I know; it's just that my thoughts were grimly sardonic this morning, thinking that Twitler has been like a greased pig his whole life. Blatantly disgusting but hard to nab.
The good news about American democracy is that our president and our House of Representatives know how important it is and how close we have come to losing it. The bad news is that we are still close to losing it as long as the Republicans loom.
This New Yorker article lays it out: American Democracy isn't Dead yet, but it's getting there by Susan Glasser. "A country that cannot even agree to investigate an assault on its Capital is in being trouble indeed."
I'm not posting this to bring people down, but to keep us all awake and vigilant. I believe we will win in 2022. I've had a vision to that effect. But we have to keep up the effort. The effort we make is part of our own evolving consciousness and that is good and a win-win for all.
I will continue to hold the Circle of Light through the year and next year, (except for breaks to run a class), and we will continue to send energy to the democracy.
Michael Flynn gets a pardon and now he appeared to endorse a Myanmar-style coup in the United States. They are not stopping. This is so disturbing. They say these things in hopes that the crazies will do something. I mean they tried once. When will this B.S. stop.
Idk how many second chances Michael Flynn has had and he still find a way to be a traitor. There is a reason why Obama could not stand the man.
It's time that this man goes to jail and stay there. I hope Biden takes care of that.
Worst part of this is that Flynn is a 3 star retired general that's still receiving a 160k retirement. I'm not sure how he got away with that.
It seems to me that low-level losers (like the people who stormed the capitol) are being held accountable (and yet are not receiving extreme sentences - the woman from my area who stole Pelosi's laptop is being allowed to leave her home during her house arrest so that she may get a job).
Meanwhile those at the top - Stone, Flynn, Ali Alexander - who helped plan and organize the events of 1/6 have thus far totally escaped any culpability.
Also - who removed the panic buttons from Ayanna Pressley's office?? Seems everyone stopped caring about that little nugget.
Too many people are arguing 'the wheels of justice grind slow but fine' - and that may be, but if these people are not brought to justice we WILL see an escalation of these tactics. We are already seeing it.
Flynn is not only advocating for a military overthrow of our government, he is exerting his followers to become poll watchers. The first Q gathering in 2019 had <50 attendees. This weekend the number was several hundred. Too many are being primed for political violence -- and they are ready, willing, and able.
Here's what I know: this is getting worse, and trouble is ahead.
Here's also what I know: what I give my thoughts and energy to, increases.
So what on earth to do with this? Too dangerous to put my head in the sand, too dangerous to think about.
Any advice? (I am already meditating on the light I want to see become reality in this world - but I still worry about what I'm seeing happening [and NOT happening, as the case may be]).
@sistermoon The increasingly bonkers behavior screams out that they fear and/or believe they are losing. The mental picture I get is of Flynn trying desperately to climb a hill made of sand. Every time he attempts to pull himself up he falls further and further down.
@sistermoon I share those concerns as well. GQP has been allowed to do too much for too long. I see all of this fanning those flames and causing another uprising...around its birthday...before it finally forces severe and swift suppression and prosecution. The slope is slippery indeed.
My take on all of this (with the assurance from spirit that everything will be well and truly handled in the end) is that while this appears to be a "surge" of this sort of activity, there are eyes watching all of it, and it's a matter of "give them enough rope...."
For those not aware, Saturn (lessons, karma, gov't) made its retrograde station a couple of weeks ago. As as been said in the astrology forum, retrograde periods are times when we are given the opportunity to review/reflect/correct issues that we may have missed the first time. Saturn will be retrograde until October, so between now and then, we will likely see more of this as the idiots become bolder and think they've gotten away with it. I'm fairly certain that they are being watched, evidence is being collected, and cases are being built, shored up, and solidified for the next phase of prosecutions, which will likely begin after the Christmas holidays. Patience and fortitude are required for now, but I fully trust that when the hammers of justice begin to fall later this year and into next, the depth and extent of involvement by the various players currently in the headlines will be fully exposed and laid bare, and they will no longer have anywhere to hide.
Yes, there will be some who are missed and some who will seem to get few if any consequences from all of this, but they are the smaller fish, more or less bit players in the drama. Most of the major players will have their due, and those who don't will be squeezed to the perimeters and rendered impotent to cause any further harm.
The message I am hearing literally at this moment in my head is "Peace and patience, my loves...all in good time."
