Being gay in the southern Christian republican circles can be pretty dangerous if you're outed. You are thinking like sane people do-that its not a big deal. He is a very public figure with a lot of far right supporters. If they feel he lied to them and is an abomination of God(sad but this is how many think) they can very easily determine they need to take God's law in their own hands and go as far as to kill him. If I was a gau man in his position, I'd be terrified of being outed at this point.
@mas158. I lived in SC for 13 years. We were in Columbia - the state Capitol . Sadly, I would completely agree that he is terrified of being outed as a gay man. It’s SC. It’s changing but not for him. Hard to describe - it’s an undercurrent. I suspect he feels it.
Thinking of Trump's taxes which indicate that he is in deep debt and is basically broke, Pelosi pointed out something that most of us here have worried about from the beginning -- that anyone with political power in this country is a national security risk if he owes a lot of money.
I mentioned this back in 2016 when he was running. Whenever anyone in the government works in positions of power in the State Department or other parts of the U.S. government where they have access to classified information, they go through a vetting process to protect the country.
One of the big questions the government asks them is how much money they owe. Because they can be blackmailed, as I am certain Donald Trump has been.
Muller dropped the ball on that important issue when he narrowed his focus. I wrote about it back in early 2018 that I felt Mueller had information that Trump was a security risk especially with the Kremlin. But nothing of that was ever published. I think the British spy Christopher Steele approached that issue in his famous dossier.

I check electoral-vote dot com daily, and it's interesting to me that SC has turned deep red while NC remains outlined in blue.
I also looked at the voting results from 2016. Both states had a surprising (to me) number of blue areas. I was pleased to see how blue Fairfield county on down is.
kksali, Charlestown county went for Hillary 50% to 42% for Twitler. That surprised me also. I thought Charleston was a bluer area than Columbia.

Strange that Mueller is in the news today after I posted yesterday that Mueller had dropped the ball in investigating Trump's debts. Mueller was supposed to be following the money. I saw that he was doing that ina reading I did here back in 2017.But there was nothing about his massive debts in the Mueller Report.
Now one of his prosecutors has released a book criticizing Mueller for dropping the ball in his investigation and today Mueller is pushing back. Well, Mr. Mueller, did drop the ball. He failed us all. The greatest security risk ever to befall our country has been when a debt-ridden failed business man Donald Trump using the power of the presidency to sell our country to foreign adversaries.
I watched the presidential debate tonight. Trump didn't lose the debate, he failed the debate. He did his usual bullying and lying. He didn't debate.
I watched that video of T and Melania at RBG’s casket and the crowd spontaneously shouting “vote him out” about ten times today. It’s satisfying.

The major thing to come out of this debate was his call to arms to the proud boys. If anyone was on the fence before about his support of white supremacism, this cleared it up. Things are going to get violent if he loses. We are too deep into his fueling of hate to reverse it at this point. Election delays will help us though, as it will give less time between the decision and Inauguration of a POTUS that will stand up against these domestic terrorists.
