@paul-w I truly hope they are doing the right thing for their family. I worry that their concern is what will come out in a court case if their daughter truly proceeds with emancipation ... or what dirt she will spill if she continues tearing her family down on social media.
Anyone else feel "quieted"? Lately the news is too caustic to watch. I don't feel stirred up. A voice says it's time to reunite Americans.

Attached is Obama’s final White House press corps dinner speech. I saw the speech when it aired in the spring of 2016, but had forgotten a lot of it. It felt so wonderful to laugh again with a President … to feel so calm and uplifted. And yet, to feel such sadness. I’m holding onto that hopeful, uplifted feeling. I’m holding onto that laughter!
I hesitated posting this, fearing that it might bum some of you out. But then I thought, it’s good to be reminded what normal should be like. I believe since we’ve been there once, we can be there again -- but even better than before.

I am so glad you posted this. The bit he did - especially with John Boehner cracked me up. I needed a good laugh and even though it might be sad to think we went from a President we laughed WITH to one we laugh AT (or now cry because of)....it was still funny! ? ?

Seriously? This is coming from a man who looks like he put on orange face paint for a Tennessee Vols game but (1) used the Texas Longhorn shade by mistake and (2) used lead paint that was so old that it permanently changed his face and affected his mind.
I got a better idea. Let Trump and Biden have a race. Down a ramp. And let Trump have a head start, considering he has bone spurs.

I swear, why do we even bother with the man? He must have made a deal with the devil, which would explain why he hasn't caught Covid 19 yet. (Unlike Boris Johnson in Britain, who went around shaking hands and downplaying the threat until he caught it). I wish he would just quit and leave us in peace. We (the 65% of us who despise Trump) deserve a better President and a better country.
