re: transgender -- Thank you for putting it so beautifully. You're right. Our body is just a suit. It's not who we are.
Go google 'Moscow Mitch' song. Somebody needs to use this. He even mentions a turtle.
I know we all know this whole thing--everything--is about money.
Can you imagine causing all this damage just for money? The damage to us as individuals, not to mention supposedly the greatest nation in the world? We will be dealing with the aftermath of this for the rest of the time our country exists. All for money.
I'm just happy when I can get guacamole at Chipotle. My wealth is in my mind and heart.

@pacosurfer, thank you for making me laugh this morning. Funnily enough, my husband is going to Chipotle today for lunch. When I shared your quip he sighed and remarked, "Yup -- I agree."
@elaineg, Is this the "Moscow Mitch" song you were referring to? This one is by Mangy Fetlocks, The Quasi-Intellectual Existentialist Cowboy (a.k.a, Bruce W. Nelson):
There is a new hashtag going around to go along with MoscowMitch. It is to call out Lindsay Graham and it is # LeningradLindsay! How creative!
It’s the gift that keeps on giving
Lenor I believe the 4th one is Mitch you make us sick Or something to that nature. You need to understand how important this is inKY. For year Mitch has been the King of Ky politics. To have these Billboards point out what many of us have said for years is shocking! Mitch has a lot of very rich influencial friends in Ky.
I was thinking the same. This is an absolute coup.
Though, as you know, Mitch's power reaches so far beyond Kentucky it ain't funny. So, I have to believe that a canny little Democrat super pac (by which I mean a big one) finally got its game face on and decided to launch a strategic initiative when and where it counts.
If that's the case, I wonder what their next move will be. Whatever it is, please for the love of all things green, let them have hired enough savvy Gen Zs to make it all the way to checkmate.
Update from Kentucky. Yesterday was a little get together called "Fancy Farm". It is held every year as a down home picnic/political rally. When MoscowMitch got up to speak he was drowned out by people wearing MoscowMitch gear, carrying signs and chanting. He was furious! He of course blamed it on the Dems and the Socialist and swore he and Moron would never let the Socialist agenda survive. I beleive he had a rude awakening. No one is backing down. He is in big trouble in the State. He has never faced this much anti=feelings before in Ky. Another psychic I watch on youtube, who is pretty acurrate says he and his wife will be investigated and he will not be re=elected if he runs. I hope she is right! In Eastern Ky yesterday a group of coal miners who worked for the lastest mining co to shut down, held a protest to block a train from taking the coal out of the mines to market. They blocked the tracks and said all they wanted was what was owedthem for the work they did. Good luck to them. The CEO of the coal company apoligized to them for not doing a better job. Talkscheap. The problem is the are not mad at Mitch or Moron. They think if they talk to them that they will help them get their money. Poor guys are going to be lied to again and left with nothing. They never learn. I send energy to them to see the light and vote for their best interest not the rich old white men.
Breaking (literally) news re. Moscow Mitch: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/mcconnell-fractures-shoulder-in-fall-at-kentucky-home/2019/08/04/9f3e9122-b6ef-11e9-b3b4-2bb69e8c4e39_story.html?utm_term=.96558a2e018d
It seems he has broken his shoulder.
It's interesting that Moscow Mitch's downward spiral doesn't have it's own thread. It remains part of Trump's unraveling. If you read the comments on Baba's link about Moscow's mishap, you begin to see what @yogagirl has been writing -- just how angry the public is at him.
I have been retweeting cartoons on trump for a long time. Nobody paid any attention. I tweeted Google Moscow Mitch song, and I'm getting political tweets. I gotten one from Mayor Pete, and two from Leader McConnell who seems to act like he doesn't care, and things are great.

Not just for the prediction results, but this is worth every word. Thanks for posting it here @marcosromao.
Two especially interesting parts:
"[T]he only massive restructuring I might have to make to this forecast involves a significant upheaval like the entrance of a well-funded Independent candidate such as Howard Schultz into the general election, which our national survey in March shows would likely to pull 5 votes away from the Democrats’ nominee for each one vote it would pull away from Trump. Other potential significant disruptions might be a ground war with Iran, an economic recession, or a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11."
(I'm concerned about a couple of other possibilities.)
...
"The complacent electorate of 2016, who were convinced Trump would never be president, has been replaced with the terrified electorate of 2020, who are convinced he’s the Terminator and can’t be stopped. Under my model, that distinction is not only important, it is everything."
...
"Trump and the RNC accomplished [ginning up Republican voter turnout by a whopping degree] by running a base-centric mobilization campaign focused largely on stoking fear of immigration; a strategy they will replicate for 2020 while adding socialism into the mix."
Read her full report to see why Bitecofer's model doesn't predict this will work for 2020.
On twitter yesterday someone sarcastically ask if MoscowMitch tripped on his hypocracy. Another comment said a staffer denied this but said he did trip on a large bag of cash from the NRA that had been left out by mistake! i have no symphathy for hte old fart at all!
The trip is a sign that he's struggling from the surge of opposition. Perhaps he has been shielded in the past, but that local farm fest rally he attended was pretty overwhelming with all those Moscow-Mitch-wearing protesters drowning him out. It reminded me of the situation in Puerto Rico where people just got so fed up that they flooded the streets for days and would not disperse until the governor resigned.
I wonder if the Republicans fear a day when progressives of America will flood the streets of Washington D.C. for weeks and demand the president and all of his enablers step down.
