Today I am feeling this, too. I feel somehow lighter. I feel hopeful. I just feel it. I logged on to read this forum, and it was so encouraging to see others feel this, too.
I have felt very low and and times quite mired in despair over the sense of powerlessness. That’s gone, at least for the moment. I should be feeling apprehensive because Covid is getting worse, T is still doing what he does, SCOTUS... ugh, and though I’m still not going to assume the election is a given, I think we are going to all be okay.
I have been feeling over the past few days that when Trump leaves center stage, the virus will diminish. It’s like he and the virus are one. Both of them are wild dervishes. Destroyers. I think his “power” (whatever the genesis of it is) brought it here and it will diminish in his wake.

That rings true with me. May it be so.
@lowtide This can explain why I am getting mid-March when COVID will go away and others seeing people confident of going out by mid-2021.
@lowtide Did anyone watch Rachel Maddow last night? She was pointing out how much Covid has increased in areas where the president* has given rallies over the past two weeks. He is literally spreading it through his supporters. It made me shiver ... I got the feeling of him using it as a bioweapon: his supporters will catch it, they will spread it, they will vote for him, and then they will die; and isn't it lucky that Ivanka holds a Chinese trademark for coffins.
I can only imagine that if he loses the election, the virus WILL go away because laws will be implemented, and these minions will go back underground and stop congregating. The supply will be cut off, and common sense - that should have been in place since the beginning of the year - will move in.

When I have visualized the US at the beginning of my meditation over the last few days, it is completely dark and the energy feels heavy and almost sticky. When I concentrate on sending light a faint outline of the country returns by the time I am done. Usually when I envision the US it is lit up at least by contours of the coastline and there are lights scattered around in different places, so this is different.
I’ve been lurking for a while now but @baba you made me think of someone else I know that believes the US is going dark.

I wonder if it’s less about the power literally going out than a dimming of the strength of the people. I’m seeing that a lot of people are feeling overwhelmed by fear, grief, and sadness and/or the virus, and people may be less receptive to light(?). Maybe in the past the US being lit up has represented a stronger sense of hope and not feeling overwhelmed with darkness. I can see everyone being “in the dark” while covid is hurting lots of people and the gop tries to obfuscate and fight the election results, until this whole election period/winter of the soul has passed.

So interesting to read this about your feelings of peace and reprieve! I have been calm for a bit, but have that sort of nesting feeling of wanting to make sure we have all our things here in the house so we can settle in for cold weather, avoiding the virus, holidays, etc., so I did not personally notice a huge shift.
But reading all of your descriptions, it makes me think of a few things, 1) that general feeling one may experience before a big presentation or deadline or performance...lots of anxiety and tension as you prepare, but a certain calmness once the event arrives, 2) a "calm before the storm" gift of feeling profound peace before something big happens. I remember when my mother was very ill (in spring 2019), the day before she passed I had a *beautiful*, *calm* day here at home (I live several hours away) and just thoroughly enjoyed being in the moment that day and appreciating the peace.
This peace and calm you all are experiencing in this case makes me think that all of the hard work of sending out light, being lightworkers, rising above the muck that has been grabbing at all of us is starting to pay off. You are getting a glimpse of where we can go from here. It is to be savored and used as a reminder of strength as we move closer to and through the upcoming election.
Tuesday morning I woke up very, very early. Could not go back to sleep. Tried. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw the front page of a newspaper. It was full of words I couldn't read, but the headline was very clear, in big bold black letters, "DT EXPOSED." I could see the edges of the paper.
I saw it clearly, over a dozen times, before I got up.
I've been thinking how the people who are standing in line to vote for hours, some of them enduring voter intimidation at the hands of Twitler's hired thugs, are lightworkers too. The apathy of 2016 feels gone. He will fight to hold on to power but he will lose.
@duncan and @nelysthealchemist I am not sure what the darkness/sticky energy means. I just noticed this week that it had a different look and feeling when I meditated. It is entirely possible that there could be power outages if someone is trying to cause trouble for the election, but I would hope that those in charge would be ready for such possibilities. I am certain that everyone is feeling exhausted right now, so a figurative meaning is also possible. It was just different enough that I felt I needed to share it.
Like some of the rest of you, I also had a deep feeling of relief from about Thursday onwards for some reason. I think we still have some turbulent times ahead but that we shouldn’t be sucked into the drama of it all. Today when I meditated, I just got the sense that next week is going to be full of shocks and surprises. I think we all need to take do what we can (vote!) and then take a step back and observe. I will be doing my best not to add any energy to whatever dramas occur.
I never thought to consider it figuratively which is very possible.

I love what you wrote. Yes, it could be a calm before a storm. Or a of calm perhaps knowing you will get throw a storm. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a very long journey in the dark. Still more tunnel to go through, but the light is noticeable and it breaks through shining and spreading warmth and the promise of a new dawn.
Soak up those rays of hope, feel them on your skin. Be like the cat in the window today, even if only for a while.

This makes sense in all aspects.
If we have someone else (even another republican, theoretically) who follows the cdc guidelines and works along with even democrats to stop the flow of the virus, it will stop. But because trump wants to appear a strong man he will go against common sense and the virus will continue.

I have a friend too who sees something like an EMP attack or outage at the end of October. Also sees unfortunate loss of lives due to it...
I awoke this morning with a new lightness in my psyche. The turbulence of the Collective is creating waves of emotion and we intuitive are riding those waves. I too feel the coming election will be disastrous for DT and his family and enablers.
Thursday in a closed meeting, Trump told his wealthy donors that it would be very tough to hold the Senate. In a puzzling statement, he suggested it would hurt his soul to help certain senators.
Then later this morning I heard about the NYC Times Square billboard. Do you all know that billboard? It is huge. If you walk through Times Square it is the most dominant thing you see. Anyone whose image is on that billboard jumps out at you. Well, the Lincoln Project had taken out an ad with big supersized photos of Jared and Ivanka, Jared quoted in March saying too bad for NYC if they didn't get PPE in time to save lives. Ivanka smiling her pretty smile next to the death count.
Most of the country, including me, hadn't heard about that billboard because it's local to New York City.
But yesterday Jared and Ivanka's lawyers did The Lincoln Project a huge favor by threatening to sue them for libel. Suing people (while cozying up to this country's foreign adversaries and oligarchs) is how the Trumps have moved up the latter.
Well, hello, Trumps, welcome to the world of public service. When you are a top government official, you don't usually win libel suits unless your adversary can't afford a good lawyer. I'm surprised they don't know this, since Trump regularly defames Biden with impunity. And, in any case, The billboard is not lying. It's not libel if it is true, even if the truth hurts.
It's been verified that Jared Kushner blocked the White House response to gathering and distributing PPE to desperate cities like NYC last March. And he really did say in a large March 2020 meeting of public and private groups who were trying to prepare for Covid, "Cuomo's people are going to suffer and that's their problem." (There are two verified stories here and here where he deliberately blocked PPE distribution to states.)
As for putting Ivanka's smiling face next to the death count, that is not libel either because of her high White House position of power and responsibility over the welfare of this country. Ivanka, child, you can't have all that power (and money) without taking responsibility. So now the whole world knows about the bill board and the truth that it tells.
The chickens are coming home to roost. One prediction someone had here was that after the election Jared and Ivanka would flee back to NYC. They would be better off moving to Saudi Arabia.
But that's not why I feel lighter this morning. I truly don't revel in other's suffering, however I do feel lighter when there is more light and truth.
Something has shifted. The light workers are on the move. A blue wave is rolling.
