At Jeanne’s suggestion, opening a new topic as I’ve run across a couple articles in the last few days that have mentions or focused to the movement toward a focus on local governing and community support.  I found it interesting that what has been predicted here is maming it’s way into a public sphere of conciousness.  The first article is titled “Is There Life After Liberalism” and the second article is about Blackstone, a giant hedge fund sending letters out to CEO’s of major US companies suing the will not support companies that don’t contribute to society in a positive way.  Would love to get everyone’s insights on this and how it might track with the being done here. To me it appears what is being predicted here on the topic of local support/governance is making its way to the public sphere.

Here’s the Blackstone article:   https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/15/business/dealbook/blackrock-laurence-fink-letter.html

heres the link on the article Liberalism:  https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/13/opinion/sunday/life-after-liberalism.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=opinion-c-col-left-region&region=opinion-c-col-left-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-left-region
