more of the mother and protector.  We always felt if one had to leave first it would be easier if it were Bandit.   It’s not easier on any of us or Summer but the disposition of the girls showed through.  The one time I took Summer to the vet without her sister Bandit howled the entire time until we returned. That’s when we knew. Neither option is good but it’s what we have.  Thank you.

@ana thank you so much.   Those of us who are animal lovers completely understand.  They are part of the family.  Where else can you receive complete unconditional love like that?  Humans can try but we can’t pull it off like a fur baby.  We’ve been blessed.

This is a very great thread. Is it possible to read an animal that has crossed over? My dog Toby was everything to me.

@matildagirl Thanks for your concern about Nimbus' nose freckle.  The vet says that's all it is, a freckle.  Its been there a couple of years but hasn't gotten any larger.  A lot of light-colored cats get them as they get older.

But I do know what you mean about the cat skin-cancer.  My uncle was a farmer and had a large extended family of blue-eyed, white barn cats who kept the mice down.   With the blue eyes, they were highly vulnerable to the sun.   A lot of them had raggedy ear tips from cancer or pre-cancerous lesions.

@ana I am glad that’s all it is, poor old Mr Jake, he looked so awful with part of his nose gone and his ears clipped. He was a very loving cat and I am sure sometimes he still sleeps across me at night I feel a weight there. Had to have him put down in 2009, he was 17 but in a lot of pain. Matilda my other cat who was totally different, I think she loved us but would give you a scratch if you got too friendly she died in 2006.  Our dog Speights was in 2005. We haven’t had pets since they died, my husband was devastated when Speights died he never wanted to outlive another dog again, it hurt too much. I would like more pets but here were we are too many birds, lorikeets, kookaburras, all sorts and I remember chasing Jake in the garden at 2.00 am trying to get a bird from him, with him growling not wanting to let go when we were living in Sydney. Got it off him, he was not pleased, the bird got away and hid under my car and wasn’t there in the morning so I assume it lived. It would be nice though to have more though.

Regards to all

@ana I found Jake and another kitten with a bowl of milk when I was out walking, one still had an umbilical cord attached. They were probably less than a day old. How on earth the person who abandoned them thought they would survive by doing that is beyond me.

We hand reared them, Jake thrived but Elwood never really grew, the vet ended up putting him down. My dog Speights helped rear them, he used to lick them after feeding to help with the peeing and the pooing, Matilda took one look and never came near them, Speights and Jake were very close. I don’t think Matilda had a maternal bone in her body.

Regards to all

@northernstar wanted me to post the photo of her beloved girl Macy who passed last week and has left her and her family broken hearted.  She was hoping someone here could read Macy for her and provide whatever insight comes to you. To Northernstar, I am so sorry for your loss.  It is heartbreaking to lose a beloved fur baby.

Macy is a kind and loving soul.  She knows she's been loved.  But her health became a heavy burden, so she is now at peace and free from an achy body. She has had many hugs in her life and she loved those hugs, like a wonderful  blanket.

I don't know what happens when we pass, but I can still report the vision I have of her looking at you with love and wishing  to comfort you. She wants you to know she is free of pain and loves you beyond your wildest imagination. She knows you miss holding her and patting her soft velvety coat.  But she feels you and will always remember how your touch felt to her.

@northernstar, I can see how loved she was from this photo. I can see how she felt to you. I send you my warmest comfort that I can send to you. May angels surround you all.

I haven't felt comfortable reading from photographs because I feel like I might be just getting what the subject was feeling in the moment, not necessarily what their general "vibe" was or is.

When I saw Macy though, I felt she looked tired and in some pain and ready to go-- and sad because she would have  preferred  to stay with her people. But it was time.    That agrees with your reading, Jeanne.   But there's also a spark of expectancy in her eyes--- better times to come.

When I saw Toby, the word « love bug » immediately came to me @ghandigirl. Toby seems to love being cuddled and held by his favourite humans. He loves his home and is very comfortable there.

@jeanne-mayell

Many thanks for all your words of comfort, I wish I could come up with the words to express my feeling, at how overwhelmed I feel to know that Macy felt loved and wanted, and the love and joy she fetched to our lives. Macy made our little family complete she will forever remain in our hearts 💕 . Once again thank you.

He was a super cuddly boy and totally devoted to me.  He left me too soon. I wondered if he had a message for me. You both have given me messages of love from him and I thank you for that. My cuddly Cleo kitty has the same spirit and devotion. These extra special support animals have made all the difference for me.
