Who saw an elephant laying on its side in a vision? I don't remember myself, but it looks like there is a more literal hit than we thought:

I've had several elephant visions for the future.  They tended to coincide with government policies to either protect (China passed a protection ordinance) or stop protections (Trump just reversed an Obama ban to keep American exotic animal hunters from bringing back elephant trophies from their safaris.  Then there is the vision of an elephant crying at the end of the 20's.  I took it to mean that the Republican party had suffered a defeat that virtually ended their reign in the U.S.  It could also mean extinction for elephants.  These visions often have multiple meanings which can all turn out to be true.

This is more of a comment that anything, but whenever I see any cruelty to elephants in the news or on TV, especially recently, I get such a visceral reaction of grief and dread that I have to immediately stop watching.  The only thing I can see as a silver lining is that Trump's recent actions serve to expand the groups of people/voters who see him as as monster and this will mobilize people to take action.  I hope we, the people of the Earth, don't lose our elephant population.  They are wise and magnificent creatures, already suffering so much.  There really aren't words.

I feel the same way as lynnventura. It pains me to think of elephants dying. It's horrible that Trump is reversing this ban. It's so saddening to see things taking a step backwards....

At least he's reconsidered Blue!  I don't know how long that will last but the blowback was intense.  It brought the issue back to the forefront, which may end up helping the elephants.  Let's continue keep good thoughts for our magnificent friends. I think the power of collective thoughts (and not just actions) can help.

Praying for their protection. When I see elephants, I feel I am in the presence of  heart warriors.

Have asked the H.S. for the miracle the elephants so deserve.
