@jessi1978 Trump will go to New Jersey to golf in defiance of the quarantine rules. However, I feel that people will still not go out unless they have to work or run errands.
Prescott is in a different county than the great Phoenix area which is Maricopa county. Maricopa is now requiring masks. Yes, there are not as many cases in Prescott right now, but yes it is also a big destination place for valley dwellers to escape to during summer heat as Prescott can be 20 degrees cooler and have much lower evening temps.
Prescott will go the way of the valley if they are not careful.

What gets me through this messy pandemic is believing I am surrounded by angels, by spirit, by God and by light. That since I am surrounded thusly and have tried my best to navigate through these times, I must give the rest up to God, to a higher source. I am not alone if I am walking with them. Whatever journey lies ahead, I am not alone and I am loved. This gives me some peace of mind when I start to stress out, it centers me.
I am learning some things too. I am making my voice be heard.
Earlier last week I made a FB post about the need to wear masks. A friend took some issue with me, about how it was not right to compare wearing a shirt and shoes to wearing a mask in public. I responded strongly that it was even more important and that we had a responsibility to save lives. That I knew way too many people who had gotten this virus, and one who nearly died.
And then my friend, James' wife, responded in my thread and thanked me and added: "thank you for taking the time to advocate of behalf of the vulnerable." I had not named her family, but her family was who I of course was thinking about.
So again I come back to the thoughts above. Do your best. Know that you are not alone. Never. Know that your are loved. Know the your words can make a difference.
@jeanne-mayell, it is nice to have these thoughts reinforced every week during class and meditations. They are becoming apart of me and for that I am grateful.

My gut is clenching but my heart is filled with great love for all of the people/families/women and children for their unbelieveable confinement, pain, loss and having to endure any and all of this American shamefulness. God bless them all.
And, i am incredibly sad for the belated motivation.
The release seems to be from the approaching time limit of confinement for minors and the virus has been brought into them by guards/other employees and now they're responsible or should feel responsible for providing medical care and quarantine/isolation.
Perhaps that's why the administration has just ended funding for all testing by the federal government.
We really need to pray/visualize medical care and the testing for everyone in all of the facilities as well as what happens to them when released into the communities where their detention facility is located.
I will focus on their being released with hopes and prayers for others to reach out and gather them into communities filled with love and help and most of all medical and spiritual care to help them through the aftermath. ???

As of Thursday, at least 11 people at a family detention center in Karnes City, Texas, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to an independent report filed with the court. Four employees at another facility in Dilley — about 90 miles away — have also tested positive for the coronavirus, and test results for residents there remain pending.
...as well as what happens to them when released into the communities where their detention facility is located.
I may be mistaken, but down here in San Diego anyone who is getting released from an ICE detention center is being immediately deported over the border, including children without family members.
The old way of working, i.e., released into community with community support and an ankle bracelet monitor after posting bond, has not happened in 3 years now.
There are groups working over on the Tijuana side to get people sheltered and fed, but medical care is non-existent.
This was posted 3 days ago by someone I know regarding the health crisis in Arizona. She is a health care worker and it is from one of the boards she is on. The numbers will of course be worse now. Our state could use some prayers. I am very concerned for our health care workers too. There are tents in parking lots now, and we just hit 3,850 cases today, a record high.
Someone threw ice water and called a teen a "pussy" for wearing a mask in the parking lot of a supermarket near where I live today.

If you want a really accurate picture of what Arizona is looking like then here it is:

Mountain Vista in Mesa. Almost max capacity 24 COVID rule out’s on the floor and 12 Covid rule out’s in ICU. Only 4 beds open across all units today. ER is holding COVID r/out’s (until they can find a bed) if need be.
Helicopter pilot from Yuma medical center flying patients to Phx because Yuma is full Tucson Medical Center called me at 9pm saying they are in desperate need of ICU NPs and will require an 8-12 week contract. (I’m not trained in critical care).
*Lots of stories of Arizona healthcare workers breaking down crying at work, calling out sick therefore being very short staffed for the next shift, and actually getting sick with COVID. EVERYONE is working overtime. Healthcare workers are getting slammed. My heart goes out to all of them ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@Parisienne, you ask what we think. First I am grateful to @Coyote for finding and reposting your post which I had missed. Second, you are on to something about those who pushback against wearing masks and facing up to Covid, and also to climate change. (Covid is a dress rehearsal for climate change which these same people also deny).
Third, many of those who do accept Covid, and climate change, have been going through the same stages of grief since 2016 and for many, including myself, even earlier. Well enough said, I will take any further discussion to the thread where you posted this.
