@elaineg

I think all I said was quoting the chapter title of a book by Howard Zinn which contained that word. I certainly meant no disrespect! I apologize for my part in hurting your feelings!

@earthangel I remember Susan Sarandan and her comments. A lot of people suffered because of T’s win and continue to suffer. Although I have from time to time throughout my life thought the US needed a wake up call I personally feel my vote should be the best one I can cast, as if I was hiring that politician. That was not T.

I can feel some sympathy for his situation and I would like him recovered so the fullness of his crimes becomes very public. More people who worship him blindly need to see this, so what we create next has a chance to be better. When I begin to feel bad for him I remember how much cruelty he inflicted on our world. This is an expensive lesson for us on all levels.

There are seasons for learning and pain is inescapable. But the degree of destruction that has come to us is in our hands. I don’t believe we are a functioning democracy right now. We don’t even hold that shared value.

@dolphinspirit Agreed! I don’t feel sorry for 45, I only understand how his upbringing could cause such a damaged soul. Our environmental influences, however, can be overcome and rectified if we choose to do what’s right and get help so we’re not hurting others. 45 clearly derives great pleasure via the pain he causes and has no desire to change. His time of gross negligence and greed is up, however, and I look forward to seeing him finally pay for his crimes against humanity!

@mas1581. Watched it at your suggestion. He was winded, finally looked like a tired old man. At the end,  I saw relief that he was finished.

@rosieheart  He too said.. due to his medical history it was "out of an abundance of caution" . "

"In another tweet later on Saturday, Mr. Christie said he had checked himself in to the Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, N.J., on Saturday afternoon after consulting with his doctors.

“While I am feeling good and only have mild symptoms, due to my history of asthma we decided this is an important precautionary measure,” he said."  New York Times.

I was shocked when my acquaintance said he thought the US needed to be "run off the road" and rebuilt.   First of all, I didn't think things in the US were *quite* that bad (I mean, we had elected Obama, for one thing) and even if I had, I could never have stomached voting for T.

  But seeing the slime that has oozed out from under the rocks since the last election,  I guess things really *are* that bad, and perhaps drastic measures were necessary to expose the reality.   (Even in hindsight, though, I would not have voted differently.)

@amyv

I watched it again after hearing someone say it was edited. There are clear lighting changes and a clear cough(watch his face closely) that was edited out at about the 55 second mark. He also has indents on his face ( row and both cheeks)from a breathing mask that are the same as the pre-hospital video. After watching it repeatedly, I think this was taken before he left the WH.

@lowtide, I reviewed that discussion and there was nothing offensive from you.

@elaineg, it was a difficult discussion for you because someone asked you not to use the term "Indian" and you and @Coyote both pointed out that some Native Americans use the term without thinking it is offensive.  We were all, including you, caught off guard and everyone's intentions were good, including you! I was corrected many years back for cluelessly quoting a prediction that used a term for the Inuit that is considered offensive.

I am trying to keep the terminology in this forum sensitive to all peoples but language is organic and continually evolving, so terms that are still fine in some circles turn out to no longer be okay in public globally-read discourse.

After learning that many Indigenous people have proclaimed the term as being offensive, I removed its usage out of respect for the majority. Yet those who are part of those ethnic groups, such as your sister in law, should have rights to call themselves whatever they want. But we have to be sensitive in public forums that people from all over the world are reading. Thank you, @elaineg, @coyote and @Laura for educating us.

Good morning all.  First I'd like to thank @deetoo, @lovendures and all others for their kind words.  Like everyone else on here, I have been stressed and depressed with the upcoming election and what all is going on in our country.  I know it has made me very sensative and I sometimes over react.  I live in Louisville so I have the added stress of the Breonna Taylor murder and the protest as a result.  I stepped away from the forum and  as much internet as I could.  I can't say it did a lot of good.  I hope to join Jeanne's light circle meditation either Monday or Wednesday.  I have set a notice alarm on my phone to remind me!

Oh by the way I have posted in the BLM forum an update to the Taylor case and will try to continue as I hear things.

Now back to the circus.  How can anyone tell what the clowns condition really is?  The WH has lied to the public about just about everything, you just can't trust them!  One thing I know is that the clown will use this anyway he can to try to tough the election off.  I have had a feeling since this started that he is really scared.  His health isn't good at all.  He is 74 obese and has pre-existing conditions and possibly a drug dependency.  Someone that used to work with him on the reality show says Sudafed addiction.  That isn't uncomman, my Mom had that addition due to allergies.  The pics this AM are a joke, working hard signing blank pieces of paper!  Everybody knows if he wasn't sick he would probably be playing golf, Again!  Someone commented on how pale he looked.  Hells bells I look pale too without makeup!

It is a really sad stateof affairs that this man and his administration has mismanaged a pandamic situation so completely.  Trying to reverse ACA and leave millions of people with no health care, taking away Social Security, trying to stack the Supremem Court for their own agenda.  No once has he expressed any sympathy or concern for the people of this country that are suffering.  One thing that is obvious on twitter is that people are really PO's that he ad Christy (?) were admitted to the hospital right away when hundreds of thousands of people were told to stay home and quarantene because the hospitals are full.  He is getting millions of dollars of the best health care for free.  The narcisisum of these people just infuriates me!  Ok I need to step away and destress.  I have a goodmystery book to read so I am signing off for the day.

Namaste.

@georgia Beautifully shared. I want to affirm for you, you did not make it up. You tapped in to the true Essence of All that Is. Metaphysically I have always believed we make agreements as souls and we come here to play a part, per say.

I have my own stories and amazing experiences with the other side, or a tapping into our True Essence. So I just wanted to say, right on.

Personally, I can relate to you all on such a human level. I've been trying to practice NOT digging my heals in or reacting but listening. Someone I LOVE is hurting because of the rioting in their city. She will never go into the city again and is devestated. We do not see eye to eye politically, which has been excruciating to me (as she is a family member) but I was able to hear her pain and express empathy and sorrow and understanding.

It's tough. I believe T was put here to bring all of the shadow up and out so we can heal and learn. What an amazing time to be alive.

Love to you all.

The White House is putting out that Trump is doign great and may go back to the White House tomorrow.  I beg to differ... he has had these medications.. they just started the corticosteroid...those are not given to patients with "mild cases"  They are given to moderately severe to severe cases to suppress the cytokine response that attacks the lungs so fiercely. They had my son on steroids when he had it back in Mid-March and he is only 32 year old and a strong young man. FYI: corticosteroids suppress/modulate the immune response therefore.. he would have a suppressed fever also.

From the Guardian:  Just as a recap, #Trump has received the following (AFAIK)
- REGN-COV2
- Remdesivir
- Decadron

This does not sound like a person who was admitted to #WalterReedMedicalCenter as a "precaution". These are heavy duty medications being given to a person who is likely pretty sick."

Now the White House staff are explaining that the "contradictory statements" are to keep Trump in good frame of mind." I doubt it.  Now they are setting up a prayer vigil for him tonight.  https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2020/oct/04/donald-trump-covid-coronavirus-election-joe-biden-usa-us-politics-live-news-latest-updates

I would expect he is quite sicker than they are letting on.

@journeywithme2

Why is he not getting his preferred treatment, Clorox and LED Lights? Also, his dr should be that demons seed lady and the radiologist and the experimental drug from the pillow guy not these science based drs that know nothing.  Oh wait now cause it’s his health not anyone else’s is at risk he wants the best for him and screw the American people. They wants prayers and sympathy for him but it is what it is for those 200k people and counting.

@jessi1978

I was wondering the same thing... I mean he was very pro bleach... and I am sure more than one person probably got themselves hurt as a result.   Of course, we could go total conspiracy theory, I mean he is less orange.. maybe the GOP are doing their own version of "Dave"... kidding of course.

@journeywithme2

He is definitely sicker than coming off. The last recorded video was heavily edited and at least one hard cough was started and edited out. He also had breathing mask lines on his face in both. If he was really doing as well as they say, he wouldve recorded a video from Reed instead of using a prerecorded, heavily edited, video from the WH the previous day. The treatments, especially the corticosteroids, are only given to patients having moderate to severe breathing difficulties and never this quickly into a mild case of covid so either his doctors are irresponsible morons or they are hiding things. Giving a drug cocktail that is so early in experimental stages presents quite the risk, and medical risks aren't ever taken with a POTUS unless its absolutely necessary. Too many people are saying constantly that he is doing great-oversaturation of a story is a telltale sign of lying. On top of all that, Pelosi wouldn't be told to quarantine unless there was significant chances of her being needed.

The prayer vigil is especially concerning because it would do nothing to help his reelection and he isn't religious, nor is his family. There is no reason or explanation at all for it unless there was a distinct fear of his passing from this. Im not sure how they are going to explain away the Monday discharge because even if everything released is true and is doing great, he is doing so from the treatments and steroids. He can't be responsibly released 24 hours after that if was an uninsured patient, and especially being POTUS they can't take chances like that at all.

What disturbs me is that Trumpists are closing 5th Avenue for their parade

https://nypost.com/2020/10/04/trump-supporters-close-5th-ave-in-nyc-support-to-sick-president/

and the Republican rally in Staten Island.

What's going on in New York?

@kimskorner Thank you for affirming it. I don't think I made it up either, it felt too real in my body, in my heart. At that point, the truth didn't seem relevant, only the peace with I was left. I'm not going to lie, I've had my moments since then, where I felt a lot of anger at this whole administration and all the dividedness it has created. But I'll always have that moment to go back to where I was able to suspend my human self and make space for something bigger than me, than T or this country. For the most part, I feel pretty calm and an inner knowing that all is in divine order and it will get better. Love will win. Of course, coming here and reading the positive predictions helped a lot.

I too have always believed in agreements and contracts made before coming here. Now, if we could only remember them clearly...

Being from Brazil, I have many people there that I love and we don't see eye to eye, like you. It can be very painful. They all voted for Jair Bolsonaro, who is considered to be the Latin version of T. However, I adore these people  and we have an agreement of not talking politics and just focusing on the love. It works for the most part.

It is indeed an amazing time to be alive. Much love to you.
