I'm reposting some comment posts started by Bin Zhao in the comment section of the World Predictions Page. The thread began this way and led to predictions about the Long-term fate of the GOP:
Bin Zhao: Jeanne, when you said in 2019 that will be a new president not under the radar. Can he be someone similar to Bernie Sanders?
Jeanne: Bin, I still don’t see who is going to win the 2020 election. I do see that Paul Ryan becomes stronger and more powerful in 2018 & 2019, but don’t yet see the election. I also see that the GOP is planning to go bolder and unconstitutional, clamping down on dissent, on protest, and on the press. The next election is a mystery still to me, but I've felt it will go to the GOP who will have upped their game of stealing elections through gerrymandering, voter suppression, actually throwing away or holding back actual votes of certain groups, bombarding the Internet with fake news bots, just as Robert Mercer appears to have done in the U.S., U.K., and possibly the French election and other illegal activities. .
Bin Zhao: Jeanne, do you see the GOP in the mid-2020’s that they have to rebrand or dissolve?
Jeanne: In a long term reading I did a few years ago, I saw an elephant crying after the 2028 election. I took that to mean the GOP was finally going down the drain. No amount of rebranding will save them. After that they will, I feel, become seen as societal villains, the Darth Vaders of our age. People will deny that they voted for them or were ever registered Republicans, similar to the way the Nazi Party is now viewed. Also remember that many of them will have died out by then - they are old people.
Zoron: Bin,
The “Under the Radar” 2020 President is Republican. He is known later as the “Disaster President”, who presides over the critical events that presage the downfall of the present American socio-political system. I call him the last Emperor. His timeline is not yet fully formed. It has not reached a critical mass of pre-cursor events.it is still in formation, and a probability, not a certainty. The other timeline is a “Democratic” victory, but I advise caution on this one. It has a “Democrat” label on the tin, but inside, it it much more complicated. More like a sort of political “Coalition of the willing”, but all of them faction fighting and arguing. The Democratic machine, which is now essentially rotten, and its National Committee, (Totally rotten) are semi-at-war with the “Coalition”, who they hate and loathe. Essentially, they resent and fear any real democracy and “politics as a public duty” creeping into the organisation . So crippled from the start. The Republican one is even worse. Think quarreling Mafiosi. Cake slicing, who gets the biggest slice, etc.
Also, events are going to overtake Human politics. Climate impact, as large natural events, are going to cause very serious problems for who-ever wins the booby prize, which is “Running the USA Government.” The utter inadequacy of the Governmental machine and political Government, in a serious National crisis, is going to be ruthlessly exposed to everyone. Think New Orleans disaster, but far far worse. At the moment, neither election time line has gelled properly, they are sort of sketched in in outline, so far. My betting, at the moment, is on the Republicans, due to some very evil things they are doing, and have already done, to American Democracy. Whoever wins, in 2020, they will, by 2024, wish they had not. I think we will see some certainty on this fairly close to 2020 year. The “Curse of Tecumseh” will be fully serviced, oiled and ready to go, by November, 2020.
Thank you for reposting this Recently, when I think about the Republican party I can't stop seeing Mitch McConnell as the kingmaker
I think he'll play a big role in deciding the messaging and strategy used by the 2020 candiadate
In the current short term he's the one who is responsible getting a 'palatable' healthcare bill through the senate - in the past he was the one who by not cooperating by Obama held back the country's progress on a host of issues and established the Republicans as the party of no
Does anyone have any predictions on him? I find him very distressing, he's the Republican who is not only amoral and power hungry but also intelligent and competent
McConnell is one I have always felt is enshrouded in darkness.
