And while we are on the subject, I think that Democrats need to make it a priority after the 2020 census to change the redistricting and ensuring that those gerrymandering laws no longer have affect for at least the next decade.

I completely agree with this, but the federal gov't has no jurisdiction over election districting, so it will need to be handled at the state level either by legislation or through the courts.

@jessi1978  Thank you for this.  For as much as I want him and his minions gone and hesitate to go against the prevailing mood here on the forum, this actually resonates with me.  I've been wondering if perhaps the first vision I posted in the forums (in the Numerology thread) was completely off base - and I am most certainly hopeful that it is - because I could see the Orange One winning in November by a very slim margin.  If the election is forced to go forward without the electors of even a small number of states or if it is forced into the House, that could happen even if (or actually, when) he loses the popular votes in all of the states.  I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but as @jeanne-mayell has said about her own visions, the strength of what I saw has not diminished much in spite of what others have posted since I joined.  I'll be honest, what I wrote back then almost seems to be wavering a bit on the surface, but when I look at the core of it, it still holds.

The only thing I would add to that prediction is that I do think that even if T does pull it out in the end, he cannot and will not last long afterwards, which will give us...*sigh*...Pence for a couple of years.

God forbid another 1-4 years with Rump. The thought is unbearable.

@suspira44

And i guess we all know the two who are under conservative scrutiny after recent Supreme Court decisions....

Do you have a news link for this or is there a chance its just spreading social media gossip?

Hugs to all. Stand strong,  stay safe, be healthy in all ways mind,  body, and especially spirit.

@michele-b Thank you for pointing out that there was a post with some scary news that came without a link and just set off a lot of emotional responses. Post like that will be removed.

@michele-b

I think what was referred was 2 Supreme Court women are retiring not judges. This was yesterday news.

The Supreme Court said Tuesday that the first-ever women to hold two prominent positions at the court, handling the justices' security and overseeing publication of the court's decisions, are retiring.

@jessi1978

Thank you for the link but since the comment you were referring to was deleted, i am unable to verify what was exactly said.

Another reason we all need to all news references with a link so that site's veracity is at stake not ours here.

I love the original poster and I love Jeanne who who also commented and probably deleted it as her comment initially indicated.

Your motive is a good one Jessi! And your heart is very good and so dear. I think you might still me the only commenter on my thread on Shadow Selves that i started way way too soon years ago before the group understood that concept. Your motive and need to help others touches my heart.  ?

@tgraf66 @allyn  Yes, but there must be something that the federal government could do.  Make gerrymandering illegal nationally.  Withhold funding for elections in states that don't meet certain standards. Any thoughts?  I'm definitely not a legal scholar, just an optimist.

@tgraf66  If Trump keeps Pence.  Who knows?  But I digress: I lived in Indiana when Pence was governor.  He did plenty of damage, lied on occasion, and pitted people against one another.  It was generally thought that he accepted the VP offer because his campaign to reelect him as governor was under water.
