@codyroo

It would, but I don't believe he will end up in jail, nor will his kids. Exile? Maybe. Death by Big Mac? Maybe.

Yeah, that would fit the part about Rich people don't go to prison, that only happens to poor people.

@laura-f I was doing an automatic writing session this morning and I wrote - Barr would be impeached first then Pence would be impeached. Mr.T would NOT be pardoned. He would resign and then exiled. So when I saw what you wrote, I thought well that idea must be out in the ether as a possibility...EXILE. We’ll see. Sometimes my automatic writing is on point for me & sometimes when I’m too emotional I write my hopes. So, I dunno how accurate.

@jeanne-mayell  Thank you a thousand times for the hope and the rational, actionable plan you laid out for overcoming these dark times. Also, thank you for the permission of joy. I sometimes feel guilty for wanting & needing joy- when so many children and families are living in horror at our borders, land and environment depleted, mass shootings, and the myriad of greed that has run amok in our country. But you remind me- I am not just wringing my hands, but I have called , and rallied and continue to donate. I will help get out the vote. When all of this isn't going fast enough for me- I will mediate and send love and light to the whole situation. Thank you Jeanne! I hope you are feeling better from your throat surgery. Thank you for sharing your voice with us :)

@laura-f

Ha "death by big mac" I laughed my head off at that one!  When my father was in the hospital 2+ yrs ago I actually ate a regular McDonald's hamburger. When I arrived at my dad's bedside, he was more worried about ME, meanwhile he was seriously Ill, because I buckled over in pain from the burger. I never have - nor ever will eat another one of those things. The fact that's his main diet is scary!

This a good read article on T wanting us to give up. This is something we have felt on one time or another.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/02/11/trumps-latest-rally-stunts-are-designed-get-you-surrender/

In the end, many of President Trump’s ugliest degradations — the nonstop lying, the constant efforts to undermine faith in our political system, the relentless delegitimization of the opposition — often seem to converge in some sense on a single, overarching goal: To get you to give up.

To give up on what, exactly? On the prospects for accountability for Trump, via mediating institutions such as the media, or via other branches of government, or even via the next election, and more broadly, on the very notion that our political system is capable of rendering outcomes that have not been thoroughly corrupted to their core.

Trump displayed all these pathologies at his rally in New Hampshire on Monday night:

Trump predicted that “a lot” of Republicans will cast crossover ballots (which GOP-leaning independents could do in this state), for the “weakest” of the Democrats in Tuesday’s primary. Trump didn’t merely encourage this; he said it will happen, which seems designed to sow doubts among Democrats about the outcome, and to get them to fear Republicans’ ability to tamper with it.

Trump again shouted the monumental falsehood that he lost the state in 2016 only because of enormous numbers of illegal voters. This doesn’t merely prep Trump’s voters to see a 2020 loss as illegitimate. It also lets Democrats know that Trump has prepped Trump Nation not to accept a loss, and thus to lose faith in the likelihood of a peaceful transfer of power even if Trump is legitimately defeated.

Trump advisers told the Associated Press that they hoped his rally would create logistical obstacles for Democratic candidates there. The obvious intent here is again to psych out Democrats with the suggestion that Trumpworld has the capability to sabotage their political processes.

Trump ridiculed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for “mumbling” during his speech to Congress, then visibly approved as the crowd chanted: “Lock her up!” Trump has similarly delegitimized the opposition in all kinds of ways, at one point even scripting a rally speech to render the voters who elected the Democratic House as literally nonexistent.

@jessi1978, thanks for the W Post link.

I just posted something along those same lines, under the "Post Your Favorite Words of Wisdom Here" thread.  It's a piece from Dan Rather's Facebook page.

WBUR had a story today about an investigative journalist who found that the GOP starting in 2017 has created a data base, a dossier, if you will, of damaging information on journalists all over America so that when one of them stands up to Trump, then the right wing media and other right wing bloggers and social media people on FB, Twitter, and Instagram will begin passing this damaging information along.

The database comes from skimming these individuals' Facebook pages and other sources going back to childhood to look for anything embarrassing or damaging they can use to intimidate, ruin, get the person fired, and in general to silence the progressive media. Breitbart seemed to play a prominent role in the effort. Also Don Jr. is a major player.

I'm not passing this along to scare people, but to help people to not play into this game they are starting.

Good evening Tribe ❤️

I know hearing and seeing the news daily and being feeling the emotions of our closest family,friends and neighbors as well as the Collective... it becomes overwhelming. Self-care is a must... even if for just 15 minutes day. Fill ourselves with Love and Light and send it out daily. What can one person do in our daily life to affect a change? Find small ways to "pay it forward" "acts of kindness" and find the small ways that you can make the difference. Each of us has a part to play.. it is why we are here at this time. Know nothing ever truly dies... we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I have always loved the Starfish story and share a link to it here. May it bring comfort and guide those who wish for it to.

https://eventsforchange.wordpress.com/2011/06/05/the-starfish-story-one-step-towards-changing-the-world/

Remember - Here? Right Matters Here? Truth Matters - we do not struggle and fight alone. Keep the Faith - Together? Our drops of Light make a flood that illuminates the world.
