The Biden family has announced today, that in addition to their two rescue dogs, there will also be a cat residing in the White House! This is great news, because for four years, there has been a massive rodent infestation at the WH.

@unk-p I saw that too! I was excited to see such a pet presence in the white house again. It just makes it more relatable to people. I have always been an avid human interest story kind of person. I read too today after I saw that there had a been a lot more cats in the white house than I thought including another cat named Malarky (Amy Carter's cat Misty Malarky). It was kind of fun just reading about the history of pets in the white house. I read that Abraham Lincoln had two cats that he went too when he needed comfort and stress relief. It also said that the first Siamese cat in the US was a pet in the white house. Anyway, I have been craving something happy in the news lately. I showed my mom that news story as soon as I saw it. She was tickled over it and I told her how all down twitter people were sharing photos of their cats giving their presidential pet approval.
