I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend! I will keep you both in my prayers and meditations
?
@lowtide I am very sorry and saddened to hear this. Sending peace and love to all who loved him. We’ve lost another light needlessly. Hugs to you.
Oh, @lowtide, so sorry that happened. Such a beautiful soul to lose. He will do much good from the other side.
Today the Netherlands went back into a new Lockdown. Restaurants and Bras will be closed and Mask will be soon mandatory ( they check the legal issues of making in mandatory) and no more then 3 persons are aloud as visitors in your home.
And Mask mandatory in public transport and public indoor places.
I think that is the start of the next round of lockdowns. The main reason why it happened ? Becuase people neglected the warnings and did not followed the sociel distance rules. NL had 7500 new cases in the last 24 hours ( we have 18 mill people in total) and Germany (90 Millioan) had 2500 new cases ( Zweden btw 750, the country that was not in Lockdown but has people that really follow the distancing rules)
Stay safe everyone, I think the 2nd wave arrived ...
Pardon me if this comes across as rambling but I’m trying to process my thoughts & “sensing” and would like your thoughts, ideas.
Back in Late Feb I got a bad cold that became walking pneumonia after visiting New Orleans. I was sick for 8/9 weeks and needed 2 rounds of antibiotics and the long use of a nebulizer when it became a severe bout of asthma. Needless to say, we were worried it was covid but couldn’t get tested here on the outer cape. A few psychic friends have told me they don’t think it was covid.
Anyway, my query involves the intense feelings I had then about Covid and karma. I don’t hold steadfastly to any idea that only “bad or evil” people die from Covid. There are far too many innocent and wonderful souls that have been taken... as the Honduran Dr. above that the healing world lost :-(
Since March, however, I couldn’t shake the feeling of heavy duty karma associated w many deaths. Ugh. It felt terrible then and now I feel it’s upon us. I’ve been hearing “I told you there’d be karmic reckoning.” And it pains me bc I don’t wish death on anyone... not even 45.
What are your thoughts about a karmic reckoning w people who defy common sense, science, humanity, and goodness? Does anyone else feel that this 2nd go-around w Covid (and possibly a Covid 20... sadly, that feels very strong to me) has a heavy karmic association w it?
I hope this doesn’t sound too bizarre but it feels as uncomfortable now as it did in a March, yet also feels like a resolution or a “I told you so” accompanied w a heavy sadness btw my breasts, where I always feel any heavy duty darkness coming. :-(
Years ago, when I read about near death experiences, I was struck by the idea that people were confronted, during these experiences, w how they’d hurt others during their lifetime. I made it a point to be cognizant of saying “I’m sorry” and trying to be a better person overall.
I pray that people will be “woke” during these coming tests & trials and save themselves... in multitudes. Amen. Healing light and love to all of us
I totally get what you are saying. At last night's meditation, I had this "knot" at my sternum. The circle's healing light helped me to release that energy. But I predict that the knot will return because i am an empath and I seem to internalize the energy around me. Is it our fault that we feel the negative? I don't think so. Is it wrong to respond to the feelings of anger that we naturally feel? No, unless we channel it into a hurtful act. I struggle with my hate for current circumstances. I believe in karma. It's a tightrope walk these days.
@lowtide, Getting cold shivers reading your post. It's without words, tragic and it makes me so angry that ppl still spout the 'it is just a flu' lie. 30 year olds do not die of the flu!
We're all thinking of our own countries, but those poor ppl are getting killed, have no (or hardly) any medical equipment and there isn't much to help them. I hope his family doesn't get decimated anymore than this. Light and blessings to you and yours.
I am not nearly as intuitive as some people here but I strongly believe that getting COVID is *not* direct karmic retribution for denying common sense and goodness. In some cases it may be a natural, logical consequence (for instance, participating in crowded events without wearing a mask) but I don't think it's karma any more than getting cancer from smoking is karma. Plus, good, careful people sometimes get COVID just as good, non-smoking people sometimes get lung cancer.
What I *do* believe is that the trials we are experiencing are a necessary "kick in the pants" to make humanity as a whole grow and learn faster than we've been growing and learning. In that case it would be a karmic event, but not in the sense of direct retribution for bad deeds.
@jovesta Sternum! I couldn’t think of the word! Haha
I’ve struggled w the hate too these last 4 yrs then felt that it would only hurt me, too. Has taken a lot of practice and detachment to alleviate it.
I do feel that wrongs will be righted and while there is more trauma to come (when isn’t there in life though?), that we can and will find inner peace. Look for the helpers, I heard during a recent meditation.
I’d like these other contrary feelings and words to not pop up, that’s for sure.
I try to take a deep breath--- feel the "knot" if there is one and breathe into it, and remind myself that even the most obnoxious people are still children of God/Spirit/the Cosmos. And mostly I try to turn off the TV or radio when when said people appear. That way my "zen" is not stressed as much.
(I'm a quadruple Libra but my moon is in a fire sign-- the fire can explode when nice balanced Libra has hit a limit.)
@earthangel Also it helps to remember that hate can feed the hateful. We must take care.
What are your thoughts about a karmic reckoning w people who defy common sense, science, humanity, and goodness? Does anyone else feel that this 2nd go-around w Covid (and possibly a Covid 20... sadly, that feels very strong to me) has a heavy karmic association w it?
I don't think covid-19 itself is a karmic reckoning for the world at large and the hundreds of thousands of individual lives it has claimed. However, I have always seen the evolving situation of Trump's presidency (including the Covid-19 crisis) as an essential part of his karmic reckoning, as well as that of the Trump family more generally. Of course, the question of whether our democracy will survive past Nov 3, 2020 is still up in the air, but much truth about the Trump's nefarious and sociopathic lifetime activities has begun to come forward into the public awareness, which we otherwise would never have known. By its very publicity, it is already a measure of karmic justice for this con-man who heavily relies on fraudulent facades for power.
I am aware of at least two general theories about karma. There are probably more.
The prevailing theory is that God, the Universe, the Fates, The Furies, various deities, or other supernatural forces deal out karma to individuals or collectives - either as punishment or to teach life lessons. Sometimes this karma follows a person into their next life until their transgression has been atoned or their life lessons learned.
Another view on karma is that it is just the natural and logical reaction of all the things you do in the world -- good or bad. You do good for people and they show their appreciation by doing good toward you. You put your hand on a stove and you naturally get burned. You deny medicine and don't wear a mask during a pandemic and you get sick. You neglect the environment and the natural forces of the earth react.
Whether or not some people are getting sick from Covid due to the first kind of karma, we've all seen people getting sick from Covid due to the second kind of karma. The latest and most obvious manifestation of this being all those infected from the Rose Garden event because they defiantly refused to take the virus seriously or to wear masks around so many others.
@melmystery Thank you for this response, as these two ideas are what I’ve been feeling, yet was unsure how to reconcile them. Your perspective helps me to make sense of it all and I am grateful.
@jeanne-mayell thank you for that reminder. In our grief and sadness I forget they still can do much from the other side. That is true and it’s good to be reminded of that. Thank you, I needed that today. ❤️☮️
@lowtide - My heart breaks for you, and for your friend's family and loved ones. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes for you ... so much loss around the world from this that it's just overwhelming. So many good people and good hearts no longer among us.
You are all so wonderful. Your words are a balm for my troubled soul. Thank you. ❤️
