Politico is reporting that the impeachment hearings could circle back to Russia and the Mueller investigation. Did Drumpft lie in his written answers? I had no idea that what dad was watching yesterday at breakfast was a phone in tirade where IQ45 was admitting that firing Comey was to protect himself. LOL Thank goodness for closed captioning and mute! Anyway, besides yesterday's 'confession' of sorts, there is still much to be unearthed. Nunes being involved shows this plan to get dirt on political rivals is over a year old, so there's much more out there.
I'm more convinced that the House will write up Articles of Impeachment, and I'm not so sure that it will make it to the Senate. Republicans have shown they want to hold on to whatever power they have. If they'll lose the majority, they'll try to hold on for themselves at any cost. It will become a free-for-all. The Senate portion of impeachment is not like the house at all. We have congresspeople making all sorts of wild arguments during their 5 minutes in the hearings. That won't happen in the Senate. Chief Justice Roberts will be the 'judge' per se, and the senators will be the jury. They won't be able to say a word. The attorneys for the dems and republicans will be the ones asking questions of the witnesses. Goldman had Castor for breakfast. There will be no wild conspiracy theories bandied about, just pure trial procedures. While in the house they can play to the public that this is a partisan issue-trying to oust a president, the senate trial will be a different animal. It will not bode well for the republicans from the top down. It is true that the senate will have to vote as a jury, and there is a republican majority. However most don't want it to go to trial. They are already afraid of a blue wave, and losing the majority. If they have a trial and on it's merits, it doesn't look good for the president-they'll risk losing their own positions and increasing the blue wave by not convicting. Now throw in the fact that I think it will be very difficult for the SCOTUS to grant an appeals trial in Vance, so during all this his tax records may come out. Will it show ties to Russia prior to the election? Will it show he's a liar about his worth? In the middle of a trial?
I know that yesterday the polling showed a slight increase in the support for 45. That was not reflective of people's opinions after hearing Sondland, Hill and Holmes this week. Lets see what polls show next week. Especially given that folks like Nunes and Pompeo are being exposed and going under the bus. The senators to save their own necks will need to cut ties, and in doing so will most likely ask him to step down so they can offer him a non prosecution deal.
I'm still holding on to hope, and I really hope that Baba was right when it was noted that Pence will go first.
And I trust our intuitions/psychic impressions more than any poll!
@Cindy, I hope I was right too, but when I tried to concentrate on what is going on with that situation, all I got was a feeling that there will be an earthquake in California. It seems that spirit does not always give you what you ask for! I did specify when asking to only show me whatever is in the interest of the greater good to know.
What I do think about the situation however, is that all of the parties are currently and quietly gaming out their next moves and contingency plans. As more information comes to light and as @Lawrence mentioned in his astrological info. when we (hopefully) all start feeling more positive next week, I think the direction that things will take will become increasingly clear.
I saw that clip of T’s call in to Fox and the looks on the faces of the hosts were priceless. They must have realized that they couldn’t stop him from talking and they knew it sounded strange and damning. T is definitely a person who is capable of sinking his own ship, so to speak.
@cindy, I agree re influencing the GOP. Politicians seem to live and die by the polls. If they weren't so attached to keeping they jobs, I sometimes wonder what good might eventually be accomplished? Polls are important, but not as much as they'd like us to believe.
And until this past election, I never really focused on how much media can drive the polls, e.g. I think about how much media time was spent focusing on Clinton's email server. So the media can drive the polls, and then the polls can influence the voters -- insofar as I believe most people, by nature, want to be part of the larger group.
I understand it's more complicated now, when you consider the amount of fake news being disseminated. So my prayer is that people will wake up to investigate what's really true, and then think for themselves.
I was moving around predictions on the Prediction Page recently to make way for the latest, when I noticed a very old prediction for this month, I see the White House turning sideways. (Jeanne Mayell) Then I also noticed this one: It looks like the U.S. is tipping sideways. Am unsure if this is political or environmental stress. A lot of distress in the southwest and Texas. Then I saw this photo today in WAPO taken this week: It looks like the West Wing is twisting, warped, and being dragged into the ground.
My feelings on what's going to happen next have not changed. I think YES there will be articles of impeachment drawn up. YES they will be sent to the Senate. YES there will be a trial, it will be short and inadequate. MAYBE Mango Menace will be convicted. NO he won't be removed. MAYBE he will resign, but only if he knows Pence will pardon him (think Ford & Nixon). Pence will pardon him if he resigns, and Pence may or may not be impeached himself, but it won't be right away and again, he won't be removed.
I agree this is all wrapped up by Spring, and then it's the long slog to the election.
If Cheetolini does not resign and is not removed, he will win the election in 2020, by hook and by crook BUT I feel like he still might drop dead before the 2021 Inauguration, and there's a chance maybe Pence is off the ticket, and I bet he picks Nikki Haley to replace and THAT is why I keep seeing her on the Inauguration stage taking the oath of office.

@laura-f, I keep seeing/feeling Haley at the Presidential podium. Her new book further confirmed it for me. My husband has been sensing the same thing. He claims he's not psychic, but some of his intuitions have come true.
I don't believe I ever posted this here, but well over a year ago I saw in my mind's eye Haley meeting with GOP operatives, including some members of Congress. They were strategizing about how to position her to replace Mango. This meeting almost felt like the secret dinner meeting held the night of Obama's 2009 inauguration, where certain GOP Congressional members discussed their plans to obstruct every legislative action Obama wanted to implement. (That meeting was separate from Moscow M. publicly stating that he intended to make Obama a one-term President.)
I don't believe what I'm seeing with Haley is inevitable, but I do see it as a strong possibility. It's like the wheels have been attached to the vehicle and are ready to go; we just need to dismantle the wheels. How we do that is the challenge!
I'm certainly not psychic - just intuitive and I just have a nagging feeling about her that hasn't gone away for the past few weeks. IDK if Pence goes first, and that is how she slides in there - but I just "feel" that she is going to be there somehow, some way. I do hope the energy shifts - perhaps that will just take time.
