I will never understand how anyone can think Trump is a religious savior. I can see antichrist, or the one supposed to bring about the end of days but savior? Seriously? I guess Jesus wasnt really diggin' the whole carpenter/generousity thing so when he came back he decided to upgrade to greedy real estate tycoon. Who needs purity? Let do porn stars! Poor? Hell no! Rich as hell now! I gave enough last time, lets just take on this trip to Earth. Water to wine? Sweet! Higher profit margins on the winery! Who needs feeding the hungry? Ill just put em to work for me and not pay em!

@lenor, has this billboard been put up recently in Maryland?  I see that the date of the article is November 2018.  It's really insane, but not surprising.  50 years from now people will read about this period of time and think that we'd lost our minds.

“That controversial electronic billboard urging St. Louis-area drivers to “Make the Gospel Great Again” may have been taken out of rotation from the spot it was first spotted near 170 — but it's still displaying its message in Maryland Heights.”

I should have paid attention to the whole article. I’m guessing it may still be in Maryland Heights since I didn’t find any articles saying it was taken down permanently! I am just appalled at this but not surprised.

The billboard was put up November 2018.

I would like to know if anyone else feels this: The approval and polls numbers for Trump don't feel right to me. I feel like "they" are not only manipulating our elections, but that they manipulate the polls too in order to keep us intimidated and on edge. They don't want the majority to FEEL like the majority.  I also wonder if this is true (what I'm sensing) that it will come out eventually before 2020 election?

@triciact, that could very well be.  It wouldn't surprise me.  Also, I've read that over the past 2 years, more registered Reps have left that Party.  Now the remaining pool of Reps that are polled is a lot smaller and made up of his die-hard supporters, which might account for the consistently high polls among Reps.  So it could really be a mixed bag.

I don't rely that much on polls anymore.  I remember reading that when they analyzed why Blotus got elected, there were many people who were too embarrassed to admit that they intended to vote for him.  In other words, they lied.  So we can't take anything for granted.

The main  factors in the repub favor  are voter suppression and a sophisticated Cambridge analytica-style disinformation campaign targeting the persuadable voters in swing states.  The second one is described in the film the great hack and is in play for 2020. The dems need to  mount a counter offensive to both favors in order to win.

It also depends on how the poll questions are worded.   Wording can favor a candidate.  Also, many polls are done over land lines.  Our younger generations do often have land lines.

This is true. Also, many people don't answer the phone if it's a number they don't recognize. So the polls are kind of meaningless. They target a specific group of people -- those with land lines and those who answer any phone call. That's not necessarily reflected of who will go to the voting booth.

And yes, the fact that the polls were consistently so far off in 2016 is troubling. Though who knows, it's possible the polls were correct and more Russian hacking of actual votes was done.

If people think Blotus can win, that's good - maybe it will scare the others to get to the polls.

@lawrence

Im not sure how accurate that article and map were. I dont know the trends across the country but I am in Wisconsin and there is no way it is strongly democratic as the map states. Its purple at best. I live in a red Milwaukee suburb and his support here hasnt wavered, nor has it anywhere near me. Milwaukee is the majority of the blue votes statewide and Ive seen no change whatsoever since 2016. Ive just seen both sides retreating more heavily to their corners. We do have a Dem governor now, but every other position in state Govt is red majority.

O.k. Thanks. I read for 5 of the best known psychics and film/tv stars on the planet. I trust my intuition. T is melting from dementia. He will not even be the GOP candidate.

Your posts always, always give me hope. You've consistently been predicting his downfall.  I feel it too, but I'm still so unnerved by the thought of another term. Yikes!

I don't believe he will be the candidate either and haven't for awhile..  Which means the dems need to be careful about  only talking about him.  Dangerous.  They can't make it all about Trump the person.

See the work of Prof George Lakoff on “strict father families.” He explains it all!

Hello all.  I took a little break to recharge my batteries.  Still at about 75% but getting better.  I'm trying not to overload on the "who killed Epstein" furvor.  Anyway, has anyone heard, read or seen the ads run by "rule of Law Republicans"?  I heard about it on one of the youtube readers I follow and breifly looked them up.  They are a group of high placed Republicans, I take it most are attorneys, who are opposing Moron due to his blatent disregard of the rule of law. They all seem to be fairly wealthy and they are considering running a candidate to oppose MOron in th primaries.  That is if BillyBarr hasn't declared that unlawful! They are running TV ads in different areas of the country.  One is supposed to be here in KY but I don't watch much TV so I haven't seen it. I have wondered how long the "true" republicans will put up with this administration and their facist tactics.  I truly believe there are repubs out there with a conscience.  I often think of my godfather who was a Repub but was also a very kind and moral man.  He was a religious man in his beliefs who showed this through actions not bluster.  After retiring from his family business he went to work for a non-profit devision of a childrens hospital.  Although he passed a few years back, I know there are others like him out there.  Hopefully they will find their voice again.

I just have to keep reminding myself that this whole administration is smoke an mirrors lead by a reality TV "star" and his group of radical misfits.  THey know nothing about the law, admisitration or the government.  I always laugh at those who say "we need to run our country like a business"  this is totally opposed with the foundation of our government.  We are not supposed to be "for profit' but "for the people".  I rememeber that when I listen to Bernie or Elizabeth.  Even if they are not the candidate in the end, they continue to draw attention to the real meaning of "for the people".

One other note, kind of funny, yesterday the MOron was at a Shell plant, I forgot where.  Anyway I saw a photo of him (I can't listen to his voice it makesme sick") the faces of the workers behind him said it all!  Most of them looked like "what the heck"!  He evidently rambled on and on without knowing what the heck he was supposed to be saying.  He went on his wind energy tangent again, showing how little he knows about anything.  Anyway turns out the poor workers had to stand there for over three hours listening to this and were not allowed to leave until after the MOron and his motorcade were gone.  There was almost a riot due to the workers were at the end of shift and wanted to leave!  Promises had to be made to keep them quite.  Now that some of the banks are releasing his financial records to Congress and the state of New York let's hope the end is near.

@penelopefp, Thanks for the Lakoff recommendation.  I've attached his 2016 article  concerning strict father families.  The Dems should have hired him as a consultant back then -- and they ought to do it now!

https://georgelakoff.com/2016/03/02/why-trump/

This is another Lakoff interview/podcast, which focuses on how voters think:
