So T favorite attorney Guiliani is joking that if T rolls on him he has insurance for it.

Guiliani has said back on the 14th that he has insurance against T if he rolls on him and make him the scapegoat. He said it was a joke but is it??

Rudy Giuliani says he believes President Donald Trump will remain loyal to him but jokes that he has "very, very good insurance" should the president decide, as a reporter says, to "throw him under a bus."

This was on the 14th and now the 22nd he is showing to be one of the main characters in the Ukraine scandal.

I have a feeling Russia(or someone) is already messing with the 2020 election. Im in Wisconsin(go figure it happens in one of the most important states). I just got a letter today that my info doesnt match my voter registration. I registered here 4 years ago, info was never changed with them nor itself, but all of a sudden, my registration is in question and not matching after 4 years of matching? Hmmmm

@mas1581 - Not Russia yet, that's your own state trying to purge voters. Go to your local board of elections with photo i.d. and some utility bills and your old voter reg card if you have it. Get a receipt.

Regarding Haley, there's a rumor/theory floating around about her essential role in the plot being hatched by GOP shakers/movers to save their losing hand with trump in a way that enables them to stay in power and to keep trump's loyal maga crowd happy.  The gist of it is that trump triumphantly leaves on a sick pass (without being impeached and still claiming the greatest economy, biggest most badass wall, etc).  Then Pence takes over with Haley as his VP.  Rumor is based on the folowing chess moves aleady played:
- Haley published her book outing Tillerson and Kelly, two insiders who allegedly plotted against trump. Then she makes an unexpected public ass-kissing statement about how much she trusts trump and how easy he was to work with.
- trump makes a run to the hospital last weekend, allegedly for diagnostic tests, even though he religiously golfs on Saturdays, and even though there's a fully equipped hospital/emergency room on a lower level of the WH.
- Pence takes an unannounced trip to Iraq this week, where he makes presidential sounding statements about American forces staying in Syria and Iraq, protecting the kurds and the US not taking the oil.
- McConnell makes statements about his willingness to have a so-called "fair" impeachment trial because he knows it will never happen.

Of course, with Pence already in place, he can continue to cover up/withhold evidence of trump's crimes and, if necessary, Pence can immediately pardon trump for whatever convinctions crop up.

I have no idea how reliable this rumor is, I heard parts of it from two different sources, and both had convinction about Haley being a key player.  Also, for whatever its worth, a few YouTube psychics see trump leaving because of sickness.

@kb,

Hmm ... that's really interesting.   I just kept seeing in my mind's eye this secret meeting.  I hadn't heard the rumors you mentioned.  The only thing I'd heard a while back was that "the Mooch" had gotten together with Haley.  I think it was shortly after he began publicly criticizing T****.

Plan to use Trump's health as a way to ease him out of office.

While I have no doubt that Republicans are meeting behind closed doors plotting a way to ease Trump our of the Oval Office I see several issues standing in the way.

  1. Trump doesn't think strategically, he is purely reactive. There is no grand strategy that Trump is a part of.
  2. Trump cannot be pardoned if he were to leave, that would be electoral suicide. I can't think of anything would would galvanize Democrats more.
  3. Because of this, any deal that is made that takes the heat off of Trump would require the Democrat's buy in.  They would not agree to any scheme whose purpose was to elect a Republican in 2020.
  4. Trump still thinks he will sail to victory in 2020 and has no rational reason in his mind to step aside.
  5. Trump is unpredictable.  No one knows what he will do (with the exception of Putin) or how he will react.  While I believe there are people working on some sort of scenario that moves him out of the way, there is no way of knowing how he will react or who he takes down with him. He has indicated that if he goes, Pence goes too. I'm sure he has more than enough dirt on his VP to force his resignation.
  6. His taxes will be released soon (SCOTUS has no choice) and as the old saying goes, "the defecation is about to hit the ventilation" . Events will move fast and Republicans will have zero control of the narrative. The faster events move, the less opportunity there is for careful planning.

News reports are stating "Donald Trump has taken to “working” from his private quarters in the White House rather than the Oval Office because he distrusts the staff around him".

Nice way of saying they are hiding his mental and psychical decline from the public.  T's work from the residence excuse is exactly what was expected in his dementia dissolve. He's hiding his mobility & balance issues.

Again, he will not be the GOP candidate in the next election.

@lawrence

I had a dream of him where I saw behind a mahogany desk and he was “at the Oval Office ” in my dream I realized it was a replica of the Oval Office and he was playing president all by himself with no one around him.

Hopefully every day he looses it a little.  It’s about time he gets what he has given to us since the day he “won” the election.

A Clodwork Orange can in fact be pardoned of any federal crimes, regardless of whether or not the impeachment goes all the way through. That's what happened with Nixon - he resigned before completion of the Impeachment, and then his picked VP, Ford, pardoned him.

BUT

That doesn't mean NY State can't go after him...

I'm not saying that he can't be pardoned, I'm saying that it would be a disaster for Republicans in the 2020 election as it would galvanize Democrats. It would be so bad that they won't do it. This is important because it brings Dems into any discussion about his departure.
