I've found that Saturn has had a greater impact on me when it's transited my Sun, Moon, or one of the angles in my chart, more than the Saturn Return itself.
As another astrologer whom I follow says, Saturn loves a plan. If you get a plan in place, especially for those things that seem most daunting, and execute it, Saturn will reward you with real achievement. Of course, it may feel like the emotional equivalent of being hauled out of bed at 5:00 am to train for a marathon, but invariably after I've finished a difficult Saturn aspect, I'll look back and feel good, at a deeper level, about the progress I've made.

My natal Saturn is in the third house, 6 degrees off the IC. Not a close conjunction but still.. I think Saturn is always with me in that way.

This is a great description, IMO!
I am reading this recent thread about Saturn return and learning some stuff. Sadly, I tend to read astrology websites to determine where the planets are in the sky so I can get out my trusty telescope and find them (try finding out their locations on an astronomy website, it is so difficult to figure out what quadrant and degrees mean, whereas astrology websites list planets near constellations, which is easier for me to locate). Therefore, planets' underlying meanings in astrology tend to get kicked to the wayside as I eagerly search the cosmos for a glimpse of Mars or Venus (and am usually prevented by cloudy skies. LOL!) All I know is I am a Leo, I am ruled by the sun, etc.
But while everyone is talking about Saturn return, I want to know if anyone can explain the Pluto return, which is supposed to occur in February 2022. From what I understand, people don't get Pluto returns (unless they live past 248 years.) But countries do, and apparently Pluto will return to its exact point in the sky that it was located on July 4, 1776, which makes February 2022 the USA's Pluto return. Some of the websites are contradictory, but they seem to suggest that Pluto brings darkness with it. Countries that recognize the darkness and try to make amends will survive, while countries who deny the darkness will eventually fall. So, if I am right, Pluto is a planet of "transform or die" vibe to it. (sorry for summarizing. I don't pay much attention to Pluto because I can't see it with my telescope, so while I know quite a bit about the lore for Mercury-Saturn, the other planets and their supposed meanings are lost to me.)
So....can anyone explain the Pluto return better and what it might mean? Some people say that it will transform our economy (something about Pluto being in Capricorn?). Or it may mean the topple of institutions that have been in power for so long (if so, PLEASE let it be about Trump and the Republicans' current brand of intimidation and violence against the rest of us.) But I am curious if someone can give me their opinion, as I trust you guys more that I do these random websites. Again, this is curiosity only, but I would like to know, especially as Pluto return is supposed to be exact somewhere between 2/19/22 and 2/22/22 (too many twos, don't you think?)
Speaking of Saturn returns, I think most people here have been through at least one, and it might be interesting to compare experiences. To all: Did you go through any significant changes at about age 29? Or not?
When I was a few months shy of 29, I was suddenly offered a job that I wasn't expecting and wasn't entirely ready for. I moved halfway across the country and away from my BF ? . It was quite an upheaval.
I got married at three days past my 28.5 half birthday.

I went back to my Facebook page and pulled up 2009 (because as an almost 43 year old, the memory isn't what it used to be!) 2009 is the year my wife and I started trying and ended up getting referred to a fertility specialist to undergo IVF. I was just north of 29 when the second treatment we went through worked. It was also then that I was called in while on paternity leave by my principal to talk about my schedule for the next year and saw I had 7 baloney classes which pushed me to hunt for a new job (which I then got)
Essentially, my answer to your query is "oooh oooh! me me! over here!"
@lynnventura When you say 29, my guides tell me that in my career, I will be dressed up as a samurai for Halloween with navi symbols as my mon crests while I accompany two of my coworker's children cosplaying as the franchise characters trick-or-treating when I turn 29.
I just traced my Saturn returns and it was illuminating.
I was in an abusive marriage during my twenties and during my 28th year, it hit me like a ton of bricks that I had to get out. It took two years to finally end it, but it was definitely at 28 and a half that I woke up from the abuse because the wake-up came at a specific event, my 10th high school reunion. I went by myself to the reunion because husband wasn't interested in meeting my old friends. It was illuminating for me that I didn't even want him to go. They gave me a name tag that had my maiden name and my high school photo on it. It was the old me on that name tag, the bright and lively and free me. The contrast between this old me and the one who had been captive in an abusive marriage was so great that it awakened me instantly. As I was returning home to my husband that night, I knew I was going to get out.
My next Saturn return coincided with becoming empty nested. I had remarried and had two children. My youngest graduated high school during my second Saturn return and it was like the floor had dropped away beneath me. It was shattering because they'd given me so much joy. But it was the opening that I needed to start teaching people about intuition. I had no idea if people could be taught but I knew it was time to nurture a new group, not children but light workers.
My next Saturn return comes in my mid to late 80's. I don't know if that will mean leaving this body or simply doing something entirely new. But I can say one thing about it based on the earlier two: It has involved letting go of something and then opening to something amazing.
I think of Saturn as a task master, the father god who built civilization but who also binds us to duty, the "shoulds" of life. Each of my two Saturn returns have involved letting go of something I had built and the obligations that accompanied that, and greater freedom for me.
Speaking of Saturn, we're leading up to the final square between Saturn and Uranus at the end of December.
The dates of the three squares in 2021:
February 17
June 14
December 24
Saturn, as we've been discussing, is the planet of structure, time, delayed gratification, obstacles, foundations, etc. Uranus is the planet of sudden changes, innovation, technology, iconoclasm.
A square aspect is tense and tends to work itself out through external actions (rather than through introspection).
Some astrologers I follow say that we'll be done with this energy by early in the new year. Others say we'll still be dealing with the Saturn-Uranus square energy through October 2022, when it won't make an exact square, but will come quite close.
We've all felt the grind of these two planets trying to adjust to each other this past year. My own take is that we won't feel the square as overtly next year, but as echoes of issues that arose this year, without the same intensity. If you have planets in your chart in the 10-30 degree range of Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus, or Leo, you've probably felt this configuration in your personal life, rather than only through global events.
It's been a real start-stop year and I attribute it to the influence of this particular square.
I don't want to monopolize this thread, but it just occurred to me that the US Pluto return may also be a time when we're forced to deal with the consequences of the deaths of so many Americans due to Covid and the opioid epidemic.
Pluto rules death (and rebirth).
There is a beautiful astrological conjunction coming up between Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces in April. It will be most strongly felt between April 7-18.
Jupiter (the planet of luck and benevolence) will meet up with Neptune (which rules the spiritual realms) in Pisces. Jupiter and Neptune form a conjunction about every 12 years or so, but they haven’t met in Pisces since the 1850s.
It’s an excellent time to access intuition, everyday magic, art, spirituality, and healing, and to tune into the divine and beautiful all around us!
Something very cool is about to take place. 4 Planets align in the night sky. I can't help but wonder what this will mean astrologically. I know that when planets align they focus the energy more intensely. Anyone with more astrological understanding have any ideas on this? Some people in this community have predicted a change in the Russia Ukraine situation this month. At a basic level, Mars deals with war, Venus with love and relationships, Jupiter with expansion and fortune, and Saturn with Karma. If you put it all together...Voila! You get something.

I'm putting this here, rather than in the random predictions thread, in part because I think in terms of astrology, but also because this hasn't come to me in a dream or a premonition, but having said that: I've been getting a persistent reminder that we're living through the waning days of an old world that is crumbling and will continue to crumble, even as a new world puts up its first green shoots. In fact it feels like this crumbling is accelerating, and I believe that it will continue to do so until Pluto finally exits the sign of Capricorn on January 21, 2024. (Notice the closeness to the date of the next presidential inauguration.)
Is anyone else getting something similar?
