There is something grossly unfair about the possibility of Rump "negotiating" his way out of Federal charges and treason/sedition as a way for him to publicly concede and disappear. Yet the Trump supporters who participated in yesterday's insurrection will likely be hunted down one by one and thrown into jail for sedition. What about Rump's endless destruction (climate change, children in cages, cozying up to dictators, destabilizing our post world war order, extorting Raffensberger and the Ukraine, all his election crimes/corruptions, the Post Office...the list is endless). He MUST be held accountable finally. Otherwise, it just looks like, once again, rich elites can "negotiate" or "buy" their way out of being held accountable while only "the little people" pay. That's what he did with all his casino and bank loans -- grifted his way through and escaped with barely a scrape...
I say: (1) 25th Amendment or Impeachment immediately (2) Freeze all his accounts so he can't flee and (3) Drop him and his repulsive family off on an isolated island somewhere cold and inhospitable (preferably stocked with predators) and let them have their very own version of "Lord of the Flies" ...that would give me great joy...
25th or impeachment won't be completed by the 20th so they wont work. I didnt say he gets the immunity he wants, just that its part of his negotiation. He couldve had it had he not incited the chaos yesterday but I dont see that happening now. As far as his accounts, I see that looming tax issue moving really quickly and the IRS freezing his assets to get paid back. He was worth about 3B a couple years ago and his properties dropped massively in value since then so once his lenders and the IRS come calling he will be broke. His only move, if still in the US at that point, will be to leave to Russia and live off of their money. I dont see that as much of an option anymore since his usefulness to the. has expired. He is more likely, imo, to end up in Saudi Arabian exile
Yes, I agree. The Saudi's seem to love him. That's his best bet. And I doubt he is of any interest to Putin at this point having served his purpose. Most of his properties and golf courses are financially hemorraging and his "brand" is radioactive.

There were several - a very subdued Inauguration. No inauguration. When I read them I was filled with sadness - not because I didn't understand there was a global pandemic going on - if anything I felt like a lot of changes to the event were inevitable. But after all this, I felt sad that Biden wasn't going to get what 44 Presidents before him have gotten - some pomp and circumstance to welcome him in to his new role.

Won't be Israel. They are too dependant on the US for their security and even Netanyahu knows better than to house Trump if the US comes after him. If he tried, the US would let them fend for themselves and they would even be more of a target for Iran since an attack would give them a 2 for 1 on their most wanted list-Bebe and Trump
Good points. Plus, the Saudi lifestyle is far more Rump's style: ostentation, oligarchs, huge class and monetary divides...He'd fit in well. Israel has plenty of committed left wingers/liberals, especially amongst it's (non-religious) young people...would be a bad fit.
