Just a reminder that this is exactly why the R's in the Senate want to include liability protection for employers and companies in the new stimulus package.  Fortunately, they haven't passed it yet, so if anything happens to that girl's parents, the company might still be on the hook for the liability of not enforcing a mask rule for customers

A local school district in Arizona asked parents to sign a release form.

That didn't go over to well.

"Lab-made virus mimics COVID-19 virus: Is safer to work with, can aid efforts to find drugs, vaccines:

Scientists handling COVID-19 must wear full-body biohazard suits with pressurized respirators, and work inside laboratories with multiple containment levels and specialized ventilation systems.

These safety precautions slow down efforts to find drugs and vaccines for COVID-19 since many scientists lack access to the required biosafety facilities.

To help remedy that, researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have developed a hybrid virus that will enable more scientists to enter the fight against the pandemic.

The researchers genetically modified a mild virus by swapping one of its genes with a SARS-CoV-2 . The resulting hybrid infects cells and is recognized by antibodies just like SARS-CoV-2, but can be handled under ordinary laboratory safety conditions.

The study is available online in Cell Host & Microbe.

Herman Cain has passed. He caught Covid-19 when he attended the Tulsa rally...where no masks were worn.

As reported in the Guardian:

Cain, the co-chair of Black Voices for Trump, had attended Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma in June, where he did not wear a mask.

“We’re heartbroken, and the world is poorer,” said a post on Cain’s website, which provided insight into his Covid-19 infection."

@journeywithme2 and they still scoff at the seriousness of this virus.  God have pity On them.   Someone should be held accountable.   I wonder if faced with their own mortality would they have as much bravado as they do now.   It disgusts me.

Yes, what's evidently good enough for Rump is not good enough for the rest of the country (that is, regular, widespread Covid testing). The mentality of an utterly entitled, depraved narcissist...but what else could we possibly expect from him?
