Jeanne, I saw that Trump's rally will backfire. I was wondering how will it be his downfall? Good thing I am not watching it.
I just read an article on Facebook which stated that if this turns into a campaign rally, which we all know it will, any military personel will be violating the oath they take and the rules for military service (I know this has a name but my chemo brain is taking charge today and I can' think of it) Do you think Mron cares? Do you thinks anyone in his administration even knows this? If the military heads know this and sit throught it they should be court marshalled. If they are truly soldiers they will get up and walk out!
I'm glad the networks aren't televising this. Chances are he will start one of his rants and go on tto yell incoherent BS and even Fauz news will have to cut him off!
From what I am seeing while surfing, there are reports out there on some far right and far left websites that are also linking this odd event to the Russian sub. Some are saying there was actually an exchange of fire between our ships and this sub after they refused to leave our waters off Alaska. Trump supposedly called his dear friend Putin and Vlad denied they'd been up to anything. DJT just took him at his word, of course. Military/intelligence officials have just about had enough.
For the life of me I don't know why he hasn't been taken out by now. By that I don't mean violently; I am sure they have enough on him to leak to the news media.
I've heard that if he gives a political speech then his campaign will legally be on the hook for all the expense of the rally. Yeah sure, the Justice department is going to enforce that..

Polarberry - I'm here in SoCal. We felt nothing, the quake was up above Bakersfield, towards Vegas. Reports indicating no federal aid will be required, minor damage and no fatalities reported so far.

Well our prayer and meditations were answered! July 4th Moron peprally was a bust! Wow imagine my surprise when I found out we took the airports away from the redcoats during the Revelution! My mother was a research historian and we travel all over in my childhood visiting Revolutionary and Civil war sites and never once did we discover this! I of course did not watch "the speech" but from what I read it was awful. He just can't read and has no clue about anything that he didn't make up! I laughed out loud when I saw the pouring rain. They did say the celebration at the Capitol was a huge suscess, as it always is, and drew way more people.
On another note it should be an interesting week. Putin is withdrawing from the nucleaur arms treaty with the US and can now pretty much do what he wants with nucluar weapons including sell them to whomever he pleases. I also saw an article on Yahoo news that stated the NK leader is now badmothing Moron and the US. Par for the course. Next will be the Chinese. I had a friend who was an international salesman and he sold in China for a few years. The main thing he said was don't trust them. They say one thing and do another.
So it looks like MOron's great G20 meeting is turning into a $hit show. That plus Mueller due to testify before Congress should put Moron into a rage coma! The Reps are already meeting to plan a strategy to try to discredit Mueller. I don't see it working. One because Mueller, no matter what info he releases, is an honest an well respected man. The Rep are a bunch of idiots who think they can make stuff up and yell and scream and people will buy it. What is it about these men that they think if they yell loud enough people will believe them? Too bad the majority of us don't. We laugh.
@yogagirl, what a gift your mom gave you. That's wonderful exposure for a child -- most kids know so little about our country's history these days.
Besides the bizzaro airport remark, what I read of the speech was ridiculous. Also some historical inaccuracies, e.g. mixing up the Revolutionary War with the War of 1812. Whoever wrote that speech for him is a jackass.
