@Lawrence. I pray we get Warnock and Ossoff through!!! Perdue and Loeffler gotta go!!!! Doug Collins lost but is now to oversee the recount to ensure no cheating??? Give me a break.... I remember him howling like hunting dog during the Impeachment trial. Today Perdue and Loeffler are calling for the resignation of Sect of State Republican Brad Raffensperger stated this Republican "failed the people of Georgia and he should step down immediately." Personally I am full of gratitude that Brad did not sell his soul and sell out the Georgian people he serves... unlike Perdue and Loeffler who put profits and politics over the well being of our state. They have their heads so far up rTump's ass they have forgotten what daylight looks like.
@lawrence Am I reaching that the Loeffler/Perdue stunt today might backfire on them on some point? https://twitter.com/kyledcheney/status/1325892732355817473?s=20
I mean... hello it's the Right, but why would voters want to vote for two senators that openly attacked their own GOP SoS? I keep sensing that McConnell is going to be "over stretched" in the next six weeks with this run off happening as Trump flails about.
@lawrence There could be senators who pass on. The senate itself is filled with lots of seniors, and that's a possibility. Also, I'm wondering if Biden may offer cabinet positions to some republican senators who represent states with a democratic governor who may replace them. Of course not all states provide for their governors to appoint replacements, some just hold special elections, so Biden would have to find that perfect combination. Toomey (from PA) has said he isn't running for reelection. I'm wondering if Biden might offer him some position, or ambassadorship. Burr from NC is also a possibility.
Actually Biden offering GOP Senators a cabinet position is a good idea. Mitch already came out and said he wont allow confirmations of cabinet members he doesn't like so let's give him what he wants. Any GOP senator from a state with a Dem Governor will work, even the biggest lowlife you can find like Ron Johnson. Offer it very publically so they are forced to take it by the cultists then McConnell is forced to confirm them. Now you take his senate lead away and the cultists will be too stupid to figure that out until its over. All you have to do for cover is leak a story saying McConnell pushed him and he is giving in because he is going senile. The voters will force everyone's hand at that point and won't figure it out until Dems have the Senate majority and the GOP sucker gets fired shortly afterward.
@lynnventura
I agree ?. Mitch feels like he's in very bad health and doesn't have a lot of time left. I believe @@jeanne-Mayell mentioned this in a prediction. Kentucky has a Democratic Governor too.
@lovendures I have noticed the same thing. A lessening of talk on Facebook from the Conservatives and even some inviting Conservative friends to join them on Parler. It's like not being able to hear your child for a while then knowing that since you cannot hear them, they are up to no good and something is either in planning or is broken.
Whoever talked about a bomb in Georgia - cold this be what they are planning underground?
I'm not going to prognosticate about the Georgia races, but I do think there will be a blue wave in Congress in 2022. None of the GOP members will be able to ride #45's coattails, and many in T's base will have moved on or lost interest in the political process; remember many of the people T was able to turn out to vote don't have any long-standing connection to the Republican Party. They were attracted to his celebrity and pantomime of steely machismo. (Side note: I was thinking yesterday about how the GOP will try to keep Trumpism alive in 2024 and got the message "kitten imitating a lion." I sensed that any GOP politician who tries to copy Trump's bluster on the campaign trail will come off looking ridiculous to everyone, including T's former base.)
But back to 2022. I had a dream two weeks ago about the 2022 midterms where I saw throngs of people chanting "Take down the Coney Court!" I took this to mean that the ideological extreme of the Supreme Court will galvanize left-leaning and moderate voters the way #45 did in 2018. In 2022, there will also be very competitive Senate elections in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Pat Toomey, the PA incumbent, has already announced he will retire, so the GOP won't have incumbent advantage in that race, at least.
I watched the victory speeches with my mom. Afterwards, I commented to her, "Now you can sleep well at night knowing that we'll soon have a president who speaks in complete sentences."
One of the things I love about the Four Seasons thing is that the Four Seasons Landscaping staff are definitely in on the joke with the rest of us. First off, whoever at the company agreed to let the campaign have a press conference there had to have a wicked sense of humor, knowing about their industrial park location and their complete lack of experience hosting live media events. And now Four Seasons is shamelessly selling merchandise. I swear to god, those t-shirts and sweatshirts will be five-figure collector items someday.
The Four Seasons thing is an early Hanukkah gift that just keeps giving.
